They really struck gold with hiring Rachel.
She’s the secret sauce, that’s for sure
It reinforced to me something that the Tri-guys talked about, when discussing why they were continuing and evolving: they appreciate and care about their staff. Zach mentioned on the Pod at Rainie's house, about how he doesn't have kids, but he's grown to understand that he does have family he's responsible for, and how his actions impact so much more than himself (and then he referenced the treadmill incident).
Yeeees
I still remember seeing a short about the fire skulls episode of phoning it in that had a little extra dialogue not present in the video. Johnny said that "if something was wrong, Keith would be screaming", so Rachel prompted him to scream for no reason to mess with them.
I’m constantly awed by how much she contributes and creates. She’s really an inspiration for me.
This just cements to me that Rachel is amazing. Think it’s cute the guys call her over to taste test their dishes
"Mom, can you taste this?" So cute 🥹
She's the best and a true badass!!! You should listen to You Can Sit With Us if you haven't already
And that they say mom, mom.
I couldn't agree more. Something about Rachel just delights me whenever she's on screen🥰
5 to 6 weeks per episode?! Wow…. Thats so impressive😊
I would love a “Rachel Reacts” segment on the main channel for every popular video, it was so interesting to learn what she does to prep for a shoot, and it was hilarious listening to her comments about the guys. I️ was sold when she said she makes all of the recipes beforehand. Rachel goes above and beyond, and we love her for it!
YES PLEASE. More rachel would be the best
More Rachel! Always more Rachel! We love and want more Rachel ❤
Every popular video from BEFORE second try would be cool too!
@@alyssaferry600 That would just be a random react then, because she wasn't there for the Buzzfeeed era. I like her insider information on how these episodes were made, which she can do because she produced them.
YES YES YES. Every time I listen to Rachel I love her more and more!!!
Wow... finding out that Zach has a complicated relationship with food, but never once made it apparent that he's not having fun with food challenges... stand up guy in my book.
Also: the producers and editors are GOATs.
I think a lot of people know he has allergies and intolerance and stuff but we never frame it in that way before
i don't think it's that he's not having fun with food challenges at all. i think it's harder for him to think about food from a fun/creative perspective cause food has always been a source of difficulty/pain. i think rachel means it's harder to get him to think of a creative dish and he needs to be supported/pushed a little more in that area. once he's in it though i'm sure he's at least mildly amused. food probably just isn't a source of creative inspiration the way it clearly is for keith.
We all know. Dairy allergy, bunch of other allergies, and since his medication stopped working to prevent the pain he suffers from Anklyosing Spondylitis he's been eating an auto immune friendly diet to reduce inflammation and pain.
@@Sentientmatter8 yeah and some of the meds can take you apetite and/of give you nausea so it can be difficult to even be close to food somedays i imagine
It really explains some of the sudden flavour decisions that don't go together.
Love hearing Rachel is a fan of Claire Saffitz! Hoping Claire becomes a judge on WAR 🤞🏽
I WOULD CRYYYY
it could happen! on you can sit with us rachel's talked about being in active communication w claire's agent and even paying for her to fly out to the west coast. this was a while ago tho so i think it's just a matter of scheduling on both sides maybe? either way i believe rachel will make her magic happen someday!! 😤🙏
Would love it if Sohla also participates
sameeee
I would sign a petition for that :D
11:38 I love that they canonically call Rachel mom we need to see more Rachel she’s a icon
It’s the cutest thing ever
It all makes sense now. I always wondered how the chefs could make such relative comments to the episode sometimes... They're filmed 6 weeks after! And now we know Rachel is the secret judge... I call shenanigans!! lol
I just thought that they went straight through the recipe, making maybe 30 of those bits and just used the funny ones.
