Just got back from a trip to Cuyuna as part of a bigger family vacation with the in-laws who live near The Cities. The trails were excellent, we caught a ton of fish, Cuyuna Brewing & Red Raven are both excellent stops and as with seemingly everywhere in MN, the people were incredibly nice!
I am moving to Minnesota tomorrow! This has me even more stoked!

Tioga Recreation Area is pretty sweet and the Redhead Mt Biking Park in Chisholm will be opening soon. 70 miles of machine built single track between the two.

Since this video was made, Minnesota has added at least 6 new amazing MTB trails throughout the state, and extended several others like Cuyuna. Jackpot, Redhead and Giants Ridge are World-Class MTB trails. I used to head to Colorado for MTB, now I stay right here in Minnesota - we even have Great Winter MTB'ing for those intrepid people that can't stand to be "Cooped-up" all winter, and have Fat Tire Bikes.
There is way more then 6 bruh! I live in Minnesota and there is hundreds of great trails just have to explore more

The Cuyuna trails are named after the name of the iron range, called The Cuyuna Iron Range. There is a small village called "Cuyuna" but it's not where the mine pits and trails are. They are by two small adjacent towns called Crosby/Ironton (population about 3,000). I live in Crosby.

Elm Creek, Battle Creek, and Murph Hanrehan are good shredding also. MN has much to offer!
Garvin hights here in Winona, Mn is nice stuff too, especially the uppers.
I have been to Cuyuna many, many times. one thing is though, that they do get a LOT of harsh weather like severe thunderstorms. Especially in the spring, so if you are planning on going there anytime soon, do so in the summer.
I don't think it has rained on the Red since early April.
Great skatepark in Cuyuna also some fun other attractions. It is a great place for beginners and pros everywhere.
This looks like a super rad spot to ride. Epic drone shots of mt biking. Kinda makes me want to go there. I am spoiled where I live though.

I’m on a mountain bike team in Minnesota and 1 of my races I had was at Detroit Mountain but it was like 3 hrs from my city so I didn’t go to it

There is a ton of good riding in Minnesota! Hopefully you hit up Battle Creek, Welch Village, Murphy-Hanrehan and Theodore Wirth while in the twin cities. I do some mountain bike content on my channel and love all these trails. These purpose built singletrack are a lot of fun to ride.

@@bacala0 Lebanon Hills has more drops and technical features. Cuyuna has better flow trails.
@@BrianVaughn Appreciate the prompt response! I've been to Lebanon a few times and love it. (live in Madison, WI) Never been to Cuyuna; it's in my list as the dirt looks amazing and everyone raves about it. So out of the ones you mentioned, which one is your favorite? Just trying to look for an alternative to Lebanon. Do you like Duluth? I really like your channel btw.

Minnesota advertised on The Loam Ranger and now on Pinkbike in quick succesion. The region is probably suffering from low visitor rate, so don't watch this, go for a weekend or mtb vacation and support if you can.

I've been to Detroit Mountain a few times for ski races. It's crazy to see that they also have mountain biking trails.
