This is the first episode that didn’t hit like that (for me). Mona did say that they were off shrooms, so maybe that’s the reason for the tension…idk it was hard to watch. I’ve noticed a few things while watching this podcast:
• What is Phelps’ position on the show? Is he a cohost that is entitled to share his opinions (whether in agreement or disagreement with Mona’s) or is he a guest that should just be happy to be there and not say much?
• People don’t typically label themselves a contrarian because it’s not an admirable quality. Mona has called Phelps a contrarian on multiple episodes and I think this was the straw that broke the camels back. She might not have known that Phelps was perceiving this as her speaking bad on his character.
• Cussing and name calling…it’s all good when the vibes are right, but as friends and people that value each other, the moment things get tense cussing and name calling in the convo gotta stop bc it escalates things.
I hope y’all squash it and get back to the palpable group chemistry next episode.
Also, we can probably blame this on y’all being in LA for too long…Cali make people act weird. Y’all some East coast folk…the show belongs in Philly.

The little heated exchange between Mona and Phelps is a good example of people who’ve been around each other so much, for so long, the personal begins to leak into the professional. I knew it was serious when Mona called Phelps a weirdo, that let me know she was really upset at him. When a hood girl starts calling you “weirdo” she’s really fed up with you and you hit a nerve lol. With that said, I think Mona was annoyed all day and she just wasn’t into the Phelps shenanigans

I agree with Mona about Phelps being a contrarian. He can be very aggy at times, and it is just uncalled for. Like they both take jabs at each other, but I've read the comments, and what people are forgetting is how on the last couple of pods, she said she didn't like how he was saying she was paying people for sex or showing herself online for money. Dre never took it out, and Phelps kept thinking it was funny. Like clearly, she was annoyed, and he never corrected it as she asked, and now when the shoe is on the other foot, he is in his feelings. But he always tries to contradict her because I understand agreeing to disagree, but he does the most at times, either over talking or just being loud and saying weird shit.

Mona had a point when she said “that’s her experience” Phelps does have a habit of inserting his opinion as if it’s fact about what she’s saying when she speaks on what she has seen for herself. No one enjoys expressing themselves or personal experiences with things to have someone tell them they are wrong for feeling that way. Over the last few episodes it’s more noticeable they both should work on understanding that banter and differences in opinion is to give fresh perspectives from people who don’t view everything the same. Phelps especially should work on his delivery when he is doing it because the way he expresses his view point can be misinterpreted and it shows it triggers Mona. Mona should work on not invalidating his opinion and understand an opinion is like a asshole. We all have one. Conversations involving opinions work both ways and don’t require arguments. Seek to understand and even when you don’t agree it doesn’t make that other person wrong for how they view it.
Also certain topics that you know you’d prefer to just get your view point off on without banter maybe Phelps shouldn’t co-host with you. Because some times when you guys bicker it gets your conversation off topic and we don’t get to hear the rest of the subject you’re talking about. Because you be so focused on moving along to calm down from being annoyed. I be like damn what was you trynna say

Agreed. The different perspectives layers the content so viewers get to see parts of themselves in each personality. But as an Aquarius we can be controlling and complicated to our own detriment yet expect those closest to us to just go with it.