Rachel is always pulling the strings and I love that for her
I knew that they film the bakers AFTER they shoot the guys because some questions are really specific, but to know that Rachel herself makes the recipes AND has to many times straight up remember things is incredible. And mixing the short recipes with long ones, helping the guys get creative, it is all so much work that I could not even imagine. Rachel really is the MVP of Try Guys and I hope she knows that we absolutely adore and respect her.
- from some who has been here since the beginning
They definitely didn’t for the sandwich episode
I'd also love an editor reacts after the Beetlejuice Broadyway series. Just because Rachel was also backstage with the rest of the show's crew, I'd love to hear her insight on managing a whole broadway production vs he band of toddler-esc guys (i'm kidding, everyone at the try guys seems lovely)
This is such a great fucking idea. I couldn't think of which video to suggest a react for but THIS IS THE WAY.
Seconding this! Former theatre kid turned professional dresser and I'd love to hear how that shoot was set up and from Keith in particular on his Broadway moment
I WOULD DIE FOR THIS
Same!
I love that Rachel starts out strong with, "Did we make this just to bring Jonny Cakes back? Maybe. ;) " And she just keeps getting stronger from there! This was such a neat look into both how and why the sausage was made. I'd love to see some Editors Views on episodes! And also maybe a BTS on the Mushrooms at Mario World? Oh, and of course, the flying episode, as Rachel got to be both passenger and pilot!
YB has editing bts from W.A.R. & Phoning It In her channel.
Right? I've wondered, but I'm like, "We're seeing him a lot in regular vids now too, but I'm loving him on the vids in general! Noooot complaining!" Ngl all the peeps they've been switching out with overall lately have been fire, good variance. Charismaaaa
Rachel is THE ultimate Try Person! #1!!! Try Gus would crumble without Rachel’s leadership! ❤ All the Try Team is amazing now!
Can I just say that I am loving these producers react videos? The last one actually managed to get me out of a severe panic attack, because their voices are so soothing.
I would absolutely listen to Rachel narrate audiobooks
Aw hearing Rachel explain that Zach is so terrible around cooking because food causes him stress and hardship hit me in the face so hard.. I feel I should have thought of that, it makes so much sense. He is such a good sport (as always) for still doing his all to make it funny and joyful despite the genuine challenge and struggle.
Devlin really is a key member of 2nd try.
Without a recipe with Rachel and Keith.
Candid composition with Rachel and Zach.
Two of the best shows on the try guys channel.
and devlin created the editing format for phoning it in!
Rachel is literally a goddess producer. I'm so happy that they found her and immediately trusted her. These director cuts are everything.
We need a ‘Rachel being the Try Mom’ compilation part 2 with behind the scenes footage of Rachel being awesome and coaching the guys! ❤
Listening to how she handles each guys creative food journey differently really makes me realise how much those boys are her boys.
Man, shout out to Devlin. The editing has always been incredible and the fact that he’s able to coach other editors into how to copy the magic is incredibly impressing. And of course, shout out to all of the new editors of the series as well!!!
Rachel is a super woman! She does so much on top of being a mom of twins. Bless her heart
And she’s a cancer survivor! She’s amazing
Dude, Rachel is clever and hardworking as hell, and in terms of emotional & social intelligence she's an utter genius. You can tell she really knows the Guys and genuinely cares about everyone on the team
Without a recipe is so fabulous I rewatch every episode every month or so
the rewatch value is insane
i’d love WAR more if he who must not be named wasn’t in all the ones i loved to watch
Knowing the guys say "Mom come taste this" is so heart warming. I love seeing these videos and I'd love to see thoughts on Keith's Eat the Menu's
I’d love to see more WAR redos still no recipes but they try and make it better because hopefully they have learned something from all this experiences
Or their partners try to make it better. I just want more Matt.
Why does Eugene always use so many fucking eggs?
@@kyndramb7050 Asian of chaos
@@kyndramb7050to get the cake the size of a barge?
Rachel is incredible. She's like the Fifth Beatle/Try Guy. Also, the casual mention of Rhett & Link letting them borrow their kitchen for the first WAR episode? They really are the fairy godfathers of RUclips.
