God saved me during a family worship! I was 16 and rebellious. We did ours on Fridays only because the denomination we were in had services every single night except for Friday. I hated them, they were DULL. But my dad was being faithful to God... But when my father read the word one night, God just confronted my sin like dumping a ton of bricks on top of me and I Ran to Him for mercy! ❤ so even if you have no idea what you're doing, keep at it. You never know how the Holy Spirit will work in your child's life.
I’m deeply humbled to actively listen to this conversation on the inspiring values and creativity of incorporating Family Worship practices into my life, by confessing and pivoting toward an opportunity to provide Spiritual feeding within our family to help all of our family members (4 daughters+ 4 Son-in-laws and 9 grandchildren) prepare for the current relentless battles for our Family’s souls. I am very thankful to Pastor Joel Webbon the founder of Right Response Ministries for sharing how Dr. Joel Beeke provided him guidance on Family Worshipping. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
With family worship (and other group worship), before we go to sleep it is not our wife with to have our last prayer to our God, we as the leader is the last one to have a one on one prayer with our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless!!!
I am so glad I found this channel. Thank you for this discussion. It is very informative and inspirational. I have The Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible. I have many other study Bibles and reading Bibles, but I have to say how much I like reading God's Word in this Reformation Heritage edition. The beauty of the KJV is made truly enjoyable because the notes give contemporary English equivalent. However, I absolutely enjoy and love the devotional section after every chapter. These sections do provoke thoughts of gratitude, awe, worship and prayer in connection to the individual chapter. It is a great way to do daily reading. Besides the study notes, which contain cross-references, the study aids are of great help as well. Additionally, interspersed throughout there are articles that are related to the matter or main theme of a particular book. This makes the Word of God so actionable and practical in our daily and rushed lives. In one session, this Bible format/edition delivers so much in one reading. I highly recommend it. Thank you for such a great resource!
This was truly amazing and so edifying. We already do daily family worship but I learned so much from this interview about things we can implement and change. Thank you so much.
I have the family worship guide and it’s great! I just need some help and resources for using a psalter. I have no idea where and how to start using one. Can you give me a basic starting place for someone with absolutely no experience using a psalter?
Here are a couple books that will help you get started! www.heritagebooks.org/products/sing-a-new-song-recovering-psalm-singing-for-the-twenty-first-century-beeke.html www.heritagebooks.org/products/why-should-we-sing-psalms-cultivating-biblical-godliness-series-beeke.html
I have a question. My wife, our newborn and I currently live in a place where we have, as yet, been unable to find a Biblical local congregation. Is it permissible for me to administer the Lord's Supper to my family (my wife and myself, not our son, until he chooses to be baptized of course) in our home in the frame of our Lord's Day family worship?
No, your family is not a church. Family worship is not a substitute for Lord's Day worship with the gathered church. Your duty is to get yourself and your family in a church and if you cannot join a church where you are then you need to get out and find one.
@lebenistchristus, Dr Joel Beeker wrote a book called "How should men lead their families" This is that book's description. "God's Word teaches us that Jesus Christ was ordained by God and anointed by the Spirit for His work as prophet, priest, and king of His children. Those who are in union with Him share His offices in a limited but important way. In this booklet, Joel Beeke explains how husbands and fathers should lead their families as prophets, priests, and kings. Filled with biblical wisdom and practical application, How Should Men Lead Their Families? is a helpful guide for men who desire to bear the image of the Father of glory and of the heavenly Husband as they lead, teach, love, evangelize, protect, and rule over their wives and children."

Oh that made me tear up too I pray that if my daughter says anything that she says my mom loves the Lord Jesus Christ
This is pure gold!

Can we have a words only version of the Psalter please?
Fantastic interview.
Thank you for the comment, John.
Unfortunately at this time, we just have the version that contains the music.
Which Psalter book is the $12 book that Dr Beeke is referring to? Thank you.
