I live near an airport that's half Air National Guard and half civilian. Out of the tankers that are based there and all the other large military aircraft that fly in and out, there's a Baron 58 that's the loudest airplane that flies out of there.
The smother the flight , the better the Pilot . Thanks for getting us there safe Capt Val !!!!
That's my home town airport. Born and raised Floridian and have lived in Venice for most of my life. Spent so much time watching planes fly in and out of our little airport. So awesome to see you here. Hope you enjoyed your stay.

Brings back some awesome memories. Grew up in Lakeland and worked at Roberts flying service back 81/82, back when the Piper plant was still active. Boss used to let me take the birds around the pattern for a .5 every time we washed them. Built up quite a bit of time doing that as a 16 y/o. Worked quite a few Sun N Funs, but we did not have the Winter Festival back then. We did not even have a tower till late 82 if I remember correctly. Good times.

Yeah, the TBM gear is still thinking about moving while the Baron's is up & stowed. (Steveo has commented on the slow gear down/up on the TBM compared to other aircraft he's flown before.) My thought, as long as it works when required...

I just commented on Val's channel and initially I didn't realize you were on her flight to the Winter Festival, but then I noted you climbing on board. I can't think of a pilot I trust more than Val as she is just so organized and follows all the rules and checklists every time. The Baron is just a hot rod with her behind the wheel, but I do like the aircrafts you get to pilot all the time. I can see why you didn't recognize the interior with all of her upgrades. Don't you like her constant monitoring of her planes performance. I believe you are in good hands SteveO. Enjoy the festival.

Excellent video for me to watch on a Christmas Eve day AWAY from Florida. Lakeland is always a nice place to visit on a cross country jaunt. Captain Val? Yep, It's a title well deserved. Great job. Great flight. Great video.

My dad had a 56TC. N234TP That Baron was fast and very thirsty. ATC at Felts Field in Spokane Wa. always granted a high speed pass cuz they loved to hear those engines...
