THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG AND I JUST SPENT THE WHOLE DAY LEARNING IT. YOU ARE WITHOUT A DOUBT ONE OF THE GREATEST MUSICIANS I HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD. NOT ONLY YOUR FANTASTIC CLEAN GUITAR PLAYING, BUT YOUR EXQUISITE MELODIC VOICE. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM YOU!
Would you please, please, please, play the whole song all the way through with all of the verses. Your playing and VOICE are fantastic ! I think for as many hits as you have for this you could get that many more. You really are talented. Please do the whole song :)
Don't let me e lonely version ...AWESOME SLOWLY EXPLANATION... the numbers at the corner great,,,a huge hug from Portugal & Thanks..you impulse my comeback to my most inner music spirit !!!
If you think it may or may not be the correct way to play it, then allow me to tell you that it is your correct way to play it. Don't ever let anyone tell you that's not the correct way because, this is your arrangement, you wrote it, it's your creation or revision, or improvement of an already great song. This is one of the coolest songs written by the "Great James Taylor" Your take on it is impeccable! Thank you for sharing, I actually like it better than the original. I am adding your version to my repertoire. ❤
I have to perform this song sat nite and I've never played it. I'm playing guitar with another guitarist that is singing it. Now I feel confident that I can play it. Thank you for the tasty lesson.
soothing voice pattern's and guitar work ...I am a tayor fan grew up that eror ..I am ready to start playing all the cool stuff start slowing thing's down lol .. Yeah I am starting to fill the year's ...this is material I can see myself playing ...keep em coming ...You sound great coming from someone who got radio play breifly in the 90's ..
Absolutely fabulous lesson. I love James Taylor and this is one of my favorites. I was just messing with chords for this, but now I can really dive into it. Thanks.
Well done, nice mellow style.....teaching and playing/singing. JT songs are notoriously difficult to figure out (he always throws in those crazy/beautiful jazz passing chords) but they are fun to play. I noticed the same thing about searching around for others' TABS when I'm having trouble figuring out a chord. I look on Chordie or some other site and they all seem to have glaring errors that I know are not correct. Sometimes you get lucky and there is a video of the artist playing the song so you can see the chord or someone will make a good, accurate tutorial, like you did here. Thanks for making and uploading it. Music is life. Peace.
One of my favorite JT songs,,,,,thanks for covering it and your on-screen tablature will some day be a standard on here....excellent sound, guitar and voice....many thanks
Great lesson. After playing this song for a long time and seeing James live many times, I discovered that he finishes the tune with a C2b5. Give it a try. You may find it works. Thanks again!
.I could not figure out the chords before your wonderful lesson. I can play it now. You've got a great singing voice.JT is generous with his lessons also.Hope he gets to hear your version. He would be proud!
wow thanks well done I love being able to see the finngers and where they go. Cant read music or understand musical termonoligy. Just picken and strumming. Blues player. James Tayler is and always was my Musical Hero
THANK YOU!!!,,,I totally forgot this song and I was lookng to revisit this song....funny but why I was watching you I had an urge to have a glass of wine:)..lol What a great presentation!! Thanks again:) -Scott
Ahhh ..... Brill,...brings me back to my days travelling around Australia, & i was just learning guitar, at the time, wanted to play this but couldn't.....now after this tutorial i can !!!!! ;) this track has my mind now wandering back to the hazy, lazy days of 2003, thanks ..
I really enjoyed that. You made it really simple. I like flashing the chord so simply the way you did. Really enjoyed your voice to. Just righteous. Thank you for making this.
Very nice. I really like the chords shown on the top left of the screen instead of stopping and telling us what string and on what fret you're playing. Very nice. Thank you. kg
Wow, just amazing! (my daughter uses that word and I can't stand it but it applies here!) I've loved this song forever and never took the time to sit with it cuz I thought it'd be to intricate. I came across you this morning and now I've learned it in 30 mins! Great voice, such a fan! Thank you for making this so easy! Cudos to all that you do!
Great interpretation! This is very compatible to my style. Moreover, it's a bonus to hear some subtle jazz chords color the inside of my guitar. As a songwriter I am careful to only play a couple of JT songs as our styles are somewhat comparable. However, I will add this obscure JT song to my repertoire at coffee house gigs. May you get paid back a thousand fold for sharing this great rendition. All the best!
This is a fabulous version of the song! I've performed a load of his songs from standards to obscure, but never spent time on this one. You did a great job and shame on me, for not thanking you sooner.
I could hug you. Thank you. I'm always asked to play JT songs so you just got a new subscriber. You don't happen to have a Walking Man lesson laying around by chance? Really appreciate your method of how-to. Spot on. Great voice btw, real easy on the ears. Thanks again.
Sad to hear John, I wish you the very best and just so as you know, I will be referencing your channel on an ongoing basis, very impressive indeed. Thanks again for a great find
