He really could the issue is what has killed Russ from being a constant 1st team defender his whole career despite his athleticism. Can he bottle that passion and keep enough of a level head to stay disciplined on defense for 48 minutes. I've seen spurts from him but he needs tighten up his technique on that end.
The Clippers wasted Russ. 8 minutes left in their final playoff game and Russ is on the bench. The team is walking up and down the court, missing 3's, killing time. All they needed Russ to do was run n score or run n pass💯

Not really. Saric is a great passing big man. Between him and Westbrook you have 2 players who can run offense through off the bench. Before that Nuggets just had a bunch of role players off the bench who looked a little lost when they hit the floor.
He’s a solid stretch big. He can shoot the three, work the inside, pass to the open man etc. These are the perfect kinda guys that can mesh well with the Nuggets system . We just need a defensive big and maybe one more floor spacer (Guard) and we should be fine if not already.
