  • These two sisters from the Klahoose First Nation share their love of making bannock.
    In the 2016 Celebrating Seniors Film Program, several generations came together to produce short films. Spanning 11-88 years of age, the participants collaborated to create five documentaries that celebrate the rich history of Cortes Island and its residents.

    My granny would always have these ready on the stove all day .for breakfast sugar on it or chilly for supper. I loved it plain .

    I've been to Cores Island a few years back. Would love to have tried this bannock. Looks good! I'll have to make my own.

    I've done that to my sisters a few times with them standing right beside me and me saying my Mom! They usually give me a look and I correct myself and say our Mom😅
