I am dumbstruck! This is a very worthy rendition! Awesome job! And, by the way, when the calmer notes started taking over at 4:44, I started weeping! I seriously cried!
@Francisco Miguel are you saying that the playing notes themselves were automatically generated from the sheet? Regardless, I was mainly praising the composition and its piano rendition.
The sheet is created from the performance, not the other way around here. The hands are computer generated, but the piece is actually performed, bit by bit. ❤️👍
“You cannot pass! I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. The dark Fire will not avail you, flame of Udûn! Go back to the shadow. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!”
Book variant: “‘you cannot pass,’ he said. The orcs stood still, and a dead silence fell. ‘I am a servant of the Secret Fire, weilder of the flame Anor. You cannot pass. The dark fire will not avail you flame of Udûn. Go back to the Shadow! You cannot pass.’ The Balrog made no answer. The fire in it seemed to die, but the darkness grew. It stepped forward slowly on to the bridge, and suddenly it drew itself up to a great height, and it’s wings were spread from wall to wall; but still Gandalf could be seen, glimmering in the gloom; he seemed small, and altogether alone: grey and bent, like a wizened tree before the onset of a storm. From out of the shadow a red sword leaped flaming. Glamdring glittered white in answer. There was a ringing clash and a stab of white fire. The Balrog fell back and it’s sword flew up in molten fragments. The wizard swayed on the bridge, stepped back a pace, and then again stood still. ‘You cannot pass!’ He said. …At that moment Gandalf lifted his staff, and crying aloud he smote the bridge before him. The staff broke asunder and fell from his hand. A blinding sheet of white flame sprang up. The bridge cracked. Right at the balrogs feet it broke, and the stone upon which it stood crashed into the gulf, while the rest remained, poised quivering like a tongue of rock thrust out into emptiness. With a terrible cry the Balrog fell forward and it’s shadow plunged down and vanished. But even as it fell it swung its whip and the thongs lashed and curled about the wizards knees, dragging him to the brink. He staggered and fell, grasped vainly at the stone, and slid into the abyss. ‘Fly you fools!’ He cried and was gone.”
The end of this song is maybe my favorite pice of music. It’s sad but on the same time so peaceful and warmth. You can feel every emotion of the fellows. Could listen to it endlessly.

I'm a simple man. I see LotR notif. I click without hesitation... would have done the same even if it was only Bridge of Khazad-Dum's name bc wow this track always slaps
Interesting fact about this scene. J.R.R Tolkien using "You shall not pass" may be a reference to a well known slogan used to express determination to defend a position against an enemy, which is *"They shall not pass!"* It was most famously used by a french general in the battle of Verdun in the First World War. As J. R. R. Tolkien was a veteran of WWI who had fought at the Battle of the Somme, this line from Gandalf was most likely referencing this phrase.
@@megfiussr6711 Yeah, J. R. R. Tolkien was a really smart guy! Your English is great! If you replace the brackets *)* with full stops *.* then it reads better, but great job picking up a new language!
Hi SMB, I think you might like to try “Ashes on the Fire” by Kohta Yamamoto and featured in Attack On Titan season 4. Great percussive elements, pads and washes, ostinato…I think this would be great on piano and would love to see what you guys create in your interpretation!
