    I have it! Gets stuck with cables and doesn't avoid them. You also didn't mention the multi-floor option, and that might have been worth mentioning.

    Hey there! I don’t usually comment on RUclips videos but I felt I had to comment on this one.
    I’m not even in the market for this product, this just randomly popped up in my recommended. Even then, I still stuck around and really enjoyed the video. People like you make it much easier when trying to decide if to buy a product or not.
    Loved the video and the production, you definitely earned a sub from me! Cheers! 😊👍

    The camera is useful in fringe situtaions - I doubt anyone uses it regularly, so it does not take anything away from the autonomy. it is good for "did I turn off the lights" situations. That said, the camera is quite - well, the physical location is low an that can not be fixed ;)

      Yeah that's a good use case, didn't think of that.

    Thank you for this informational video. I have the DEEBOT X1 plus and N8+. I absolutely love these vacuums. They are so much better then the I robot. I have cats and dogs so I have to vacuum daily. These vacuum’s do love running into the cat water bowls and food all the time which is a pain. I also have ruggable carpets and the vacuum is always turning up the corners. But that is miner stuff. So i am very interested in a newer version that hopefully will not run into the bowls. 😊 The app has definitely come a long way. When I got my first one the N8+ the app was so non user friendly. 😢 I am wondering if this new vacuum will turn up the corners of my ruggable throw carpets 🤔 Thank you again for the review.

    I’m planning on purchasing this model. It will be used at my second home which we go to every few weeks / months. The camera would / could be used if we need to double check if we think we have left a window open or if we think something was left behind.
    We have a builder with keys to the house as we are doing some renovations so a good extra security measure if we need to check anything.
    Just a basic visual tool for assistance.

      Wow, that is a very specific use case, but a great idea. As you may have seen in the video, the on-board camera isn't great, it's quite grainy and obviously it's low down to the ground, but hopefully it works for you. Let me know if it serves the purpose.

      One thing I can tell you about this vacuum as we just started operating it and no one talks about it runs out of water and continues to mop dry. I reached out to the company and they said the robot has no on board water sensor in the robot tank. Honestly as good as it is it's useless.

    just pulled the plug on this. Thanks for the review.
    At the end towards the verdict.. you mentioned it isn't the ultimate, if so what do you think in your opinion the ultimate robot vacuum there is currently available to purchase (just want to take notes) cheers

      @TheTechShed1  2 месяца назад +2

      Great question. To be fair, this is probably one of if not the best robot vacuum you could get. But I was hoping for a bit more. It still struggled with cables and cords which was a shame, and it didn't introduce many super new features that pushed it above its competitors, hence why I didn't think it's the ultimate. Does that make sense? It's still really good though...

      @@TheTechShed1hello how come no one mentions anything about the mopping feature and continues to mop your floor. The manufacturer said that this robot does not have a water sensor in the tank of the robot so it will continue to mop dry. I was blown away. I will be returning I watch it clean the floor and does the perimeter and then runs dry in the center. Can you recommend robots that actually have sensors in their water tank and which have larger water tanks specifically for mopping

    • @TheTechShed1
      @TheTechShed1  20 дней назад +1

      @@mikelalonde5248 Hmm that's interesting. I'd say my mopping area isn't large enough for it to ever run out, so this has never happened to me. I do get notifications when there's no water in the tank of the base station, basically implying that it won't mop unless I fill it up, but I've never run out of water in the actual robot itself. Something I'll have to keep an eye out for in the future.

    • @TheTechShed1
      @TheTechShed1  20 дней назад +1

      Yeah most of the Ecovacs ones have a bag inside the base station that you're supposed to throw out and replace, but I just use a tool like a fork or something similar and empty it myself. It's yuck but saves a bit of money.

      @@rakheenarvekar when you say higher level? Are you asking will it be able to get up to that level? In my bathroom I have a pretty high metal carpet trim, where it goes from hardwood to carpet, and the vacuum can easily get over that. It has big wheels. Does that help at all?

    I will definitely skip the X5. After being super happy with the X1, I am very disappointed with the X2.
    I have a very long list of bad things, but I will just mention that the AI works very poorly. And from what I hear from your video, the AI system is the same. The robot crashes into chairs, walls, gets stuck on everything and anything. If you want to clean the room properly you have to remove the chairs, flower vases and practically clean the room because otherwise it will get so confused and end up returning to base.
    From what I have seen in other videos, the X5 still hits obstacles.

    • @TheTechShed1
      @TheTechShed1  10 дней назад

      Yeah, it does bump into stuff, not as bad as its predecessors, but it still most definitely gets caught up in cords and cables.

    Does it has auto dustbin clean

    • @TheTechShed1
      @TheTechShed1  Месяц назад

      So, there is a small dustbin inside the robot, which will then get automatically emptied into a larger dustbin inside the base station.
      You will need to replace the one in the base station every month or so, however if you can stomach it, I just empty the bag and use it again.
