Excellent review, thank you. Just to add my bit. Had both. Kept the Glamster. The Bell is exceedingly noisy even at lower speeds. I did find the speaker placement far better on the Bell though, in comparison to the Glamster. The speaker placement is way too high for me on the Glamster. The ideal placement would have been exactly where the chin straps meet the inside skin of the helmet. The glamster is a tighter fit so airpods are always knocked out when i put the helmet on so ear plugs are a thing now! The Bell is a very 'round' helmet and me having a more oval head I found the Bell to be looser and did start to wobble on my head at higher speeds. The helmet fit according to all the tests were good ... finger test, chin strap etc. Just an awful lot more room in the helmet. Also the always open ventilation ports on the front of the Bell would get clogged up with splattered bug bits and was very hard to keep clean and dry and again added to the high wind noise issue. Al in all though they are both very good helmets suited for different situations/conditions. The Glamster, for me, is a much better helmet given the fit and is a keeper for a much wider range of conditions.
Thank you Mr.B, really appreciate that. I don’t do long distance with the Bell so works well locally. Completely agree with above and although I will keep both, but they are very different. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Thank you for the detailed review. It was really helpful for my situation. I'm exactly considering among three helmets; shoei glamster, open face and bell bullitt. Thanks again and have a good one! :)
For me the Glamster is the best. I've owned a Hedon and a bullet and both are terrible helmets but awesome to look at. Glamster does it all and you can use actually riding.😆🤙🏼
@@BikesVansandThings Hi Rob. yes mate .Just waiting waiting for the sun to come out so can rock the tinted one. The bullet and the hedon are so loud and leaky so glamster all the way . 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Mmm….Bullitt. It feels like an open face and 90% of my trips are non motorway and not commuting. The visibility I get with the Bullitt makes it safer in my opinion.
Thanks for the video mate! I'm still considering to buy bullit or glamster. Btw how's the sizing of bullit? They say u gotta up 1 size from your regular size
Thank you! I love both helmets for different reasons but 90% of my rides I use the Bullitt as the visibility is great and I think it looks the best. I have roughly a size up yes. You will get a bit of noise and wind at high speeds but a good thermal balaclava solves that problem especially on long trips. 👍🏻
@@BikesVansandThingsso could you please tell what sizes you're using on both? Cuz i decided to buy glamster and already have bullitt. If the sizes are the same there is no problem. Thank you!
hello, I had a bell Bullitt 2014 and I want to replace the top liner. NEW fit of top liners (model after 2018) has different fixation in front side. How I replace old one and mount new fit liner ?
I’ve been thinking exactly that for the Malle Rally this year. Yes is my answer as long as you wear a full head sock-thingy and have some ear plugs. This is what I will be doing 👍🏻. Hope this helps?
Hi there! I’ve had a couple of drips inside the visor in heavy rain but nothing through the vents at the moment. To be honest, I’m the rain I’m appreciative of the wider view the Bullitt gives as other helmets can be really restricted in the rain
@BikeswithRob Wow! That's a really good point I've not heard before! Can you elaborate more on that because I'm torn. I really want the Bullit. I just want one. I don't want both the Glamster and the Bell Bullit. In the summer I wear only a half shell helmet like Harley Bikers. I'm American here in the state of Pennsylvania. I know some people complain about some wind while on a bike, but in my opinion, that's the whole point I'm on a bike and not in a car. I want to be in nature and feel the wind and hear it. Higher speeds, yes, insert some cheap earplugs that you bring with you in your pocket. Case solved.
@@BikesVansandThings Thank you very much. And you say, that though you may feel a few drips in the Bullit in the rain, that it still remains better in respect to your visibility due to the wider field of view the Bullit has in those rainy conditions?
I believe mirrored visors are, as a rule, illegal. According to Google: BS and ECE-rated mirrors also comply with UK law during daylight hours. Mirrored visors, despite their status as technically illegal (unless using a verified road-legal insert or BS/ECE-rated), are not commonly pursued by police for prosecution. A tinted/mirrored visor is only illegal when being used. Therefore, having a mirrored visor fitted to your helmet in the raised position is perfectly legal but once lowered, you’re (technically) breaking the law (conspicuously so at night).
One of very few reviews that shows the helmet on head, from a distance, while riding, visor down. Thank you!!
That’s great! Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks Joe! Starting to agree with that assessment. Glamster feels like a complete item. I like the dark visor on it also. Have you gone for that?

Which peak visor is the one on the open face Bell Custom 500?
oh and congrats for you helmets, one is the best!
It’s the short peak bought from Urban Rider 👍🏻👍🏻 thank you for the comment 🙏🏼
Yes probably, but after having owned a Marko Full Moon helmet for just over a month, not sure anymore. ;-)
I’ll take a look!
Really helpful review...thank you.
Thank you David 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Bob, please can you let me know what is the type of the speaker on the Bullit in the test. Thank you.
Hi there! Thanks for watching. It’s the Sena 3s
Could you tour with the Glamster? 6 or 7 hour rides?

Will always be.
Is it suitable for round oval head shape?
so is it wider than the sides?
It’s good for oval which I am 👍🏻
what do u think about the concept-x by arai?
They need to make a "quiet" version
I wear a head scarf/snood which really helps to close the gaps
At the time of raining did the water leaks into air ventilation hole ?

What comm unit do you have on the bell bullet.
Why bell doesnt produce matteblack colour?
I like the gloss and white but the carbon is probably the most Matt looking.
heat?

Is there any space for corecction glasses inside?
Unsure tbh. Apologies
I'm not keen on it, although the carbon finish is superb.
👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for keeping it real, man. It looks fantastic, but if you’re a function over form kind of guy, it might not be the best choice.
Not sure I am 😂 it’s been great for short coffee trips which is my primary use of the bike 👍🏻👍🏻
