I have the Spigen thin fit. It's amazing and I have zero complaints. It's actually the gripiest phone case that I have due to the matte finish it feels so good in the hand.
My favorite case is the Kevlar case by Latercase. It is very thin and has a nice grippy texture. I think it's something like 0.6mm thin. It's crazy when the phone manufactures go to all these lengths to make a thin phone and then everyone slaps on a thick case. With the Latercase I still get that svelte feel when holding the Pixel 7.
What a refreshing change to see a "proper" review, not just some affiliate chasing clowns with Amazon links to products that they've never seen. Not even a text-to-voice engine in sight! Good stuff.
I have the Peak design case on my P7 Pro, it's pretty much brings MagSafe to the Pixel, meaning I can use the excellent matching Peak Design Mobile Wallet. It holds up to 7 cards and can also be used as a phone stand, really handy.
The official case for the Pixel 7 is awesome, I love the feel in my hand. Unfortunately though, my lemongrass case looks dirty as it has picked up some black stains from being in my pocket, i guess the material of my pants transferred onto the case somehow, and i've tried everything to clean it off but to no avail. I found this video to see what other options there are, I went for the Ringke Onyx case. Wow, it's amazing and it gives your phone a more boxy feel, and the camera bar is covered too. Luckily with it being in black, it shouldn't stain :')
purchased the Google case for my 6 and it warped in 4 months so I got a matte transparent case from Amazon for $10. Had no issue but also I never drop my phone.
If we are speaking about design, the best case is Google's official case in my opinion. But for me the 1 major issue with the official case is the material. It's very slippery. Every time I pool out pixel 7 from my pocket i hold it with both hands because I'm afraid that it's gonna fall off...
The Pixel 7 is an amazing (and amazing value) phone that handles beautifully, looks great... and that is nearly ruined by the janky fingerprint sensor (I miss the 4's face unlock dearly). One good thing about the 7 lineup however is how much Google improved the official cases from last year. These one's feel really, really good. I can also recommend the Rhinoshield ones as a great alternative with a cool textured feel.
No love for the leather cases from Bellroy? I think mine are great and the way some of them patina over time to me is a plus. Have dropped mine from small heights a few times and haven't had an issue yet... Yet. 🙂
I was wondering the same thing. Tech21s offer outstanding phone protection which is really the main purpose of a case 🤷🏾♂️. I've literally dropped mine from staircases stumping all the way down and when I check the phone it's like it never happened.
So I bought the Lemon Grass case for my Pixel 7 but have replaced it with the Spigen Rugged Armor case £16.99 Amazon as I get far better purchase on the Spigen compared to the slightly slippery Google case.
I'm curious about the official case. You're saying it's not a good idea to, for example, buy an obsidian phone and a black case? Or vice versa? Is that because the color of the phone body leaks through the case somewhere?
I have a peak design case and the fabric on mine seems black, while his seems more grey. I'm not sure if it's just the lighting in the video that makes it appear that way, or if there is variance in the color
I love the look of the official Google case, but man is it slippery. In certain conditions it feels like it would just fly out of your hands. Sometimes cases like those take a while to break in, so maybe it's good after a while, but I stopped using it because I was afraid I was going to drop it every time I grabbed it.
I find the Google cases way to slippery to use comfortably. Especially when taking out or putting in a pocket. Currently using the UAG scout case and like it
I have the spigen rugged armor and the ringke clear for my 7 pro. I like the rinke better, the spigen doesn't look like it has as much protection. It's pretty thin, and the rinke has bigger raised lips
I bought a Google case but it is far too slippy in the hand for my liking. Mystery why Google couldn't have put a grippy strip down the two sides. Best way to protect your phone is not to drop it, so I'll be looking for a replacement soon.
he doesn’t say anything about durability/drop protection for any of the cases besides the Mous (unless I missed it..). Any thoughts on this? I accidentally drop my phone a lot but don’t want the mous case. please help :)
One case to rule them all: Latercase. It is the thinnest case ever and It provides just the right amount of protection for the corners and back with a very good grip while keeping your phone profile as thin as it was intended to be. It also nicely preserves the edge swiping of all curved display phones without any intrusion. I've used it on a OnePlus 7T, 10 Pro, Galaxy S22 Plus, and currently on my Pixel 7 Pro, and it did perfectly well on all these phones through the years. My wife wasn't convinced until she tried the case and can't go back anymore to the old bulky cases she previously used. Almost all my friends have switched as well.
Chose the Mous Limitless 5.0 case because they ship to Canada, and don't gouge you when they do! (Very reasonable $6USD) Unlike another NY state based brand that shall not be named (but is listed here) ... they could throw the cases over the border!
