Ngl, but being able to save DogDay and have him as your companion alongside Ollie, Poppy and Kissy Missy really feels assuring, because with what Catnap's done I believe I can say confidently that he won't be turning on us.

I’ll be honest:
I feel like Dogday had so much potential in the new chapter, and I’m disappointed with how quickly he was cast aside. The Smiling Critters in general didn't get nearly as much ingame attention as I expected (minus Catnap), given their hype. As the leader of the critters, Dogday barely having any showtime just feels off to me.
I wish this mod was canon; even if Dogday is horrifying to look at (sorry buddy!), it would’ve been so nice to have another partner in this nightmare facility. I LOVE when horror games give you a character to join forces with you...even if they betray you or die later on. It just makes the experience more enjoyable for me.

I legitimately thought this was an alternate route and was looking everywhere through gameplays only to be brought that this is a mod, which is a huge bummer that the devs didn’t think of this idea.. I seriously would’ve loved the chapter more, I absolutely love it and hope they’ll incorporate dogday like this in the future 💜💜

I could tell this was a mod for accessing weird spaces, but I thought there was a genuine way to save him while watching this. I was confused how there was alternate dialogue. I'm sure many players were trying to grab his restraints during his speech, yet NO ONE else found this "secret". Really disappointed that Rizado didn't mention that this wasn't really an option. I guess him walking was a mod using the standing frame for Huggy Wuggy or Kissy Missy.
The fact that the nickname he gave us is ‘angel’ is the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen 😭😭

Kinda wished the devs had tinkered with this idea.... would've made the player feel like they had more control over how the story would play out rather than all being scripted.
Maybe if we ever get a full game with all chapters they could tinker with alternate routes as well? Though a scripted game like this isn't all bad either.
But yeah, a perfect route with extreme difficulty where you save the good toys could have been fun.

A shame that the dialogue doesn’t always sound like how he would be expected to speak. He would be much more panicked just as the critters start swarming in and would be gasping for breath at the next encounter. Like he could not believe he was alive and free. The way he talks out in the courtyard once up and walking does fit though. Like he’s just tired of life, but dearly trying to hold onto any positivity he has left in him. Bless this dog.

This concept is so awesome! I always wanted to save DogDay from his sad fate. Like before the game came out I was hoping for DogDay to be an ally to us in the exact same way like this Mod portrayed him.
This mod makes me so happy cuz it’s what I wanted so badly to be in the original game. DogDay in this mod is so sweet and has a calming presence. I love the concept when horror games put you in a terrifying situation but you have a companion with you to help you out in your time of need to give you that sense of safety. Like Glamrock Freddy or Boris for example. Even when your in a dangerous situation it’s nice having a chill companion with you to help you out and to remind you that things will be okay.

I know right. When I was playing the new chapter, I saw Dogday I felt so bad😢
It might be because they aren't just toys, the staff made their orphans into toys for more.. real emotions and relationships. But this quickly backfired and many toys rebeled and ended k!lling the staff on the day 'The hour of joy'. But some still kept their inocence, even though there were very few. Dogday is a toy orphan who kept himself together and nice.

another thing, since Kissy is (probably but not sure) attacked by Dogday in the end of chapter 3(im not sure if its dogday but he is the last monster lasting there) , since here he was not transformed, they might rather both get attacked maybe by the prototype, that is now for sure following the protagonist as we meet with it's hand in chapter 2, so it would make sense for it to be somewhere there observing us
Always thought it was Huggy that killed her, I'm not sure if he actually died in Chapter 1 but it would be a cruel twist if he did

idc! this NEEDS to be canon! i just feel like Dogday should've been a companion in the actual game similar to Freddy in the later fnaf series, it's just so upsetting the we players didn't have any sort of control over Dogday's demise, I felt like if we WERE able to save him in that scene in the actual game then it would've been a really good route for the devs to pull from, i mean imagine dogday and catnap together :((
although i understand that the ending of the game poppy playtime 3 definitely puts the whole smiling critters story to an end (kind of)
