Coffee, and TB content. Great way to start the day! Hope you've had a great time visiting your family, Matt. Appreciate you bringing us along. Tight lines and safe travels!
Your Extra Heavy:Heavy Power Rods explanation at about 13 mins in the video also translates to golf. If you have a slower swing speed in golf, you need a softer flex shaft in your club. As you consistently share, having the right equipment makes a huge difference in your success and enjoyment. Thank you for all the great content!!!
Nothing better than getting up before the sun comes out, loading up all the gear, having a successful day on the water, and coming home to find a tactical bassin video to watch!!! Caught 2 on a buzz toad and 3 on a shakey head today!! Not bad for bank fishing!!! Thanks for all the tips guys! Got up and caught a few before the heat really hit. I'm in IL so trying to do as much fishing as I can before the cold comes. Just recently purchased a vehicle capable of hauling a kayak, and trailer a boat. Have a basic beginner kayak I've been using this year but looking to upgrade sometime before spring. The tips you guys give are literally worth their weight in GOLD!! I've watched some videos multiple times and still find useful information. Hands down the best fishing youtube. No ads, no gimmicks, no pushing merch, only the BEST information available when it comes to bass fishing!!! No B.S. Included! Edit: Also I am one of those people that will throw a frog all day keep it tied on, try it all day hoping for one big splash!
It's awesome that you get to be out with your old man and brother fishing, cherish those moments. People think I'm crazy when I tell them what I use for frogging...6'6" H st croix premier and a 7'3" sixgill fishing MH cypress rod. I have yet to have an issue with either
That last fishing spot is a good one, I beat up that whole stretch and super close to the red bud launch. Some big fish in that cove by the rock wall also.
Snapped a TFO 7'4 XH Pacemaker through the handle on a hook set a short while ago while frogging and have never felt so hardcore. I knew my frog hookset was strong.. but setting a hook 50ft out and pulling through to have just the reel left in my hand was a rollercoaster of emotions inside of 3 seconds. Hand bombed the fish in. Was expecting bigger than 3lb on a rod snap - but either way I still feel like iron man.
I've just seen one of your old video from 2017 "where do bass go in summer and fall" uploaded in Agust if I'm right. I hope to see more video with that format again, a mix with electronic tips and fishing in real time!
I smashed a 24 inch spot on a chatterbait in Arkansas, late spring. They've about completely replaced spinnerbaits for me. Obviously there's a place for both, but if it doesn't matter, I'm throwing a jackhammer!
@@Tbowie13 yeah same, but i think its about time i whip out some spinner baits. everyones throwing a chatterbait around where i live and they just dont get bit like they first did when they blew up on the market.
@@tagg946 Yeah, I hear ya. The time is ripe for flukes right now though, during this transition back to fall. Been banging em on flukes and small (match the hatch) jerkbaits. Little 78's have been getting it done.
Hey Matt I have noticed that sometimes you use a mega bass orochi xx briallist on your jackhammer does the fast action tip graphite rod work because I have the same rod with the same metanium mgl on it
Need some help. Just purchased a Gavacho Popper frog and it seems hard and when I grab it and slide the frog through my hand the hooks just slide by. I'm affraid this is not going to have a high hookup ratio. What do you suggest?
Wow Matt! Did you guys catch anything under 3 1/2 lbs? Y'all punished the big ones but front ended Dad. Bet that's not his first time though. Outstanding video!
i love frogging and do well but i just wish i could set a hook like Matt , if i'm losing fish with a heavy rod should i drop to i stiff med heavy ? great video
Do you feel like you're losing them from a weak hook set or something else? A medium heavy might be too soft entirely but perhaps a shorter heavy power?
So I have tried using my 7’2” heavy fast jig rod for fishing frogs and I can’t get them to walk no matter what frog I use. I’m thinking I need a rod that is a heavy but has more tip to it. Idk if that’s right.
Great video! Question: Have you guys ever fished with the "Snake Lure" from Savage Gear? I'm thinking of sinking some money into it. What would be your opinion?
Think they have done some crappie videos and I assume they love to catch all different types of fish like the rest of us. The reason the channel sticks to bass fishing is because it’s the most popular freshwater fish and the channel appeals to a lot of tournament guys aswell just my thoughts. Would be cool to see the boys target some other species for future videos or tips for other fish when they are up north or down south in Florida in the ocean.
man I was out there Saturday (8/28) and didn't catch a single one. we could find them on the graph but could not buy a bite if I tried. I literally threw every single frog in my arsenal and nada :( really bummed because I came down from redding in hopes of breaking my PB and got skunked :(
Why are the fish is Clear Lake so big? Other places, too, like in Texas, Florida, or the TVA? I know Lake of the Ozarks has huge bass, especially since so many anglers focus on crappie and cat fish species, but the ones in these other fisheries seem so much bigger. What are the factors that make fish so big in these places as opposed to somewhere else?
For the most part the key is Florida strain bass and the right climate for them to thrive. It never gets super cold for long periods of time in the places where FL strain do well and there is a healthy food chain supporting a strong forage base. FL strain grow fast and eat year-round.
So weird seeing Matt with the beard shaved off, a decent hair cut and wearing shoes on top of that. LOL You can really tell you guys are brothers though

