I still remember this monster, carting twice and killing him in the last minute of allowed time with no potions and a quarter of my health remaining. This music just plays on my nostalgia so much its incredible. For some of you, 8 years ago is no big deal, but considering i was 9 at the time, it really seems worlds apart for me
Same here I was 10 years old , doing all the history and high rank solo b'cause of an absent online on 3ds... And it was hard to fight him at rg5... But when you succeed, the G rank come and slap your face. Then I was blocked. And 5years later I got the chance to continue in the Wii U version (thanks to capcom 4 the data transfer), and I finally finished it in 5years. This monster was and still awesome.

I remember spending a week just trying to complete that stupid g2 double brachydios quest which i found impossible. The moment i finally did it was hands down my greatest moment of any videogame.

In fact, I felt that the original had its biggest moment at 0:41 but in World's rendition it hits hardest at the end of 1:09 - 1:39.

I always loved Brachydios’ design but could never stand the fight. Now in world with the improved movement controls he’s easily become one of if not my favorite fight. I think it’s because the better movement in world allows you to move more to Brachy’s tempo as appose to previous game where it felt like you were just waiting for the chance to fight back
@J Wilt Yeah even the devs acknowledged that Brachy was unfair in Tri, they improved his moveset for 4U, and his World fight is the best by far imo. The slime looked better in the past games though.
Possibly the best remix of all the returning monster themes. The old theme was fine but didn't have much build up or climax, just almost always had the same tone but this version builds up to really hype up the fight.
Gabriel even then, they aren’t bad at all. It’s mostly subjective but coming from a musical structure, and composition standpoint they are all astounding.
I love how chaotic his fight is. One can say he's a blast to fight. The theme just makes it better, feels similar to zinogre where its a sort of mythical beast.
My favourite part is when they said doro rorod do dorod do dorod do dorod do dorod do rodod do rororo Doro rorod do dorod do dorod do dorod do dorod do dododo rororo. Truly amazing
Brachydios might tie with other apex monsters in turfwars, but I can still see it ending an actual fight quickly and decisively outside of gameplay mechanics. Take Azure Rath: after the turfwar, Brachy usually immediately leaps at Rathalos. So that’s an insta slime and one dead Rathalos.
He is small but dense. Think a Triceratops with a T.rex's body, plus two nuclear warheads for forelegs for good measure. Due to his shorter height, Brachy has a lower center of mass and that is what gives him his signature agility.

I met Brachydios in Mh4U and i never had such a struggle witha monster after 3000h gameplay. I felt like im constantly dodging and theres no opening. I hated it but then theme changed to this epic part and it truly fueled me, making this challenging fight the best hunt of the game. This is my favourit and then comes the one from Jinouga (portable 3rd) now zinogre
As a Lance main, Brachydios became my nemesis by giving me my first ever defeat. I haven't bought Rise but I do hope they include old brachy so I can fight him again.
The mood this song sets is nothing short of phenomenal, and each change in melody is so fitting of what the Brachy fight is. A booming face off has it throws punches, heart racing as you dodge the slime he sets to throw you off, leaping out of the way of his lunges. All the while, you're establishing yourself as a worthy combatant of this beast. You'll gain its full respect by killing it.
This theme is so heroic at parts, makes it sound like Brachydios is the protagonist.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who felt that.

0:41 this part alone just completely blows the OG theme out of the water. You simply can't hear this in-game and not get a hyped

I know it's been a while since I fought him in the Old World, but I thought he was hard as hell in Iceborne, the hardest returning apex for me.
Faceless Solaire Brachydios has always been one of the hardest 5-star monsters since 3U for me.

Yeah and bazelgeuse can kill elder dragons with 1 bomb and xeno could be killed with 1 to the face aswell.
