Excellent work, Dygma! When I bought my Defy, I did so with the expectation that the software/firmware would be imperfect (but at least good enough), and that Dygma would continue to make it better according to customer preferences within a reasonable timeframe. This expectation has turned out to be correct. Yay!
If exactly one Dygma keyboard is connected, I think Bazecor should skip the keyboard manager screen on startup and go directly to the main editing screen. If people want something else, for example to play with a virtual keyboard, they can always open the keyboard manager manually. If either zero or more than one Dygma keyboard are connected, the keyboard manager screen should be shown on startup.
I also hope that Dygma products will become QMK/ZMK compatible. It’s unclear to me how difficult this is, but I heard somebody suggest that perhaps Dygma could contribute to upstream code if there are deficiencies in QMK/ZMK. That seems like an excellent idea to me.
You're right about the home screen: we are working on that feature where it skips it if there's only one keyboard, but it's a bit trickier than what it looks.
About QMK/ZMK, that's another level of difficult, but it's something we might consider at some point.
As a first ergo keyboard I got myself a Voyager (was hesitating with the Defy) but I always enjoy following Dygma!
How is it as your first board? Maybe you can have it as a travel board and get the Defy for home 😅
@@DygmaLab I LOVE IT! Not issues at all. But I'd definitely consider the Defy 1 or 2 (if it gets an upgrade) out of curiosity haha
Awesome! Can't wait to have my Defy 🎉❤
😍
Congrats already developing on the details that for sure make a difference on daily use
That's the plan!
New Hair. Who This? By the way, great additions. Love the virtual keyboard function.
She is Dominique 1.4 😜
😱So many great adjustments!😱
Months worth of work 😃
Bazecor is really great
And it's gonna get better 🥰
Which mouse is that? Thanks for the vid!
It's the Delux M618mini
Is there a way to have profiles and switch between the profiles by the connected machines or manually ? Both my partner and my self use the same desk at home (alternating) and she would want her prefernces when plugging her laptop and I would want my preferences if I have different settings/layers to hers. Wondering this is available and how it can be achieved ?
You can have a different backup for each that you restore when you begin work. Or you can share layers. 1 to 5 for one, 5 to 10 for the other. Although in that scenario you share settings like dual-function keys timeouts.
nice
😎
Are there any plans for a Dygma Defy discount?
We usually only do discounts on Black Friday...
I installed 1.4 .0. Setting up the keyboard feels smoother. But battery level is still not showing when the cables are connected. Any info on the status on that?
When the cables are connected you should see a "charging" status that will stop blinking when it's fully charged. Due to limitations of the electronics, Bazecor can't read the charge of the battery while it's charging; only if it's charging or fully charged.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
🥳🥳🥳🥳
where is the ~ on dygma raise 2 cant find it.
Since the Raise is a 60% keyboard, we have ESC next to "1" (instead of ~). By default, you will find ~ on layer 3 (on the ESC key). Of course, since it's programmable, you can put it wherever you prefer 😊
Hmmm... Javascript error during the installation process... Needs a fix...
That's weird. Can you email support@dygma.com a screenshot of the error?
I would also recommend uninstalling and installing again 🙏
@@DygmaLab reinstalling doesn't help. I've just sent a screenshot to support.
Thank you!
WOW ZMK can't even do that!
ZMK has great things, but saving changes to your keyboard is NOT one of them. That process is a PAIN 😂
@@DygmaLab lol don't say it out loud like that. The DiY wireless keyboard people will cancel you.
@@DygmaLab well sort of. Yes there are a few more steps involved, like changing code, waiting for it to compile, and resetting the board and copying firmware to it. Copying firmware is drag and drop. So that's easy.
I have and still use my Dygma keyboards daily though ;)
