Both players showed a fantastic gameplay. Both ploayers used great and really strong MK9 fighters - Kabal, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Mileena. It was a great nostalgia match. I miss that MK9 tournaments hype

MK9 was played for the roster and fast combo game. 11 isn’t known for those things, so I doubt it’ll be played at tournaments when MK1 is out. It’s like how Smash Melee is still in tournaments, but 4 isn’t

It’s all down to your personal preference, and there’s no harm in preferring one over the other

This reminds me of how fun MK can be. MKx looks so shallow, boring in comparison. I like how much control you have in MK9, while MKx focuses too much on the ex moves and 50/50s. Id buy an MK9 4K edition with some characters fixes and improved netcide in a heartbeat.

Alan Lucas i cant agree my friend. Visually mkx lacks color and many of the MK elements. Mk9 was far from perfect, but the modes (2vs2 tag) stages, characters etc. Was alot of fun. And the gameplay was more focused on footsies. You had alot of combo potential without relying on EX moves. In Mkx it feels very liniar with too much focus on 50/50s. I like new ideas just not what was implemented within mkx.

Kabal is incredibly difficult to use in high level play. MK9 is better than MKX and the whole Injustice franchise :).... It looks fast feels fast and people still enjoy it (Including myself).
