- I redecorated our entire living room in the summer of this year (2022), by ripping out everything from the floor to the ceiling, including all furniture. I designed a different layout - the dining table would be on the other end of the room - and most impressive, a wall with a total of 18 concealed drawers and 5 cabinets. For that I used IKEA materials, like the 'exceptionell' push-to-open drawers and the 'utrusta' hinges.
(I disabled those annoying non-skippable video ads and mid-roll ads for this video - you can thank me for that.. :-)

The wall drawers are so unexpected and fabulous! Such a huge change from the old look.
That’s a much better use of the space. What a difference! Great job. My wife wouldn’t let me build a fairly large patio cover as she couldn’t visualize what it would look like. I scratch out a quick drawing, nope, can’t visualize. So I spend the time to draw as nice of a rendering as I best as I can, and put in all the measurements. She looks at it, tells me she still can’t visualize it, but she trusts me, so I can finally build it. BUT, the woman wanted to know how much it was going to cost!!! Anyway, my wife would never allow me to do what you did, and it would take me a year to get final approval from the wife!! ! I love the woman tremendously, but she can drive me mad. Again, great job on your home, and great design!

Ha, it is everywhere the same.. same here. I made a drawing too, and she couldn't visualize. Then as I said the wooden strips would go for a part over the ceiling too, she was very reluctant - I had to talk to convince. She even tried to talk me out of it, but I kept saying 'no, this is the way I'm going to do it'. In the end she gave in and said 'I trust you'. And now she is very happy with it too.
To be honest, if I would get the free hand completely, I would have pushed it even further and laid another floor in that part too. So it is a compromise, but maybe for the better..

Hey, I'm from the netherlands aswell and thinking about starting a similar project, but with a touring car. What are the monthy costs and were you able to get it insured
Je reageert op een video van mijn woonkamer... wil je dat doen met een bus? Of wil je de maandelijkse kosten van mijn bus weten? Je kunt het zelf uitrekenen; belasting, verzekering, stalling, onderhoud, brandstof. Voor mij ongeveer 4000 / jaar; 1500 stalling, 1000 belasting, 1000 verzekering, rest onderhoud. Die laatste is ieder jaar anders, tussen 200 en 5000 euro - 5000 als je pech hebt en er moet veel vervangen, zoals luchtbalgen of banden (375 / stuk). Verzekeren is lastig; De Vereende, kost een vermogen, maar ze ondersteunen schorsen, dus als de bus stil staat, is hij geschorst.
Mijn waardering voor creativiteit en werk maarehhhh ... Ik vond de oude situatie mooier.
Dat mag. Ik heb het niet voor jou gemaakt. Wij zijn er allemaal (alle vier inwoners) blij mee, en voor mij is het nogal wat dat ik iedereen tevreden heb kunnen maken, want de helft is in enigermate autistisch, en die willen liever niets veranderd hebben... 😊

Frisjes hier, en weinig opwinding in dit wat suffige provinciestadje. Maar het weer werkend krijgen van een electrische step is wel een uitdaging. Verder hou ik de verveling weg door af en toe wat handigheidjes te programmeren in een makro-editor.

Maybe next year, as we plan to go away with it, more into Europe.
