I've been working in a Corrugated Factory for 7 years now and counting as a Product Development and watching this still amaze me although the machine used here is not that advance but to think that there is a lot of corrugated factory in South Korea, it makes me think and want to work there. Such a nice country.

There is big money in this skill. I got paid to work a Sunday for about 100 bucks an hour. After 17 hours I walked away and told the factory, the money is not worth my time.

I deliver the giant paper rolls to a bunch of cardboard box plants in California, and I love getting to watch the machinery doing this! I never have the time to ask for permission to film it though lol
Some of the plants I go to are old with a lot of manual equipment like this one had, and others are basically entirely automated with robots stacking the rolls of paper into the warehouse shelves and retrieving them later as needed, and then the piles of sheets or finished boxes moving on automated roller conveyor systems to the warehouse, with switches that send different products different directions based on the bar code label.
All fun stuff to watch!
I would enjoy working in the maintenance department at one of these plants, but it's just too noisy! I like to be able to hear myself think lol
So you basically work for a kraft paper supplier/manufacturer. In the realm of the corrugated boxes world, kraft manufacfurer is the God of this business as they set the price for everything else down the stream and there are very few of them compared to all these converting plants. They're the biggest fish in this business!!
I used to work at plants like that. Our Roll Storage warehouses were huge. Rolls were stacked on end 5 or more rows high. Those special fork lifts look like they would tip over, but don't.

We have the same Sam Hyun machine made in Korea. It's a rugged and heavy duty machine. We bought it second hand. It was used for 10 years before and we have been using it for the last 12 years. I would like to get connected with the people using the machine made by the same manufacturer. I understood that the machine manufacturer is no longer making this machine.

I work for a corrugated cardboard factory in the US. We have some machines like this and the one I work on does 800 boxes per minute if the board and stack pattern and crew are on top of their game.

I used to work on a triple wall corrugator. We purchased web tracking equipment from E&L a German manufacturer. Worked very well so operators didn't need to open or close web guides manually. Also helped correct end to end warping.

We are using the Sam Hyun machine in India. It's fantastic.
This kind of Box plant we call it converting Box plant/ they don't produce board they buy corrugated board from the corrugated board plant with a corrugated Machine and focus Box converting. My family used to own a corrugated board plant just focus and supply board to box converting plants.
In this video, I can see this plant focus produce heavy substances and small quantity cartons ( Alot of the big boy don't take this kind of order) I believe they have a very good profit margin.
Nice. This plant is way out of date by US standards. Some of these hand processes are going on but by and large the machines that print and slot also fold and stitch or glue the manufacturers joint closed. All that patting and spanking is in order to make sure the finished box comes out square, not crooked. Those printing plates are not natural rubber. It is a photo polymer created plate.
*_The plant is using Triple Wall Board... very thick and very strong... much like plywood._*
I used to work for a Corrugated Container Plant. Our plant made single and double wall board. One of our other plants made triple wall board. It has 2 layers of corrugation and 3 layers of smooth. All together it's over 1/4 inch thick.
Our plant made triple wall by combining A flute B flute and C flute at the doublebacker machine. This board is very strong and used for bulk containers.
@@jimm8246 Thanks for comment. When I first saw triple wall I almost mistook it for plywood. It was thick and very stiff. We made it for major appliance manufacturers. They needed very sturdy containers for shipping washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc.
I think it could be used to build temporary small houses after disasters. They could be recycled when no longer needed. My cat loves boxes, so would homeless that lost everything in a tornado.

It’s very difficult to buy boxes I’ve found.
Only a select few will sell them to the public. And only in certain sizes and shapes. If you need a box to ship your television or an oblong item, you’ll be paying a lot more.
@@ke6gwf Done this, it takes real effort. Used two large home depot boxes and made a single long one to ship curtain rods. Surprisingly it passed the shipping requirements for Fedex/UPS. Or maybe they take a package regardless if it holds or not.
I deliver stitching wires (Big version of staple pin) to corrugated box industry.

Почему не разрушены железнодорожные вокзалы крупных городов, таких как Киев, Львов, Житомир, Ужгород, особенно ж-д Гребенка, откуда пути идут во все стороны Украины с их инфраструктурой? Непонятно, какими местами думают наши российские генералы? Уж точно, не мозгами.
