My JT1's went from being delivered towards the end of May to supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Finally!
I sent mine back. Ears over heated in 10 mins then head band not strong enough to stop them sliding downwards. Sounded decent but utterly useless.
@mpstein1976 OH my that sucks! Mine just updated to out for delivery so I will find out soon!
@@mpstein1976 Its elastic so you could have probably trained it to not slide up or wore it in. As far as heat.. Everyone is different. I wear headphones for a living so I am less concerned.
Listened the video from my FT5 hehe, this thing is so good! And its not even just the natural HD650 like sound (but bigger stage and better bass), but the premium accessories too! Hey man this product is like a 1-2K $ premium headphone in every single aspect, premium boxing, case, cable, hot swappable connectors! Even have to correct myself 1-2K $ headphones just dont come with these accessories, dont have premium cables etc. Fiio really made a good deal here, u cant get better, more versatile headphone in this price bracket 100% sure!
It's been a few vids now and I'm really not digging the sound from the mic on the new camera. It sounds closed in and squashed. Like it has a way too thick pop filter in front of it. Love the vids still though.
I had to put it to mono because the right channel otherwise had a buzz. BUT I have a second camera at the speaker area without that issue. I might return/replace this one to get stereo again.
My biggest undercover item from CanJan NYC 2024 that I haven’t seen anyone talking about was at the Leiyin Audio table. They had a stowaway from Moondrop there who had a prototype planar (no name, no price) that sounded great to my ears.

Do they sound better than LCD-X ? I am looking forward to review of the K19 too, it will be interesting to see if its better than the RME ADI DAC which I use with my LCD-X
I have the fiio setup with fiio k19. The fiio k19 is so amazing it gives the fiio ft5 this power what they need. Its amazing. Jason darulo on hip hop presst or David guetta on dance preset. Its so amazing.
Got the white FT3 350ohm. It is well built and best to go tube with the Felix-Audio Echo 2
I get it when the people call the FIIO JT1 closed-back - physically, it's not, but there is such little sound coming through, so, for all practical purposes... yeah

random question, my friend bought me a dac and amp with tubes but it's for balanced headphones for Christmas. I didn't want them to return it as it's just an opportunity to try out balanced cans for the first time. any recommendations if i have a pair of dt1990s? i do enjoy the whole gaming aspect of the hobby, so having a very accurate and wide soundstage is nice.
What if I want fun headphones? Good bass, with low end pretty low, a little bit over neutral maybe. Not wide scene, but rather narrow one and neutral treble. Is there anything like that? I found Sivga 023, which are a little bit too bright and maybe slightly lacking in powerful bass section.
About the FT3 they made a 32 ohm version. That's why it has that as an option on Amazon
What about the EF500 man? I've been dying to find out more on the new Hifiman amps, EF499 included. Translating back and forth on chinese websites say that EF500 is very close to EF600 and EF499 is the best value.
Zeos I need your voice to tell me that it is a good buy. I am going to China next month.

What I was told and what I will say.. The EF499 and 500 are the rejected chips from EF600's. So the EF600 is the highest standard of quality in measurements.. But if you don't care about that. Save the bucks and grab a 500 or 499 which are the worst measuring of the chips.

That's the newest Flagship Burson Amp model called the Voyager.I'd be little nervous of it getting too hot and overheated under there
It's fanless. Well not like their fanned amps. Heat gets dissipated out the rear
I would be worried about the wood just going up despite the heat coming out the back.
I like the 32 ohm color if it is matte finish.

Of course that $1000 dollar cable makes absolutely no difference in sound quality to the JT1's. Said very sarcastically from someone who has definitely heard marked improvements with better cables. I'm relatively poor and have ponied up for nicer cables...and not because i'm a moron. Well....not in this regard anyway. I'm sure there are some expensive cables that do squat but i'm willing to bet if you did a back and forth comparison between the stock and the 1k cable, 95ish% of people in a blind test would choose that 1k cable. Unless their hearing is impaired
lower impedance cables can't really change things but unless the stock cable is specifically dogsh!t or the impedence SUPER low. Like under 10Ω
It won't be drastic enough to hear. Only those Super low impedance headphones and IEMs need those sorts of over-engineered cables and even then sounding "different" isn't really about better or worse. .
