i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
yes 100% correct, the left hand holds a heavy steel bar that slides on the strings as opposed to the normal method of holding the stings down on the neck. These instruments are normally heard on country music, it took the genius of MR Gilmour to use one to rock the world :)
Did you know that the band name was chosen by co-founder Syd Barrett in '60s England. Syd did this as a homage to his favorite American black blues musicians, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.
I always feel like this track should carry a Health and Safety Warning.... Do not operate a motor vehicle while listening to this track as it can cause traffic speeding offences to be committed 😂
Steel guitar. Usually heard in country and western. David knows how to rock it. Badass reaction. This is what you get with Floyd , the masters that they are. Can you imagine being there with those intense sounds and visuals? Mind would be gelatin. Good gelatin.
You know the lyric to this song is what a pig hears from the farmer. It was Nick Mason actually speaking in a comic high pitched “One of these days.....I’m gonna cut you into little pieces.....”🔥explosions and 🔥 I was row 10 directly in front of Gilmour at Clemson SC May 12 1994 Friday. Those fire bombs kept going off and I got sorta worried. I could feel flames. It was incredible and when you see those fireworks at the end they blasted over our head it was amazing!
David Gilmour giving a block of instruction on what a steel guitar is supposed to sound like. He is the one true living guitar God in the history of music. Along with Guy Pratt enjoying his Gilmour God moment. He drove this song.
This tour played to 5.5 million people, in 68 cities, for a total of 112 shows. Watching a video is nothing compared to being there. The sound of the bass literally rocked the whole stadium. From where I was, I even felt the heat of the pyrotechnics explosions. A perfect piece to set the mood for the rest of the show, which will go down in history, for anyone lucky enough to see it live.
This closed down the first set and I remember being so excited to hear the opening wind whooshing and bass riffs. Then the lyric, then the pigs come out of these risen gigantic mailboxes, it absolutely blew my mind. One of the greatest things I've ever seen in person. Foxborough Stadium and Olympic Stadium in one weekend.
David can kill anything with strings. Great on that steel guitar. This is a must DVD to have in your collection. Turn the volume to MAX. Great job Bre. You're showing people who have never seen these performances a treat.
4:32 -- You're like _"WOW ... wh ... what? What ... the ... Hell is this?!! I've never heard something like this before! This is incredible! ... Oh, wow, guys ... just WOW!"_ 6:39 -- David Gilmour, looking right into your soul, a smirk on his face like *"Hehe ... EAT THIS!! YEAH!!"* Your video has an incredible STEREO. That was great!
It's called a "Lap Steel". It's a guitar designed to be played flat in your lap (Gilmour is using a stand though), with a steel bar (in Gilmour's left hand). Hence the name "Lap Steel". He's been playing this since the beginning of the 70s. It's an alternative to play slide on a normal guitar. Fun to play when you learn it. "One of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces", must be one of the best song lyrics ever.
I was at this concert and we were sat on the right-side about 2-blocks down from the stage, just far enough to happen to look up and see that huge pig come flying out of the wall looking as though it was going to land right on me. Scared the daylights out of me but still loved every second of the concert.
Great, great, great reaction Bre! Nobody does this one and they should. Keep working your way through PULSE, for not only all of your subscribers and watchers but for yourself. The best concert video of all time imo. If you like what you've seen so far, treat yourself. Every song is amazing! Cheers and stay safe!
The best track off my first rock album in the seventies. Aha ...the world is yours..you can do anything...absorb that power...run dance.... jump...you are almighty. Ha ha ha. Xx
Very cool, Bre! Thank you for the heartfelt response. Pink Floyd is not for everyone, though they have a spot in my heart. The over-the-top and extended stadium rock stuff is classic Floyd & Queen & that rock era. I appreciate that you aren't BS-ing some expertise about every type of music. I'd love to find out what your faves are and why. Looking forward to your other videos!
GREAT deep cut from Floyd!!!!! I see you've done a few reactions from them,,,,,,you'll find that Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin are in a league all of their own. I'm REALLY glad you like them. 👍👍👍😎
You dont need fancy clothes or gimmicks on stage when everyone in the band is a master of their instruments and knows what the hell they are doing. This was over twenty five years ago! That light show was second to none back then. The only disappointed folks attending that show are those who got too drunk to remember what they witnessed the next day. Legendary performance!
I think even those who get drunk have remembered everything. A while ago David Gilmour tweeted an article that said "David Gilmour, known for his extravagant outfits at concerts". Gilmour made a photo collage where he wears: black, gray, light gray, dark gray t-shirt. And just one comment: they must have mistaken me for someone else. "😂
