$8k for run-of-the-mill Mahogany, and probably just as average Spruce top. I just could never. Yamaki, Matsumoku built Aria, Morris, and especially Kazuo Yairi, from 72-76 with higher select grade woods, even old growth Jacaranda (Brazilian Rosewood), can be bought at a fraction, and sound better than any Martin or Gibson. Only boutique instrumets, can beat Golden Era Japanese.
Exactly, these idiots overspend strictly for the name on the headstock, There are guitars out there that play More beautifully with Better materials for a fraction of that price. Is what a joke!
@@ParkourRhett I just bought 7 acoustics from Japan, this passed week. The Yamaki YD-35 "Joodee", and Yasuma Custom 900 are both rare modelsa, hand builds, made from highest grade select woods. $500 for all of them.
$1500 is the cutoff of a quality guitar and then you’re just an overcompensating mediocre guitar player with an overpriced $1500 guitar… (and $1500 is still too high these days)
As far as my electric and bass guitar go, I have enjoyed my Lock-It brand straps that have built in sliding strap locks. Maybe check them out if you haven't tried them! You can get a poly strap on Sweetwater for as low as $20.
@@JeremySheppardI work for a particular music retailer and for the $6999 price tag, I can confirm you are absolutely being robbed. I’ve played 2 of these and they were hilariously bad. Even a normal Taylor 314ce felt and sounded better lol.
Jeremy, you know damn well that is not 8k. Looks like a D-18 right, well there about 3k. It has Mahogany back and sides, it’s not from the custom shop, it a basic spruce top and doesn’t look like Adirondack buddy. A leather strap works absolutely perfect, what’s your point. @@JeremySheppard thanks Jeremy for the reply, I might suggest to you sir, next time don’t focus on the guitar price, it’s simply irrelevant because the strap was your focus right! You opened yourself up to ridicule because the guitar certainly didn’t look like a 37’ authentic and most of all sounded terrible. Tune it and play it because you didn’t represent Martin very well this time.
dude out here in his reissued jordan's trying to flex with retail pricing, and pay to play "price guides" as if we don't live in the 21st century and can see actual sold prices.

And worth 1/3 of that a year later. 😉 Taylors are fun and the Martin Vs Taylor argument isn't helpful, but Martin endures in value and tone, Taylors don't age well or hold value.

An all leather strap works well without scratching a guitar’s finish.
Plays $8,000 guitar and it sounds like it was sold at dollar general 😂
Also handles it like it's a 100 dollar guitar

They make them for guitar, but any hardware store has a thick rubber washer that works extremely well
Hi Jeremy!! What is the most bassiest high quality guitar you’ve ever played?? Love your channel Jeremy!!
This is not new. I bought a Kramer Beretta in 1987 that came with similar strap locks.
Really? That’s interesting! Were they metal?
@@JeremySheppard
Yes. They were black to match the rest of the hardware. They were o.e.
Not on my 6000.00 Pablo Santana Jackson USA Custom...
8k thousand for that Martin??? I call bullshit. That's a robbery
It's a 1939 Martin Authentic Aged D-18 with VTS. $7,999 retail

How much is the Martin?
This is a D-18 Authentic 1937 with the VTS and aging. It's $7999 new.
Is that Brazilian Rosewood back and sides?
No, it's a D18
Those rokloks scratch your guitar! I know I had some.
Please, state the model and not just the retail price.
It looks like a Martin D-18. You can tell because of the black binding, bridge pins, and lighter colored back and sides.
@PANICBLADE i know, i just meant in general. Telling me "this $10k guitar" isnt impressive or helpful
more like a $ 2000 D28 martin
mire faje news i know i had one exchange it for D35E Martin
Dont get anything plastic.
Ive been playing since 98.
Schaller s locks are the best

I'm sorry I was one dollar over the sales price. 🙄

Most thin/sterile sounding 8k guitar I’ve ever heard. Better off with a Gibson j-45 and 5k left in your account to invest
“$8000 Martin” couldn’t even have it in tune for the demo ahahahaha cringe
REALLY! The $8 grand quickly went to $800.

play on electric so i solely use schaller s locks
On accoustic just use leather, this thing is noisy
I got $100 Madeira that sounds just as good .Net profit for me $7900😂😂😂😂😂
I couldn’t give two shits if the strap fell off while it was playing😂😂😂😂😂
Taylor makes the best acoustic guitar and it’s not even close!
Gibson j45 for the win
There's no such thing as an $8000 Martin. Only fools that pay eight thousand dollars for a guitar
I could never see paying $8,000 for any guitar
Definitely not that one at least 😂
Not for nothin
Never saw a strap peg there
Either that Martin is a dud or you got ripped off

The system sucks for this guitar, but even more sucks that you did not tune your guitar. TUNE YOUR GUITAR BEFORE PLAYING FOR OTHER PEOPLE!!!

$8000 for a mahogany dreadnought martin without any herringbone binding or abalone??? Lol whatever dude.
Yup. But it's also an absolute obsession with recreating a 30's 18.
Tune the martin. Thing sounds awful lol
Nope
So out of tune my god
Doesn’t spend $80 on a nice tuner…
