Nice video. Can't think of a more epic setting for a dogfight than "Spit" vs "109" over London. It also shows the challenge these early Spitfire pilots were facing trying to do enough damage on their opponent with their relatively small machine guns. An auto-cannon would often wreck an opponent in a few shots, where with the machine guns you needed to have the luck to hit some vital part of the plane, to really affect it.

The Messerschmitt Bf-109 and the Supermarine Spitfire is the best fighter plane rivalry in WW2, next to the Wildcat/Corsair/Hellcat and the A6M Zero. Also at 1:38, there’s the Tower of London. This game is so brilliant.
My grandmother as a kid watched a spitfire shoot down a 109 right above her house! She also saw a stuka about to bomb a bridge only to pull out because there were kids playing cricket on it. No joke!

That low down never happened and Me109s only had fuel enough for few minutes over London after which they'd head back to France and be picked off over the Channel.... good fun though1
Exactly. In the real world fight them for 10 minutes over London, then disengage. any not shot down are going down in the channel before they make landfall in Abbeville or Cap Griz Nez

fred wilson ....that’s true.....but, if I was a German fighter pilot flying over London, as a desperate escape tactic against a Spit or Hurricane, I would fly in the weeds to make the the other guy afraid to shoot for fear of hitting friendlies, human or otherwise.

I need help from the experts at ATAG to get my install up to this standard. My control settings are lumpy and for some reason never save properly. Also I have no gunsight reticles.

oh why do they persist puting the aircraft at about5or6 thousand feet almost all fights were at 15to20 thousand ft up NOT DOWN IN THE WEEDS

Your reticle lamp must be off. You need to turn it on in the cockpit or assign a key to it.
