Thank you for this great coverage Fast Company and for visiting our HQ and innovation lab. We can't wait for the world to discover more about our electric Jet ✈🔋
I simply cannot see a business case for a market justification and ROI, knowing the aviation market well. You have been lucky with your investors! Best regards from a factory somewhere in Hamburg.
Excellent.... waiting to witness this in reality.!!!!
Good point. Daniel Wiegand forgot to mention, that the only thing which has flown so far was a remotely controlled drone.
….and we are 5 years beyond the date he claimed it would definitely be in service. Also, the so called prototype (a de facto rc model) has never demonstrated a spot turn, a hover taxi, a fast stop, or a crosswind approach. All things they cannot do that are integral to the claimed mission.
@@XPLAlN Do the Lilium guys really call it a prototype?
@@avigator idk, but the last flying model was officially the ‘5th generation technology demonstrator’? A lot of the fanboys insist the model is a prototype of course.
@@XPLAlN Yes, because what they have so far is only a demonstrator. A prototype is something completely different. The prototype is actually the first build of the real aircraft. Ideally, only minor changes will be necessary to evolve a prototype into the production aircraft.
Go Lilium ‼️
Will the Lilium Jet ever lift off with passengers?
Hopefully, I hate the train conditions here so much.@@avigator
@@knabbagluon 😂 Trains are mass transportation. The Lilium Jet will be Business Class. If it ever will lift off …
Bravo ! Blended wing body may have higher lift to drag ratio.
By the end of 2025 they will release another video on how they will revolutionize transportation by 2027
Given how long it takes to get FAA certification, there is absolutely ZERO chance this will be commercially ready in 2025 or even 2027. More like 2030, and that is assuming they can get a craft ready in the next year or two.
Most VETOL vehicles look like upscaled drones but this beast is simply sexy!! ^^
LILM is nothing but looks, flight testing has been a joke
Well, at the moment, the Lilium Jet is just a remotely controlled, drone. 🙃
really perfect ~take it easy. Fast! 💫
Electric planes will definitely start flying soon. Can’t wait to see it
They fly and can carry passengers but only for a very short time . Not viable yet.
*economically viable commercial
@@russellprout723i saw a story a while back about how one company has made a bunch of electric planes for different flight schools. its viable for them bc theyre only flying a short amount of time.
Very interesting. Wishing you MUCH success!!
Lilium and Jetoptera are both doing this the right way. Fewer moving parts and no massive blades, which could endanger the riders and craft in the event of a mishap.
It's so beautiful, I hope Lilium wins based on esthetics alone :)
Two questions:
1. Why so few prototypes? Why not go the SpaceX route and have improved prototypes every month flying around with continuous testing?
2. Why human pilots? Driving AI is so much harder... you have children, paper bags, stop signs, etc.. In the air, just birds and the occasional drone.
1:52 John....I think your #2 outboard is a little out of round there! 2:03 "...beauty of having 36 engines..." I remember when you use to call them electric ducted fans. What happened??? Did marketing get ahold of you?
They are motors
Can’t wait
any company that uses super rapid cuts when showing the product then a long slow pan of a hangar door?? yeah what are they trying to hide other than their product
From the videos i have seen and heard this plane generates more noise than other leading competitors. Gives me concern, although perhaps the final version will be quieter.
this is really cool and all but i dont think this plane could even make it from daytona to south keys without having to be charged up.
Well obviously, its a completely new thing, its not gonna have the same distance capabilities as a jet engine, at least until we find new innovative ways in ensuring that
@@dustingarwood6180Problem is, with full payload it doesn’t have any range. 🤷♂️
I'm morbidly curious how they do the bird impact test...
I got a design that will make electricity while pushing you forward
600 acciones de lilm. Voy a comprar 5000 acciones para ser millonario en 10 años
I hope you've reached out to Sergey Brin's LTA Research. At 1:40, all I see is an airship
Lilium can get Korean partner🙏
Such a great flying machine, but then they put heavy batteries in there.
Dumb, dumber, dumbest.
you can't have very unique it's unique [and that's it] and yes it would be the only one in the world
helps explain why there are 36 engines at some point in the future ?? fewer engines ??
No concerns? You must be joking - do you really think your marketing sales pitch is going to make it happen?
Now get the wings to fold in over its roof, like an insect's, and make it driveable and parkable in cities, no larger than a minivan.
That start up money must be nice, this thing won't become a reality since they never mentioned battery chemistry nor range. Clearly they have no idea on what they are doing
0.86 cents a share
Paul Moeller is biting his lip somewhere....
Bring regional flight to the everyday life of ridiculously rich people, making noise for the poor people below.
When, what the f is hokding it from starting.
Well cars havent, so aircraft wontwill it
Why waste time on interior design and spent hours at the hair dresser, when you could demonstrate lifting a crash test dummy a single inch of the ground....
Again video full off stupidity:
- carbon footprint... - do we present plane or Great Rest bst?
- foto of plane from the tail side - do video maker knows anything about subject?
On its way to commercial Failure Fast .....
Those are motors not engines and this thing is a scam my man.
🤣
Lilium greenwashing a luxury toy for the rich. 😂
electric engines are not greener
3x aprox power more efficient than a gas engine, and they're not greener?
3 wheel cars and electric airplanes at take off straight up all fake and fraud😂😂😂
