Watching Seth's content got me into powerscaling when he started out. It even made me join the larger community, so all this news blew my mind to hear it all in one day. The community already had a bad reputation, I just hope we can learn from this and not repeat it.

The most important things to know is to be open minded, scaling is never set in stone and their are different intrepretations. They have pages describing Attack Potency, Speed, how to calculate these with math as well as power analysis. You can also read debates and see how they format them or even make your own change requests for character pages given evidence you provide.

I laughed so hard I was in pain several times at Omni’s reactions to some of the random posts/memes in that video. It’s been a RIDE I tell you.

Personally when watching RUclipsrs I think it’s really important to get like a sense of their character, i love anime and stupid fights and all that shit so of course I’ll stumble into a Seth debate and the way he talks and treats other people just gave me a bad vibe. You can really feel the ego when he’s in a video talking.

This was some drama from Seth some years back during the height of Anime and their communities but I couldn't remember much. Even during huge interest in Dragon Ball, he always gave off this "I'm right!" Elitist mentality which wasn't exactly uncommon in the community at the time.
About the toxicity thing, the power scaling community has kinda always been like this. People are constantly insulting each other and getting mad about their verse or favorite character losing to another verse or character. It's sort of a cesspool and I would be lying if I said that I wasn't apart of it at some point myself.
I stepped away from the power scaling community cuz it was getting too toxic for me in general with the drama but I peep in every now and then more so with Clyde I think. Knew Seth was toxic and cocky but I thought that was his character...now i understand that it's not just a char but him😐
Ngl, didn't think it was this deep. I've been a fan of swag, Clyde, and seth for years. I knew seth was saying the things he said and I was confident what were lies and what was truth only to find out the was the other way around. This reminds me of the SkyDoesMinecraft situation. He built himself such an empire in the RUclips space that was ultimately torn down by those closest to him outing him as a vile disgusting person consistently over the course of years, but it took so long because people were afraid to call him out due to his power. If Seth reacts the same way Adam reacted, there won't be a response. He may just end up quiet quitting and disabling comments.

It's kinda crazy to see how much this has blown up. I've watched powerscale videos for years as I discovered them through Swagkage, but I've never subbed to Seth. Despite watching dozens of videos of his (the collab ones) and videos he appeared in on other people's channels over the span of years, I never once subbed to the dude because I just felt weird about him. The Power Scaling community is a toxic cesspool and Seth isn't going to make an apology video. People in the community know that admitting you're wrong is like kryptonite to scalers. But, it wasn't always this way. The Power Scaling community has always been a little "Wild West" since the entire point is you're debating with strangers online so it was always bound to get heated. The difference is that back then people knew that it was all in good fun. Many years ago Power Scaling was just a community full of nerds doing fun What If? stories and determining which fictional characters are the most powerful. VS Debating used to be "I like character X and you like character Y. What would happen if they fought each other?". Then you debate who would win, shake hands when you're done, and go on your way. It was never supposed to be as serious as it's gotten. The best analogy I can make is with sports. At the end of the day everyone knows it's a game but there are some people who make their entire identity about their sports team. To the point defending their team is a life or death situation. The Power Scaling community has A LOT of people like that. Where if you debate them on their favorite characters they take it like you said something bad about them personally. It's been an open secret that the community has a bullying problem. Not as bad as the stuff Seth has been accused of but a certain culture has developed that excuses toxicity. It's a very "Mean Girls" type of bullying where a lot of gossip goes on behind the scenes that leads to heated confrontations. One of the big ones was the false r*pe accusations thrown around about Surfbone. It really hurts to see a community I've been a part of for so long have one of our biggest representatives be accused of p*dophilia, false r*pe accusations, gaslighting, and being a overal toxic person. This goes much deeper than Seth. I have personally experienced bullying/toxicity in the VS. community on a smaller scale. It's a community wide problem. Seth is just the worst of the worst (If the "P"-Word allegations are true).
It’s legitimately so crazy that this has the waves it does. The VS community always felt super small and tight knit outside of Death Battle. Hearing people like Omni, Keemstar, and Charlie talk about figures I used to watch years ago like Seth, Swag, and Clyde is wild. But this is 100% deserved I’ve definitely distanced myself from the community outside of Death Battle and other VS animation channels, but it’s disappointing to see creators I used to watch be horrible Except the crazy thing is that Seth never hid it, but tmk he was never brought under the scope due to his size that dwarfed most of those in the community

Sounds like another case of someone who had it really rough growing up, which is known to create really toxic personalities, look at Twitter, getting a lot of attention on the internet, blowing up, and carrying that toxicity into how they do their work. Just goes to show how common it is people like us who grew up being into anime and video games, who got teased and picked on because they weren't like the popular kids, can grow up and become not very well adjusted adults or just have all kinds of disorders and personality problems.