I was there saw them three times it is something that to this day that believe God was speaking through that sound system. They say music is the soundtrack of your life I say The Floyd is the owners manual for the mind and soul. Rock on girlfriend
Can you believe "Days" is around 50 years old now? The part in the middle of the song is Drummer Nick Mason's voice saying "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces." Too long for radio play so they trimmed it down to "One of these days."
Pink Floyd: OK, lighting team, we're doing a live show. You have an unlimited budget, so make it impressive, ok? Lighting Team: Yes. Can we have six months to set up? Pink Floyd: You've got a week. Can you do it? Lighting Team: Yup. Whatever they pay these guys isn't enough. Pink Floyd could play in the darkness and impress the hell out of everyone. But the lighting and spectacle of their shows is astonishing.
This is a fantastic song, great performance from Pink Floyd. Bre, if you want to try another instrumental, try Sentinel by Mike Oldfield but make sure it is the Live at Edinburgh Castle version.
Now if you listen to the same song from the "Delicate Sound of Thunder", you will see the pig floating over the crowd. Also, you can listen to "On the Run" from the Pulse concert. There is a surprise ending.
Love your reactions Bre. If you like watching band members interact with each other, may I suggest the The Midnight Rambler, the official live version by the Rolling Stones.
If you haven't already, you might want to to check out Pink Floyd - Echoes - Live at Pompeii (pom pay) 1972 Where the guys play in an empty Roman Amphitheatre with No Audience!
watch David Gimour " live at Pompeii' another version " one of these days" . you will see another instrument the first minutes that I guarantee 99.9 % have never seen. the only song that was played by the Floyd 43 yrs ago in the amphitheater and the first time since 79 AD that an audience was allowed to watch an event inside
Your reaction to the one line of lyrics was absolutely priceless. Bands that sound better live are few and far between and Pink Floyd is perhaps the Masterclass on raising the bar - LIVE... You want a great song that very few have reacted to by PF? Give a listen to "Yet Another Movie"...
Check out the 2012 version with the cello player,Michael Kamen on piano and the bass player playing a stand up bass. The background singers are incredible. But be careful the song will take over your soul.
The similar bassline to that from this song has Depeche Mode's song "Clean" (1990; my mom loves this song, by the way!) And, David Gilmoure is playing here a slide guitar (that's the instrument you've been asking for)
Can we just have science clone all 4 members so in 20 yrs the clones can all tour the entire catalog for the next 40 plus years. I think it'd be worth it.
Try Echoes, studio version. Also try Ayreon - the day that the world brakes down. After that, songs from one of the two live concerts: Ayreon Universe live The electric castle live and other tales Floor Jansen and Marko Hietale are in the first one Simone Simons and Mark Janssen from Epica are in the second.
In the "old days" of GOOD MUSIC.. True artists took the time go make GREAT MUSIC. Not the rushed, soueless garbage we get today.. Music used to be magic. Today, it's just a soggy cheeseburger, that will be forgotten after your next shit.
Two reccomendations for you: Pink Floyd, "Dogs" and "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I - V) (studio version only, not the Live version at first and not the "official vidio" too distracting that one is. These are both long songs but will take you on a Pink Floyd journey that will not soon be forgotten.
Hi there ! Great reaction video... I enjoyed what you did, especially with a song that is rarely reacted to. May I suggest a French artist to you ? Have you ever heard the name Mylene Farmer ? She is the most successful and biggest female French artist of all time. And everyone that reacted to her for the first time, was fascinated. And I'm sure, so will you. Love that jam!! He's playing a steel slide guitar.
FINALLY someone reacts to this iconic masterpiece! Great great wonderful!
One of the most unhinged songs I've ever heard but I listen to it regularly and have for decades. Extremely different to the good.
i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?

@Marcellus Kellen Instablaster =)
David Gilmour was playing his red Jedson lap steel guitar. He plays the same instrument for the latter part of High Hopes.
Also featured prominently on side one of Dark Side of the Moon. That soft twang.
@@flubblert On "Great Gig..." and "Breathe" Davis used his Fender 1000 twin neck pedal steel.

Love Floyd,I was at one of those Earl's Court nights. Great times, great weed and acid........mmmm 🏴

🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍😎
Be careful even if you have a pacemaker, he may be tempted to go with the rhythm. 😎
Pink Floyd is an amazing, special band. Nobody like them before, nobody like them since.
"One of these Days I'm going to cut you into little pieces." There were vocals.
This had a companion piece called Careful With That Axe Eugene
Nick Mason’s only vocal, I believe.
Greatest rock band of all time
