    Another brilliant and inspiring Star Trek Star fleet shuttlecraft design and build, Bill.
    The Javelin ( is the logo based on the AMC Javelin logotype? ), is, hands down, my all time favorite Star Trek based shuttlecraft design!
    Maybe Matt Jefferies, in the day, could have gotten to build this design, instead, as it has less of a curvature at the bow of the craft.
    I love your shuttlecraft design so much, I wiish someone would be a full size version of this with a complete “working” interior.
    This is a beautiful shuttle design inside and out, Bill!
    A real piece of beautiful, yet functional ( fictional ) industrial design !
    You need to make available and sell larger paper plans ( blueprints ) of all of your finisshed model designs, Bill.
    I do not know if I will/can ever afford to have a model built be you, but I can, definitely, afford to purchase a set of decent sized, quality paper set of your original starship design model plans, for sure!

    "Absolutely no point in entering the Wonderfest 2024 model comp now....."!!!!!! Lol
    Hi Bill - I'd heard your name a few times on other scifi channels but this is the first video of yours I've seen - you truly are a master of the craft! Your also no slouch when it comes to 3D modelling which begs the question why the styrene parts to the build?!!
    Anyway, excellent work but only one suggestion - how about using swimsuit models for your standees - would help the audience concentrate on the scale comparison- honest!!!!

    • @TychoYard
      @TychoYard  Год назад +1

      You do not compete against each other at WonderFest and I will not be entering any future contests. Javelin was built in 2018 and does include some 3D modeled and printed parts - impulse grille and nacelle end caps. This was a design I created by hand and I wanted to craft by hand. The shape is complicated and even today would beyond my skillset as a 3D modeler.

    A beautiful TOS-era shuttle! Admiral, how do you get the sheet styrene to conform to curves like that?

    • @TychoYard
      @TychoYard  2 месяца назад +1

      @@fhsreelfilms thanks. The styrene is fairly thin so it bends to the shape of the bulkheads and applied in large panels. Paper templates are made first to find the rough shape. The styrene can also be “pre-curled” by rolling it over the edge of the workbench top.