I love the friendship between TTG and GMM
I would totally enjoy a Second Try episode where Rachel claps back on fan comments. 😆
Love this series so much and WAR but maybe not another live finale though? To me, the hype surrounding it is vastly outweighed by the amount of fans who can't afford it and miss out entirely 💔
they mentioned somewhere once that if they do ticketed live events then they're able to afford more creative projects so live events will likely be here to stay until they recover financially from The Event
Also the timezones is horrible for us non-Americans lol I love the guys but I am not waking up at 2am for them
I don't want to detract from the talent and hard work of the team, the guys, etc. but honestly the edited shows are more enjoyable anyway. I'm fine with paying to watch a premier or something and then have them release it for free/ad supported a month later or w/e but live just isn't as good.
@@ChristianMasseyAU I wish they had been able to post the WAR finale like you said. I know it would have been edited down, I just wanted to see it. I couldn't afford it at the time and I also cannot afford the upcoming Romeo & Juliet live, plus it's not starting at a time I can watch it and without seeing it live I can't participate in the polls or chat so I don't see the point in watching it later (even if I could afford it).
@@imjuliewaters'm seconding an edited down version of the WAR finale as well as Romeo and Juliet! or at least have those edits uploaded to Second Try like compilations haha
The fact that they call Rachel “Mom” is so sweet! 😍
We hate seeing Keith disappointed too. It truly breaks me. 😢
I love love love Nick and Rachel. Please more of both of them. Honestly they should both be judges on the next WAR, and this would be less stressful for Rachel to find a specified chef. We don’t need fancy guests when the staff is 💯
rachel really is the set mom and we love her for that
Yet another episode cementing how truly awe inspiring of a person Rachel is. What an incredible person.
Rachel is super human! She’s a baller mom and amazing at her job. I wanna be her when I grow up!
I think we all wanna be Rachel, she's amazing 😍 and has done so much cool stuff
And incredibly resilient! Her story on can you sit with us had me sobbing then wanting to kick ass. She’s just one of the best people
I've always wanted to know a little bit more about the behind the scenes/producer role for without a recipe. Very cool.
There’s a YCSWU episode where Rachel dives in even deeper if ever you’re interested! It’s pretty recent too!!
Obviously, props to Rachel for being the best producer!! But also, I love how Mythical manages to make a cameo on every wholesome channel out there. Second Try, Smosh and Mythical should really make a series together, the crews at each company are absolutely amazing!
I would love to know more about how the Drunk vs High and other videos like that are produced. I would imagine it is more difficult to keep the guys in line and on schedule.
10:49 Keith is such a little sweetheart I love and adore him so much he’s such an Angel Becky is so lucky to have him
I absolutely love Rachel’s work ethic. She truly understands them individually and uses that to produce such great entertainment. Such a kind, nurturing, and empathetic person - she may be good at producing but honestly watching this video it seems like she’s fantastic and highly skilled with people. I admire her and honestly she’s like a mentor from afar for me.
Rachel’s really like Zach’s mom like she roasts the hell out of his interesting artwork but it’s all out of love and she’s still proud of him no matter what 😭💚
She also talks more about WAR in a full You Can Sit With Us podcast episode!!
Rachel trying the recipe herself ahead so she has grasp on the flow and editing, the dedication 👌
The more I watch and learn about Rachel, the more I'm blown away by how talented, skilled, and hard-working she is. I really admire and look up to her!
my favorite part is always the juxtaposition between the chefs and the guy's chaos, good job rachel!
keep these coming!
