Nice to see you back buddy! Like you I’m still mining IOT with a pretty decent setup so am just accumulating and converting to HNT every couple weeks. Excited to see where this new real world use case takes us during this bull run!

Atm I don't see much value, as the demand of it is still not there. If you follow the network usage stats, it shows Mobile has overtaken IOT by a large amount: explorer.helium.com/stats . I think the primary focus for helium is now is to build out the mobile network and eventually compete with the big boys, thats my reason I am more swaying into Mobile rather than IOT. @@duarte8546

Most importantly, nice to see you back. To be honest I was quite disheartened with the project and I do hope that it does pick up. I bought what was a available at the time, bobcat miners, three of them. I was so disappointed to waited over 11 months for it. By then the helium network has severe issues and I still have them unboxed in my cupboard. Hopefully it might be a time to take them out soon. Let's see. Hope to see more of your vids. 👊🏾
Thank you Ian for the support. You should have them out at least mining IOT, even if its a small portion. I just accumulated for the past year or so, letting them do there thing, and converted over to Mobile and SOL, as I seem them pumping during the next bull run. 👊🏾

@@Crayban me too, I have 6 iot miners in europe. Making now around 2.5$ a day, did some trade yesterday converted 100hnt to mobile and back. Now waiting for some 10$ hnt spike to sell my 650hnt to break even all the investments and work with a 20% profit.

Not to worry, I cover the project beyond just maximizing rewards. And we have to be honest with ourselves, most people in the space enter the project as an investment, not just because its emerging tech.

Hey Hisham, currently I am distributing about 60:40 helium mobile/HNT. Now helium mobile has been listed on crypto.com and Coinbase, it will pump and then level out and move steadily up of the market continues as it is.
Personal predictions would be they will both rise to x5 or more from their current price, as long as the real bull run starts. Helium Mobile I think has more of an edge to do better in terms of return across the bull run.

Hello, I would avoid the 5G hotspot for now, unless they announce that hip 101 is not passing. As with hip101 approved, the rewards for 5G will be lower over time, and would be better to buy a wifi hotspot.
Have been mining helium for over 3 years with my box. It only makes sense for me to get the plan because I'm kind of supplying my own service.
Defiantly, a plan also with an indoor or outdoor hotspot is also beneficial. Still believe it is early stages for the mobile hotspots, im sure a time will come they will be on demand, and low in supply.

Am considering buying the hotspot but I live in a rural area so i might be the only person who uses it
What I did with IOT miners was; I contacted friends that were located in prime areas, and went 50/50 on the purchase and earnings. Was a good turn around, especially when the bull run was at its peak. Broke even quite fast, held the tokens and took profits during pumps.
I'm in a rural area too. Get a few Helium outdoor WiFi hotspots they can reach the farthest. As long as you have some neighbors you will definitely earn MOBILE tokens. Especially in areas of no cell reception. 🤙
So in a rural area, the hotspot works or does it have to be the outdoor wifi hotspots?@@69orlando
so i have some questions, first I was an early adopter of helium and sadly lost my wallet I've given up trying to get that back but my bobcat miners are still connected to that old wallet am I able to swap and make a brand-new wallet and connect the miners to that one? also is it as good as it was before mining HNT? I have 2 bobcat miners and have been sitting ever since I got locked out of my old wallet, the app did an update before I was able to save my phase not a massive lose only 20HNT. last question is there any other crypto I can use my bobcat miners to mine? I used to do axies/ SLP and that was awesome but I stopped doing crypto after I lost my HNT and want to use the bobcats for something useful. any recommendations please?!?!?!

