Finally a video explaining reserve pay! And actually saying the monthly pay! I’m switching from active duty and the recruiter was being shady about pay and benefits.
SFC Beitz you're the best! Your videos have been very helpful and we're what made me decide to go Guard instead of Reserve. Nice video. nice if there salary increase more. There work are risky not easy. National guard or army are hero and protector of our country. Wish we have president that protect them and empower more.
Yes, the salary increases twice a year at minimum, as well as any time the soldier gets promoted. I agree, our military needs to be taken better care of by our government.
@@SFCBEITZ yes on the gallstones I also sent in medical papers from my doctor saying there low risk and no further follow up needed , and a letter for my braces coming off next month
I knew you marked “yes” to something because you would have been immediately cleared if you marked all “no”. Every MEPS is different depending upon how busy they are. I’d assume you’ll hear back next week if not today. Let me know when you do!
I was so excited to get in as an E-4 but my dreams shattered when I failed my hearing test. I can hear very well but when I got tested Meps said it’s not waivable. :(
Very informative . I do have a question; I’m wanting to join army national guard mainly because I’m a single mom and I want to spend as much time with my child as I can and I hear it contains the most family benefits and I’ve told my recruiter but they insist that I join active duty and I don’t think I’d be comfortable in that position but my question is what’s better for a family guard or duty?
That sounds like an honest ass recruiter! Usually hear they are just used car sales man and will tell you anything. I think you always get more anything for active duty but with guard I’m sure you’ll do fine, i’m sure there are tons of ladies like you that get well taken care of, I figure active duty will take time away if anything, I’m in the process of joining the guard to have a balanced life as a skater, I’m told it will work out many sources
If you are eligible for a kicker bonus do you get that added on to your monthly check for guard? I thought I saw a document stating $200 added to check r/t bonus?
@@SchoolLife-vw8bh I have never seen the r/t terminology, it's not something we use in Recruiting..but if you get the kicker, you will get an additional $200 a month, on top of your regular GI Bill. Watch this video I made awhile back about maximizing your pay in the National Guard: ruclips.net/video/WioYf5zlS9c/видео.html
If you’re Active Duty, you will receive full time Active Duty pay. If you’re Guard or Reserve, you will get paid part time pay, unless you are on Active Duty orders at Basic Training, Advanced Training, or any other orders longer than 30 days. I recently released a video about Active Duty Pay for 2025 if you want to check that out! Also, I have a video called, “Military Pay”, where I go over every different type of military pay available.
I almost had to repeat basic too because I got pneumonia and missed 3 days of training. I was pretty much carried out of the hospital and went directly to the range still feeling and looking awful. I talk about it in one of my videos. I believe it’s this video: Infantry School - Recalling Tough Times ruclips.net/video/03v69_h3vLE/видео.html
If I had to guess that means if you work full-time, that’s what you receive a month. Not sure but you could hit AI. I came here to see what the benefits after four year term would be.
If your name isn't in the lease then no...but if you can get the lease readjusted with your name in it, and your name on a utility bill and maybe like a phone bill, you should be good to go!
Are you able to collect SSI while receiving 100% VA disability??? I heard that they would use the greater of the two, which is not rocket science. LOL 😂 I just turned 63 years young this past August 8th, but didn't file because of that. Any info would be greatly appreciated, brother! 🙏❤️😀🚁 God bless you and the family! 🙏
Yes, you absolutely can! I applied for SSI and SSDI but I was making too much from the VA and Army (CRSC) to get SSI but I got approved for SSDI and I am 100% rated through the VA as well. Any type of Social Security will not prevent you from maintaining your VA pay. God bless!
@@SFCBEITZ My problem is that I am receiving a medical disability compensation from being a civil service employee (CSRS), which was the reason I had to retire earlier than I wanted to. That's much higher than I believe my SSDI would be, so do you think that matters, since it has nothing to do with the money I paid into SSI??? Thank you, brother! 🙏❤️😀🚁
Negative lol in the National Guard you will get paid once a month for working 2 days out of the month. Once every year you will work for 2 weeks straight, so you will be compensated for 2 weeks. On Active Duty you get paid on the 1st of each month and the 15th of each month. Hopefully, that clears is up for you. If not, let me know where you are confused and I will explain better. What you need to do is get added to your parents lease, then you might be able to. If your names not on the lease and a utility bill, the military won’t authorize you BAH. They pay starts off a little low, but the longer you are in, and the more you rank up, the better your pay gets. I was making over 100k a year before I retired.