Ugh, I remember debating this guy back when Google+ existed. When on the anime side of RUclips, I never liked the power scale community. It boiled away the entirety of good stories and characters and tried to quantify moments. I always had a bad feeling about Seth, and didn't like their style of "analysis". I love the all those who actually reviewed anime. It makes me miss when nux taku did deep dives into anime. This was some drama from Seth some years back during the height of Anime and their communities but I couldn't remember much. Even during huge interest in Dragon Ball, he always gave off this "I'm right!" Elitist mentality which wasn't exactly uncommon in the community at the time.

This reminds me of the SkyDoesMinecraft situation. He built himself such an empire in the RUclips space that was ultimately torn down by those closest to him outing him as a vile disgusting person consistently over the course of years, but it took so long because people were afraid to call him out due to his power. If Seth reacts the same way Adam reacted, there won't be a response. He may just end up quiet quitting and disabling comments.

It's kinda crazy to see how much this has blown up. I've watched powerscale videos for years as I discovered them through Swagkage, but I've never subbed to Seth. Despite watching dozens of videos of his (the collab ones) and videos he appeared in on other people's channels over the span of years, I never once subbed to the dude because I just felt weird about him. This goes way deeper than I could have imagined though, and I feel so bad for everyone who was wronged by this bastard. Glad it could come to light.

The Power Scaling community is a toxic cesspool and Seth isn't going to make an apology video. People in the community know that admitting you're wrong is like kryptonite to scalers. But, it wasn't always this way. The Power Scaling community has always been a little "Wild West" since the entire point is you're debating with strangers online so it was always bound to get heated. The difference is that back then people knew that it was all in good fun. Many years ago Power Scaling was just a community full of nerds doing fun What If? stories and determining which fictional characters are the most powerful.
VS Debating used to be "I like character X and you like character Y. What would happen if they fought each other?". Then you debate who would win, shake hands when you're done, and go on your way. It was never supposed to be as serious as it's gotten. The best analogy I can make is with sports. At the end of the day everyone knows it's a game but there are some people who make their entire identity about their sports team. To the point defending their team is a life or death situation. The Power Scaling community has A LOT of people like that. Where if you debate them on their favorite characters they take it like you said something bad about them personally.
It's been an open secret that the community has a bullying problem. Not as bad as the stuff Seth has been accused of but a certain culture has developed that excuses toxicity. It's a very "Mean Girls" type of bullying where a lot of gossip goes on behind the scenes that leads to heated confrontations. One of the big ones was the false r*pe accusations thrown around about Surfbone. It really hurts to see a community I've been a part of for so long have one of our biggest representatives be accused of p*dophilia, false r*pe accusations, gaslighting, and being a overal toxic person. This goes much deeper than Seth. I have personally experienced bullying/toxicity in the VS. community on a smaller scale. It's a community wide problem. Seth is just the worst of the worst (If the "P"-Word allegations are true).
It’s legitimately so crazy that this has the waves it does. The VS community always felt super small and tight knit outside of Death Battle.
Hearing people like Omni, Keemstar, and Charlie talk about figures I used to watch years ago like Seth, Swag, and Clyde is wild. But this is 100% deserved

Sounds like another case of someone who had it really rough growing up, which is known to create really toxic personalities, look at Twitter, getting a lot of attention on the internet, blowing up, and carrying that toxicity into how they do their work. Just goes to show how common it is people like us who grew up being into anime and video games, who got teased and picked on because they weren't like the popular kids, can grow up and become not very well adjusted adults or just have all kinds of disorders and personality problems.

When on the anime side of RUclips, I never liked the power scale community. It boiled away the entirety of good stories and characters and tried to quantify moments. I always had a bad feeling about Seth, and didn't like their style of "analysis". I love the all those who actually reviewed anime. It makes me miss when nux taku did deep dives into anime.