Dang, that hookset at 6:12. I can feel that from my chair!
That was so solid!
Ha! We don't mess around 😂
That's what it's all about right there. Family and fishin'! Glad you got to visit home Matt. Hope everyone is safe from the wildfires.
Such a cool trip! Glad you had fun in Cali! 😎
Quality time on the boat with your pops and brother. You can't beat that!
That cup catch was impressive! Perfect execution. Haven't seen that one before 😆
Like Ricky just said, coffee and TB to start the morning! Matt, it was awesome to see your brother and have your dad on the video again!
I love how the up ward hook set sounds with the braid riping accross the water
No better sound in fishing in my opinion!
back on clear lake!! let's go!
How awesome to be able to fish with your brother and dad. Great day no matter what happens!!!!

Matt’s the freaking GOAT
Love the channel great to see family involved
nothing better than a day of fishing with family and hitting topwater
Ha! I knew in your punching video that you were in State Park Slough. Great to see you guys back on home waters!
That looks like some great Family fun!

Matt's bro catches my PB coffee cup, and just pretends like it's no big deal :p
Those Clear Lake bass are awesome. I’m sure you know all the sweet spots on the lake by now!
Matt knows every rock pile forsure. 😄
I like how Matt and Tim has everyone trained to get out of the camera view once they get a bite. Lol
Yes. Perfect. Just what I needed.
I think I have a solid hookset but stepping down in power has worked so much better for me!

GREAT frog fishing and family!
I love watching you guys
Wow that’s awesome I live on watts Barr but clear lake has some quality bass I would love to fish that lake Matt you are such a hammer
Chatterbait has been killing it for me lately! Thank you for teaching me how to use one!

Those fish had some beef to them. Great to see you fishing with family.
Man I was hoping to see Pops catch a few!
It is amazing that a "travel" rod can bend like that and not break.
Matt, it looks like the south is growing on you. You really growing that beard out, keep letting it go and maybe you'll have one as good as mine LOL
When are you guys coming to do an episode on Mille Lacs in Minnesota?
Excellent video as always. Which Champion model boat were you using and I love that it didn't have a big screen tv on the nose.
Hey Matt I have noticed that sometimes you use a mega bass orochi xx briallist on your jackhammer does the fast action tip graphite rod work because I have the same rod with the same metanium mgl on it
A boat full of Allans lol,and I don’t think I’ve ever caught a coffee mug 😂🤣
Love the Boise State gear! Go Broncos!
I was wondering if one could get a good cup of coffee at Clear Lake. Now I know.
Hey Matt , are you using the moderate x heavy?
Excellent.

Have you guys had much experience fishing off deep v hulls in clear lake? Obviously concerned about getting the deep v too shallow. Thanks!
You won't have any issues in Spring 👍🏼
Great video. It would have been nice to see your Dad more.
How long is the boat in this video?

Clearlake and musky fishing. Let's see what you've figured out on the TVA this fall...
Great video! Question: Have you guys ever fished with the "Snake Lure" from Savage Gear? I'm thinking of sinking some money into it. What would be your opinion?
Curado 150mgl review?
I can watch you smash hook sets on a frog all day brother
Hey Matt, where did you guys launch the boat with the low water? Thanks!
5th Street in Lakeport 👍
I caught a fender from a snowmobile a couple of years ago but never a coffee cup
Good morning!
really amazing and the results are great
Sangat bagus salam dari indonesia
That hook set at 6:12 will be a highlight reel.
How’s the algae on clear lake
Hey Matt and I'm a big fan of your RUclips channel... I was just wondering that if Bass are the only fish you guys catch only?

Your brother has a Boise State hat on! Did he go there or live there by chance?
His son goes there and we have a bunch of family in Boise 👍
@@tacticalbassin oh wow, I live here now and see that blue and orange around every corner haha!
Wow. How could you ever leave Clear Lake?
I can’t wait for some rain in California, I’m afraid we are so dry that what water we get it’s gonna wash away towns.
man I was out there Saturday (8/28) and didn't catch a single one. we could find them on the graph but could not buy a bite if I tried. I literally threw every single frog in my arsenal and nada :( really bummed because I came down from redding in hopes of breaking my PB and got skunked :(

So weird seeing Matt with the beard shaved off, a decent hair cut and wearing shoes on top of that. LOL You can really tell you guys are brothers though
😂😂😂 Too funny! Take it one step further... we're on his boat and mine is almost identical to his.
How you guys doing?!!
Before I die, I want to frogfish clear Lake.
Stop fishing and let your dad and brother catch some BASS!😅🤪😜😋😛

The tips for beginners should simply State show up at clear lake lol
Fishing at the bank from a boat lol
