  • Reduce stress naturally with a dose of journaling. There are so many reasons to journal but I'm limiting myself to 10 health benefits of journaling for the purpose of this video.
I've always loved to write things down, whether a to do list, a mind map, etc. It helps me organize my thoughts. But it was only when I went traveling around the world on my own for a year that I really felt a 'need' for journaling.
Journaling became my friend! I took a pen and notebook everywhere. To restaurants eating on my own, on long, bumpy bus rides, in ant-infested hotel rooms.
A journal kept me company when I was lonely, helped me process difficult situations and reduce stress when my introverted self wanted to stay holed up in the hotel room.
So here are some of the reasons journaling could help you.
    1. It helps process your emotions.
    2. It helps to reflect and become self-aware.
    3. It provides a healthy outlet for emotions.
    4. It can improve your physical health.
    5. Journaling promotes creativity and in turn, helps you become calm.
    6. It gives rise to the true, inner you.
    7. It can improve your relationships with others.
    8. Writing provides a moment of stillness, like meditation.
    9. Journaling scans for any emotional tension.
    10. Journaling can help with mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression.
It's such a low cost activity, all that is required is a pen and paper. Who know's, it could improve your wellbeing.

I have gotten into writing in a journal in the past and somehow I find it daunting to be consistent with it… Long story short recently I am doing video journaling and I am not only watching myself and my own emotions but I am also gaining a third person perspective and I am trying to be consistent with doing video journaling so my main concern is storing those video journals somewhere safe so that I can access them again. Like you said writing isn’t the only thing to do in journaling, there are other mediums of journaling that you can use even video journaling for example, or a lack of a better example RUclips it is a good example if you are sharing your thoughts to the public and you do have the option of having your own videos private. If I have to upload my videos on RUclips and search them for private viewing then I will make sure no one else will be viewing them except for me so that I will be reflecting and it would at least store my own videos where I can access them later and still manage to save room on my mobile devices

That's a fantastic idea, and not easy option when you have to watch yourself back on video. But a great learning opportunity for self-reflection.
