  • I’ve just watched this oldish video before uploading it and realised it could have been edited a lot shorter than it is, but as I am full of cold and haven’t anything else ready at the moment it will have to do. I actually try out my Dyson Time Machine during this video and was lucky to make it back to the present day with my head intact! I don’t know what drugs I must have taken before filming!
Anyway, some of you may find this video relaxing to watch and if not, switch off.

We got these in the Co-Op store I worked in, back in late 1999. It replaced the blue version. I have never seen one of these with the hood off, and that motor is very different looking from the usual motor in these cleaners. It was an unpopular model for us anyway, and the noise & difficult pushing it resulted in complaints from customers. There was demand for a lightweight cleaner, but of course many customers knew that the physical weight was only the start of the story - moving a vacuum cleaner in use could be the more difficult problem. Our best sellers for easy-to-use uprights was always, always the basic Panasonic, although the bagged Electrolux Powerline cleaners weren't too bad either.

It would be interesting to put the floor pan tool attachments on both this 575w/600w Junior and then a 400w Turbopower to see if the increase wattage makes a difference on the suction gauge…

Ibaisiac should do a repair school video collaboration with Beko1987. Be like a teaching video series to show people how to do basic repairs and then eventually more elaborate ones. Beko has the repair skills and Roger has the video directing skills, would work out well I think, and Roger can learn too.

I’ll really enjoy watching you repair and refurbish your older vacuum cleaners. Just remember to put a rug down. That bit that broke off is just silly to be made of plastic, it probably would have broken off when you turned it on.

The one thing that puts me off Shark is their longevity; they don't seem to be designed with any sort of repair in mind.

The disadvantage with them is that the bin where the dirt empties into has no bag in it where as the Samsung Jet has a bag in the self cleaning unit making it cleaner to dispose of the dirt.

@@Deb.-. I have not had any problems with that and plus I don’t like buying bags so this is a real game changer just keep it clean and it’s all good

Regarding the person who made that obtuse comment about the dirty vacuum…perhaps he can test ‘lack of orderliness’ and try to sell his filthy house…all tattered up like the inside of that thick skull of his. People. And to think I’m counted as one of them. I hope to be a Dachshund loved by a good owner in the next life.

I buy used, broken, abandoned vacuums and I can tell you, there are different levels of filthyness, and used or not I can still say it's filthy. Most of the vacuums you can tell have not been switched on in 20-30 years but ones that you can tell have been used recently it's a wonder how they get that bad.
