You are such an inspiration, Gaynor. So good to realise that even you get into a bit of a mess sometimes and don't know exactly where you are going. But you do keep going and then suddenly a lovely painting appears!! Lesson learned.... just keep going!

Agree with all your viewers-your home, garden and studio are just esthetically beautiful! So happy you are doing well and obviously gaining your strength back. We can hear it in your voice. Well done Gaynor for getting your exhibition together despite being under par. Admire your drive. I wish I was closer, I’d love to have visited. Lavender/ violet and white has reared its head again 😵💫😂 I know we all have own favourite palettes but the dark red violet improved it imo. Thank you for sharing how you continued to explore and develop that piece. I just loved watching you work through it, and of course it was so beautiful when you were done. You continue to give me such inspiration to explore and experiment. Next time I feel stuck in my art, I'm going to ask myself "What would Gaynor do?" Keep going of course! Yes……hmmmm. Bob Blast (Robert Burrell) does some lovely florals using his colour wheel principles to make great paintings. Thank you for your lovely videos……they are taking the place of my own practices at the moment- hubby still in hospital and likely to be so for a good long time.

@@gaynorpattle hi Gaynor…..much relief here as he seems to have turned a corner. Crazy deadly bacteria from our holiday in Thailand…..NHS (wonderfully) have saved his life. Still a long way to go but I can probably relax a bit more now.. Big heart op on the horizon where it destroyed 2 of his heart valves,,,, Do keep your Thursday RUclips fun coming…..I love them …a bit of loveliness in a scary and tense situation. Thank you. You make me smile! I will get out my color wheel. I got it out a while back for my first chair painting… and it was a success. So much so that I will probably put it in our fall show! (Yes, I joined an artist’s group at your suggestion.) Also bought a very inexpensive cheese plant with 4 leaves, now it has 15 leaves! Yesterday I made a start on a painting of it! I’ve been a bit stuck in my creativity efforts of late and your video today encouraged me to lay down a few grounds using the color wheel. I so much enjoy listening to your in depth commentary on your process, but I have to admit & sorry to make this comment that your choice of music for me especially is intolerable , and I need to mute and then put the words on the screen which nowadays are in a super large font and cover too much of the screen.

i was feeling quite a bit of anxiety over leaving on a trip early in the morning. your video helped calm my mind. i loved how you explore with paint and used the colour wheel to help problem solve. i am a retired art teacher and as soon as i saw the colour wheel i felt so relieved! also, i wonder what style you call your painting? i create via skill along with expression . . . i understand your work and simply love the painting with squished pallet and white in the centre. it is hopeful and speaks to my heart. getting on with my packing now . . . off to Alaska! cheers! ~ Deborah
