I needed this Steveo. I accidentally screwed up at my job the other day, and I feel like I'm on the brink of termination or at least a demotion. This gave me some much-needed comfort just knowing that even if I get fired, I'll still be okay and might actually laugh at it later down the road.
getting fired from my last job back in 2019 was the best thing that happened to me recently. got another job soon after paying me more than double. quit that one after getting a bunch of experience, now i work for myself. learn from mistakes, be honest, and remember: there's always opportunity. cheers
It will be ok buddy. I thought my life was over because I got fired in April from my chemical operator job of 13 years. I was so depressed I thought about suicide, but I held in there and got a job where people actually appreciate me. If you get fired just hang in there, it will get better

I really do think part of Steve's recovery is that he isn't ashamed of his past, instead he confronts it, laughs at it and even relishes in it. Wasn't "fired" as a dishwasher, but relocated and then I quit entirely, because I was too thorough on cleaning the dishes, which must have cut into the turn-around time. Buying a few more dishes must have been out of the question for profitability.

We got some bad news recently when my dad got diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer that has metastasized to his lungs. This cancer shit has been absolutely brutal, and has spread way quicker than doctors originally thought. We are not sure how much longer he has left, but it’s unlikely he makes it through the year. Believe it or not, with all this going on, one of the things he is most bummed about is that Jackass Forever’s release date got pushed back from the original October release date. I wanted to reach out on his behalf just to see if there was any way he might be able to see at least part of the new movie before he goes.
