Love it! This model belongs in Trek! Maybe somewhere in the Enterprise B Era!
🖖😎👍Very wonderfully truly totally cool looking and very nicely greatly well done and executed in every detail way shape and format provided by you, A very fabulously spectacular beautiful looking Starship indeed Sir!.
🖖😎👍Very totally wonderfully cool and a very nicely greatly fabulously beautiful looking Starship design indeed Sir!.
Very nicely done. Pre-motion picture era ship with post motion picture era enhancements. I can see this as a cannon ship.
I'm a sucker for 4 nacelles, you've made a beautiful ship! Any chance that Fanhome will be mass producing this beauty for you now that they seem to have taken over from Eaglemoss? They already made your Titan!
Unknown. I did give them the relevant reference materials so it's possible it may happen in the future.
@@TychoYard _Interesting_ to know. Eaglemoss did some _deep cuts_ so I'll be pleasantly surprised if Fanhome do the same. Fingers crossed. Regardless - all your designs are wonderful, very sculptural and you have a great eye for doing these mash-ups of each generations' styles. I'm particularly impressed how you get such clean geometry out of Sketchup too. Bezier curves are a nightmare for me in it!
Looooove the scaled pics, in the windows, which brought life to the ship! Great minds think alike!
Amazing!!!
This is the most beautiful model I've ever seen!
My friends? We've come home.
Amazing. I'd like to see your take on the Oberth class one day.
I love a twin dorsal design. Would love to see your ships make it into the game Star Trek Online. Do you have a workshop where you keep your projects displayed or do you display them in your home?
Both the Titan/Enterprise G and Duderstadt-class ships I designed for Picard are now available in STO. All of my models are custom commissioned and now reside at their respective owner’s homes.
If only they had tapped you to design the JJprise. I feel that you would have done a MUCH better job portraying the big E than Scott Chambliss.
My ADHD cannot resist, so please forgive me while I slip on my taped glasses and pocket protector. I remember reading that one of the points Roddenberry had made about the (original) Enterprise intentionally having such thin and frail looking pylons in comparison with the size of the ship was that they were intended to portray the fact that the nacelles were not propulsive units. Something lost on pretty much everyone. He had also specified that the function and purpose of the nacelles was to create a pair of fields that, where they intersected, created the warp bubble around the ship allowing it to travel faster than light. Also that only the one pair was necessary to create the warp bubble, multiple pairs creating multiple bubbles did not create additional functionality. He had said that the intersection of the fields was lethal, so they had to be set away from the ship to prevent them causing harm to the crew, which is why Roddenberry would likely not have approved of the Defiant's design had he been alive when it was proposed for DS9.
I’m not sure you watched this video but this was designed for Star Trek Picard to be included as another ancestor of the Stargazer, originally seen in TNG’s first season in which Roddenberry himself was involved.
Amazing
Absolutely fantastic! Goosebumps!
Hot fire 🔥
🖖😎👍Very cool and a very wonderfully spectacular job well done indeed Sir!👌.
She is amazing, ready to explore strange new worlds'
This is awesome!
You are the platinum tier when it comes to starship models
Beautiful 👍🏻🖖🏻
I will be watching immediately when you release your Intrepid build video.
A true ARTISAN’s work of art!
That is some absolutely epic miniature lighting.
Is this kind of talent born or is it made? Because…. Good God Almighty hermano…. you are something else altogether. *HEY EVERYONE! LOOK AT THE LITTLE RUNLIGHTS IN THE SHUTTLE BAY!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! AHHHHH!! Ahhh God, that made my day. Thank you.
Oh My Good God Its Beautiful…. In The Way A RedHead Is Beautiful! She’ll Take Your Breathe Away, Make You Wonder In Delight But, Ultimately, You Know She’s Hella Dangerous!
Well that’s a subbed from me…. we’ve obviously got some kind of genus sob running the show around here. Fantastic work! P.S. Homeboy printed the window inlays on 35mm film…. lolololol…. whhhhaaaat?! Who are you? What planet do you hail from!? May we come and visit?!
Reminds me to a degree of the Gabriel C. Koerner Enterprise
Call me nuts, but I think that's sexy.
It's great work, but for me, perhaps because I'm old school, I'd prefer your TOS version to maintain with the TOS saucer attached. In my minds eye that would put it spot on.
@@OrionLaerithryn in my minds eye, not every component of other TOS ship designs have to be an exact copy of parts from the Constitution.
@@TychoYard - Oh, I know, and I'm not against the design, which is impecable, I was only stating my personal preference. Again, great work!
Couldn't help but admire your effort to have a more solid interior in hull windows-- with your 35mm trick. How 'bout generating that interior artwork in layers. Say, pick two planes within the scene and lay that art on blank or clear backgrounds. Then there will be more parallax when viewed. Short of building the interior I think that might be reasonably close and not all that much additional work.
@@MrChief101 thanks. I had thought of that but keep in mind that these are backlit transparencies. Any foreground elements would need to be opaque and front lit or they would be silhouetted against the back plate. This would add more work and a glare to the film.
@@TychoYard Yeah, I thought slide film would be dense enough. But the glare and bounce lighting would be a thing-- ah, well! It looks pretty good from here as is.
This is my notebook so I would still like to purchase your book and posters.
@@gilbertirish8635 I’ve already given you my email contact information. I cannot do this on a public forum.
So sweet. These ships are the freshest, most elegant thing happening in starship design. That's just a fact. I hope it won't be too long before you can find a way to produce consumer model kits. I really want to have a couple of these in my home. This one in particular! V
That is an absolutely beautiful design.
A work of art. Like everything you've put together!
A beautiful TOS-era shuttle! Admiral, how do you get the sheet styrene to conform to curves like that?
@@fhsreelfilms thanks. The styrene is fairly thin so it bends to the shape of the bulkheads and applied in large panels. Paper templates are made first to find the rough shape. The styrene can also be “pre-curled” by rolling it over the edge of the workbench top.
Outstanding work, Admiral. This is a beautiful design and you built it up so wonderfully.
Excellent and amazing work, I thought I wasn’t going to like it until I saw the details. This truly is a work of love and attention to detail. Nicely done.
Absolutely beautiful work! This is an inspiration.
The Shackleton from the Endurance... nice reference.
Great! Good job 👍
For me, it's the most beautiful ship in the Star Trek universe. It really deserves its own show or at least to be featured in one.
Love the detail with the windows. really makes it pop.
This man just know his Star Trek.. beautiful.
That is amazingly well done...
Oh, also, Another thing, you should totally go look at the John Eves concept design for the Connie! It was my favorite design before I saw yours. I think you could probably use some inspiration!
I flipping ADORE this design. I’m a beginner designer myself, I really only do sketches. And your designs have really inspired me, and, given me multiple cool ideas! This is my favorite ship of yours!
Absolutely beautiful
I usually don't like "dreadnought" style modifications to ships, but this one actually works really well. It all still flows right and fits the feel of the ship , while being bulkier and meaner looking than the original. Great work.
Seriously impressive creativity and skill. Every ship you've designed just feels like it belongs in Trek. It really makes me want to pick up a 3D printer and start trying some myself. I've done some more old school kitbashing, but nothing this extensive. I would love to see you do some First Contact era ships like the Akira and Saber.