I want an editor reacts after every episode of this season of WAR. I just love all the bts insight and commentary
I quite literally never comment on videos BUT I am begging you continue this series!! It's so interesting hearing about the logistics of planning these big series and you guys bounce off of each other so well
"They have what they need, they just dont have the skill" lmfaoooo
as an upcoming senior in high school taking visual communication and design and planning to go into video editing or production it's so inspiring and exciting seeing an absolute genius girlboss producer at a huge company who actually loves what she does
This is just impressive to see how Rachel handle it. I knew she worked hard but just hearing it makes you realize how lucky the try guys have her. Not to mention on how it's impressive how she got edited out he who shall not be named. I love without a recipe it's hilarious especially when Keith lose
I love this series so much! Rachel and Devlin and the rest of the team are incredible at what they do. Every WAR episode is a masterpiece and this really shows how it takes a ton of work to make something look that natural.
I've been seeing the more behind-the-scene content on Second Try recently. You guys are probably trying things out. Here's my feedback: I LOVE IT!!! I've always craved to see more Rachel on top of You Can Sit With Me, and Nick doesn't get to be on camera a whole lot. I think there is a specific niche this type of content serves that is different from a more candid conversation in your podcasts. Thanks for keeping Second Try active!!!
Yes, we all love Rachel, but this series is showing me how much of a gem Nick is. More videos with Nick talking behind the scenes, please!
I had no idea how much work went into this. This makes me respect and appreciate these episodes a lot more. Thanks for sharing.
Rachel is such an amazing role model for all of us out here watching along! I hope she truly feels as loved and as special as we all perceive her to be!
Rachel could come on here and read us the phone book (is that reference to dated at this point?) and I’d listen because she’s just an absolute delight. And, a great paring with Nick’s personality. These episodes are awesome.
I absolutely adore Rachel and Nick
This is honestly my favorite thing that any of the Try channels is producing right now. Nick and Rachel have such good energy, and the behind-the-scenes info is fascinating!
This is so fascinating but also the level of work and coordination that this takes - Rachel is amazing. The fact that she makes each bake as well!
“They have what they need, they just don’t have the skills” -Rachel 😂😂😂😂
So wholesome that they are so considerate of Keith and his potential disappointment ❤
REALLY love these behind-the-scenes commentaries from the producers. Hope they keep doing more of them!
the fact that they shoot multiple meals on the same day & multiple judgings, and Rachel coordinates with everything & schedules all of this is just incredible to me
LOVE that second try is branching out w content formats!! (also yes get that bag maddy!) really thankful for nick and rachel's time 🥺🙏 if they're okay w it, it'd be amazing to have a producers react to Phoning It In w Fire Skull Cakes! super interested to hear the thought process when the realization that contestants were making the same thing sunk in + the process of getting a high profile judge like Duff in for an episode. (or what developing a relationship w a michelin star patisserie like monique's been like w her schedule behind the scenes! i think her first ep was pop tarts maybe?)
This is the answer to your question of what to post more on this channel. Hearing these two break down what actually goes into making these shows what they are is incredible. You can tell by the end product that it is a lot of work, but this is more than I imagined. Thank you for everything all of you do to get these videos out, and thank you for posting this.
Y'all need to do this after every episode. I love this! It really shows how good Rachel is. Without a recipe is by far my favorite series and to see the BTS is just as amazing
Omg, I would love a eat the menu one. I NEED to know the behind the scenes of that. I mean, asking a restaurant make their entire menu isn't easy
Knowing that Rachel is behind the camera being so supportive and managing their feelings is the sweetest thing, like it must be so stressful for them to actually do this show, and having Rachel there must be such a godsend
I don’t care what episode they do next. I just enjoy listening to Rachel and Nick together. Heck, give them a podcast together to just discuss life and I’d listen.
Rachel is my inspiration. The amount of love she puts into everything she does is so clear and really comes through in the final products
I love how thorough Rachel is. She’s serious about her craft and making sure the content is superb.
Damn I didn't even realize that Keith gave up his other foot cake so that Zach's cake doesn't fall over. Keith is so nice. Love him
Oooh, I would love to see Sohla on WAR !
