I have 6 of these cameras, mostly the Pan V3. 4 at my house and 2 more at my camp. I love them for the price. I also have the deadbolt smart lock. It's great just using my thumbprint to open the door. After showing people how great they are, my mom, my sister, 2 of my in-laws, and 2 of my neighbors have also purchased several of the cameras.
I didn't know you were based in Knoxville ... I have family over in Mascot. I'm a Wise OG, got original cams, doorbell, scale, etc. You really can't beat the price vs. quality.
I've been using wyze cameras for about 5 years now, I have 6 in total with very little issues, I also use their smart lights. Good thing I got a grandfathered inn so I don't have to pay for the monthly subscription fees I just need the 12 second play back because these are my secondary cameras to my main camera's outside, I have 11 cameras in total, maybe a little OCD!!!
The biggest problem I have is you can't reliably view the cameras on PC even with paid subscription. They drop off constantly saying connection problem even tho they're working perfectly fine on phone. I've confirmed this with multiple setups / locations/wifi routers.
I picked up 2 of the Pan V3s for indoor use a while back. Most things worked pretty well. The reason I pretty much stopped using them was that the location rules will never work. I don't want them to record when I'm home. If you have any tips for that, I'm all ears. I just got sick of turning them off every time I got home.
My wyze thermostat didn't work for slme reason. It just didn't like the voltage it was getting or something. I tried everything. Had to settle with a smart Honeywell thermostat.
@@scaryifliteral It's worth looking into. Users reported being able to view video playback of events from cameras that weren't theirs. I haven't seen any RUclips videos on it yet maybe you can be one of the first to cover the fiasco?

Interesting. I never looked into those settings.
My concern is their online security. Wyze had quite a few issues a couple years ago.
Been using them for years I've had no issues with security so far!

Any thoughts on the outage and security issues today?
I've not looked into it super deeply. I did notice my cameras were acting funny this morning, but everything seems fine now.

What TP mesh router do you use and does it have a square footage range rating?
