Hi yes we did, it is pretty essential to have one for safety reasons. We also fitted one bellow the gas connection under the hob Incase it leaks. Drill a hole with a small drill bit first to make sure you’re in the right spot
Thanks! The poptop was fitted by Westdubs, if you check out their website they will have some up to date prices. Solar panel itself was about £150 and the solar controller was £60. Was all fitted by ourselves but is a fairly simple job

This was using solid works. Fusion 360 is a good free cad software though
Is it possible to sit upright and comfy with a coffee, when the roof is closed?
Yeah I’m 6ft tall and can sit up comfortably still. The poptop roof does add a bit of extra height compared to the standard roof even when down tho