Thanks for the questions. Hopefully I can provide an insight below:
1. The thing is you need to access the wallet in order to transfer the bobcats (usernames) to a new wallet. If they are new bobcats and not associated with another wallet, then yes a new wallet is fine. Did you ever screenshot the passcodes?
2. So mining HNT has changed. HNT can no longer be mined. Those old bobcats mine IOT and the new mobile miners mine MOBILE. From my personal experience IOT is not really worth it anymore, low usage of the network, not much marketing or demand for their use. Most miners I run are down and take effort to maintain and keep live on the network if you not located next to them. If you are based in the US, then mining MOBILE I believe is still worth it, until the near of the next bull run comes to an end. The IOT I currently mine using the old bobcats, I convert to MOBILE, HNT and SOLANA mainly within the black helium wallet app.
3. I personally have not used them to mine any other crypto, however there is a guy called Justin Kace who has a video on repurposing bobcats, linked here: ruclips.net/video/eK01aT12PBw/видео.html

Well, i have 1 miner only and will setup 2 more next week and from only 1 miner im getting +65$ month, from only 1 miner !!!
Tips:
High speed internet through cable connection;
Short LMR cable 1 or 2 meters ONLY if possible use 1meter.
Good spot, like, omni directional antenna with good sight and no mountains or buildings around;
Sete it up above sea level

There is not enough info on the website to answer questions before the consumer buys this because they say they DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS, so yeah this is sort of important.

Hello, Unfortunately the only way is if you have a 5g miner with cbrs radio or a helium mobile hotspot. The IOTs hardware has only been built for long range IOT signals.

For $20 I think it is worth it, especially if you can cancel at anytime. Defo worth the deal now, especially as the back drop network is T-Mobile which has good coverage across the States.

I don't see the point of having HNT and then IOT and Mobile tokens. I understand IOT and mobile tokens since the miners have different purposes. The HNT token just seems pointless since you can convert IOT and mobile tokens to SOL.. you should do a video explaining the tokens and thier purpose .

@@Crayban its just out of beta. Its a no brainer really as you can happily dual mine iot and Crankk on the same hardware. making more crannk than iot. just need some more crankk miners to witness. its not essential though as you still get rewarded even if nobody heres your beacon.

Which devices earn IoT and which devices earn HNT? It's still not clear.
Hello, so HNT is no longer mined.
Bobcat 300, Panther X, Rak Miner, Linxdot, all the original hotspots mine IOT.
The 5g and WIFI indoor and outdoor hotspots mine MOBILE (Only applicable to the US and Mexico atm).
All the IOT or MOBILE mined is deposited into the Helium Black Wallet App. Then you have to either convert the IOT or MOBILE tokens earned to HNT within the black Helium Wallet app, if you wish to accumulate HNT.

@@Crayban That clears up 90% of it, thanks VERY much. I'll have to do some research on what the Helium Black Wallet App is since I've never heard of it before in any of the Helium documentation. I don't find the Black Helium Wallet app anywhere on the Android Playstore.

If you have an Internet connection why do you need the helium mobile data plan? And if you are a hotspot provider you shouldn’t have to pay for your data service. They are already using your paid for Internet connection

1. You do not need the helium mobile data plan, the plan is separate to the wifi hotspot devices. But you can can earn more by having the plan and using it within the vicinity of a helium wifi hotspot device or for discovery mapping.
2. I understand your point, however they still do incentivise you with what I mentioned in point 1, but that will only be for a short period of time, before rewards decrease over time.
I personally would look at it from a perspective of Helium mobile plan - what can I do to earn as much so my phone bill is paid through supporting the eco-system with data, and for the hotspot, what can I do to break even and let the rest of the tokens ride until Mobile hits certain price points to take profits. Personal outlook on it, based on seeing how the IOT hotspots evolved and then dropped in demand heavily.

Atm it's a good opportunity to buy rather than sell, based on the price. I personally am not buying anymore, have all my positions on hold until the market starts pumping, if it does.

A lot of FUD brought them down, and some of the greedy manufacturers ruined their reputation, but they are still building. 💪
lol I put 90 grand in my bank account this week from selling some of my mobile tokens. I have 50 million left and my 5g radios are earning me more everyday. So no it has not failed
