    Great to see the kids there helping. You're creating core memories for them. Even if they don't remember exactly, what they did, he will remember helping dad build the rear of the car. Of course, as he gets older, likely the story will be that HE built it and SHE put in the gas tank. That being said, the little dude needs eye pro when wire wheeling. Those steel wires hurt when they hit your eye, ask me how I know!

      I tried to find more info on it about how many were made but PHS didn’t really have any groundbreaking information. Best they could tell me was that in ‘72 78,000 Venturas were manufactured and of those “maybe” 10% were “sprint” package cars.

    F-41 suspension with the rear sway bar and thicker front bar (and some other things) is pretty unusual in that generation of X-body, although Pontiac installed a lot of them in Venturas compared to Chevrolet with Novas. The upper anchor fittings had to go in at Fisher Body. Cool option to have.

    The Sibling Car w/The Chevy Nova... Similar To The Camaro & Firebird F-Bodied Siblings. I've always liked it that GM mixed things around to be a choice for everyone brand wise, etc.,
    Anyways, I've found that the plastic sheets used when shipping items on pallets(usually gray/black in color)& placed under the items on the pallet,
    are pretty good for laying on while doing car repairs on the garage floor
    use cardboard for catching oily jobs on top of the sheet. Good Luck with your Sprint by the way!!!.

    For that adapter for the combination valve. NAPA should carry it? For some reason GM made the fitting larger than the rest of the lines and the same for all the replacement lines sold.
    I used to have the part number memorized but it's been years since I used one and have forgotten it now. We used to do a LOT of brake lines on cars here in the rust belt!
    If your local parts store doesn't have the fitting I have cut off the old one and used it to make a new flare onto the new line many times as well.

    Hey Dan, where did you get your leaf springs for on your Ventura? My Ventura needs replacement for the old mono leafs.

    • @hatchsrecreationalengineer1997
      @hatchsrecreationalengineer1997  2 месяца назад

      These are just some old leaf springs someone gave me. The reason you need mono leafs isn’t because of your car it’s because of the mounts welded to your rear differential. They do make a kit to use your stock differential perches and convert it to a multi leaf spring. Check it out www.camarocentral.com/1967_1969_Camaro_DSE_Mono_to_Multi_Conversion_p/sus-525.htm

    • @hatchsrecreationalengineer1997
      @hatchsrecreationalengineer1997  2 месяца назад

      Everything about the Ventura is the same as the nova except for front clip and tail panel. So yes you could definitely convert one to be a nova. Many people have done this since it is sooooo difficult and expensive to find the Pontiac parts if you are missing any of them.

      @@jct300m yes. It has had a repaint at some point but the orange is original. As a “sprint” package car it had a stripe down the sides where remnants can still be scene in the door jams.