You guys- she’s the reason the channel endures. The talent is the reason we click, but the content/format is the reason we watch. All hail Queen Rachel👏🏼
I love this duo so much omg
I always knew producing was a lot of work, but I never really thought of the details and decision making put into it. This was really insightful and I want more of Rachel's bts to make things happen.
We need more behind the scenes! It is mad impressive all they do without seeing how it’s done. After seeing Rachel’s thought process and everything included creatively, it’s borderline impossible how easy she makes it looks! Keep up all the great work!
We love mom Reachel She has the most calm and soothing energy 💗🥹🫶🏻✨ and honestly pure respect for all the work she has done to make this series 🙌🏻😍
I gotta be honest, I love the guys but Rachel is my favourite "Try Guy". Every time she makes an appearance in a video it's great. And to hear the amount of works she puts in these videos, I truly wish her nothing but the best in life. 💛
I want to know 4 versus 1… it is so fascinating to me.. finding the expert and learning the skills
Rachel really is the mama bear of the try guys 😍 she’s always looking out for the guys and making sure they can create the best content possible ❤️
Nick is absolutely such a great listener! It's really nice to see him be so supportive in his own quiet way :)
Loving these “Producer Reacts” moments! Looking forward to seeing more!
can we maybe have a With a Recipe series on this channel? Try Team would recreate a winning dish
Isn't that kinda what Phoning It In is? XD
This answered SO MANY questions I’ve always wondered about how they logistically do these episodes. So cool! What a rockstar team 👏
More of these please!!! Editors would also be fun, Devlin and YB perhaps? but definitely more Nick and Rachel
I am living for these bts production videos!!! I am amazed by Rachel’s skills and talent and consistent hard work. She truly is amazing and I’m glad the guys stole her away!! I am learning soooo much from her about production also and I love that even more! 💛
What you guys do is literally amazing! I think right now is a really good time to buckle down into producing this series or another series as there is striking in Hollywood rn. Secret Chef was a really cool series I recently watched maybe you guys could do something like that and have a surprise guest chef along for the fun. Get that bread Try Guys LLC!
I looooove the producers react series!! Hope we'll see a lot more of this!
this is so so so cool to hear how much work goes into this awesome show!! makes me appreciate it even more!
I could never work in showbiz. I suspect that Rachel’s comments about how much she needs to work with the guys’ emotions and egos is tongue in cheek, as well as them calling her “mom,” but I’d never be able to bring that degree of caregiver energy for my superiors who are grown-ass men. No hate, just wow. She is doing the most & I hope Try values her!
I would love to hear even more from the producers!! They’re fantastic story tellers and their passion really shows!!!
I love love love these. The behind the scenes and closeness and learning about all of their characters/personalities is so nice.
loving this producers react series!! hopefully there’s more to come in the future 🫶🏼
I knew the clock was fudged!! Not that they don’t have enough time! but that depending on the episode and the progress the guys make, the amount of time might change accordingly throughout!
I would love to see a reaction specifically on the "Eugene babysits Rachel's twins" episode. The fact that she had to edit a whole episode about her own babies has to be really facinating.
I absolutely love these behind the scenes videos cuz I think the amount of work you guys put in definitely goes unnoticed and people need to appreciate it more!
Nick and especially Rachel are so awesome! Love getting these behind the scenes perspectives!!
Another episode with mum and dad
I am loving these videos. Also, anyone else tear-up when Rachel mentioned that Keith sacrificed a foot for Zach? I just love these guys so much. The whole second try fam❤😊
The asides with the chefs of "oh we never do this" and it cuts to the guys doing *this* is my favourite ongoing bit. Very well done laying those out, so funny.
Love this series! It's amazing to hear about everything that goes on behind the scenes, and it really shows how incredibly talented and professional the producers are. Hope you continue making Producers react videos
I honestly think Johnny is such a wonderful addition to the Try Guys channel. He brings such a comedic presence.
PLEASSSSEEE Keep giving us director stories!!! give us more of this!
I want Rachel to tell us about everything!
