Rather than continue 12..Be7 as in the game, both their opponents played 12..Bc5. The first hero won, the second drew. But saying he finished with a perfect score followed by anything other than a 9/9 score means it's not perfect. Perfection indicates that he couldn't have done better. Since there is a better score (9/9), his tournament shouldn't be labeled as perfect. Simple as that.
Were games featuring sorcery from the olden days not considered sorcery because not enough time had passed? Seems like an arbitrary distinction, especially since sorcery isn't real, now or in the past.

I know we're a year later 😂 but If he did there's Rc1 and black queen has no good place to go and white peaces are much more active and the king is not castled yet so you don't even need to calculate it 😅