Loving my official Google Pixel 7 Pro case in Hazel. (The gold accents really compliment my Hazel / Gold coloured Pixel 7 Pro👌) Feels great in the hand and compliments the already great design. It feels a part of the phone and not an extension of it. Plus polycarbonate design this year is much better. 👍👍
Idk why you said that spigen thin cover lacks grip because I found it more gripping than the pixel 7 official Google case. I've 5 cases and the official one is the most slippery. In fact that's the reason I don't use it anymore.
official case has protected the phone well from numerous falls but doesn't feel nice and is too slippery constantly falls from sweater shorts/pants when sitting . I prefered the P7 one that turned yellow over time but Google refunded without return based on picture... might go third party for the P8
Which one is most durable? I drop my phone at least twice a week :( I do care about the look and material but it's more important, not to break it on the first day. Although the case for protection, unfortunately, I had a bad experience in the past. So, can someone help me?
Google's official cases are the worst of the lot. Bought one with my non-Pro Pixel 6 last year. It started deforming & didn't even provide adequate drop protection in 6 months - which lead to screen damage when I dropped it 🤦
I just bought a Pixel 7 after trading in a Pixel 5 that was starting to separate from itself. I was able to get $300 for it. I picked up the official black Pixel 7 case. I like that it has the "G" on the back and it seems like it matches the style of the phone pretty well, and is not too bulky. I also bought the Spigen Tough Armor, so I could put a metal plate in between the two parts of it, so I could magnetically attach it to my wireless charging car mount. It works perfectly. It holds the phone and charges, and you can't tell that there is any metal on the case, nor is there any metal scrapping against the back of the phone.
Is the original google case worth? Because that design....Oh my freaking god, it's so amazing and I want to buy it ,also I have seen that the buttons, are very easy to press
Currently have a Rhinoshield case for my Pixel7 which is bulky but very grippy and safe. About to change it to a Quadlock case though so will see how that goes. Wasn't impressed with official google case as it feels like it has zero grip
I bought the P7P original cover with the device and don't like it at all, dreadful surface resistance it just feels cheap and slippery. I fell back on my go to manufacturer after 3 days (Spigen) and threw the Google cover in the glove compartment of my car, next stop will likely be the bin. I have very little good to say about the P7P, the cover quality and design confirmed my conclusion. Don't waste money on Google's mobile devices.
I have the Spigen thin fit. It's amazing and I have zero complaints. It's actually the gripiest phone case that I have due to the matte finish it feels so good in the hand.
Spigen liquid Air Armor is way better than the thin fit
Was using Spigen on my OP 3T for 3 years!
Now using Spigen LAA on Pixel 7!
My favorite case is the Kevlar case by Latercase. It is very thin and has a nice grippy texture. I think it's something like 0.6mm thin. It's crazy when the phone manufactures go to all these lengths to make a thin phone and then everyone slaps on a thick case. With the Latercase I still get that svelte feel when holding the Pixel 7.
and then its damaged when you let it fall
What a refreshing change to see a "proper" review, not just some affiliate chasing clowns with Amazon links to products that they've never seen. Not even a text-to-voice engine in sight! Good stuff.

I also use with my Pixel 6 Pro and agree with you ☺️
Spigen Tough Armour for all phones.
Really good protection and has stands for watching video content
The official case for the Pixel 7 is awesome, I love the feel in my hand. I really like my ringke onyx, solid case, grippy, great case!
purchased the Google case for my 6 and it warped in 4 months so I got a matte transparent case from Amazon for $10. Had no issue but also I never drop my phone.
I went with the DBrand Grip Case which works well for me.
If we are speaking about design, the best case is Google's official case in my opinion. But for me the 1 major issue with the official case is the material. It's very slippery. Every time I pool out pixel 7 from my pocket i hold it with both hands because I'm afraid that it's gonna fall off...
Got the Ringke Onyx. Best grip and all protection IMHO.

Re fingerprint sensor, try registering the same finger as additional ones and that seems to help greatly, worked for me.
Lol people said the same for the Pixel 6 but for me it's hella fast and works pretty much 9.5/10 times so everytime pretty much
Do you use a screen protector? Maybe that's why I never use a screen protector
No love for the leather cases from Bellroy? I think mine are great and the way some of them patina over time to me is a plus. Have dropped mine from small heights a few times and haven't had an issue yet... Yet. 🙂
My favorites for my 7Pro are Dbrand and the Mous that you recommend Damien. Once again another informative and relevant video!
Ghostek look so good tbh
Those pieces of soft rubber inside the case make me feel actually safe 🤔
Any reason why the Tech21 product was omitted? Been using their cases for years and they have been great.
I was wondering the same thing. Tech21s offer outstanding phone protection which is really the main purpose of a case 🤷🏾♂️. I've literally dropped mine from staircases stumping all the way down and when I check the phone it's like it never happened.
what about the Dbrand Grip?
Poetic Revolution Cases are always my go to cases for my devices. They're very durable, they're not super bulky and they have a kick stand
OtterBox Defender. Yes it makes the phone a bit more bulky, but worth the protection.
The otterbox defender pro is the best case you can get for protecting your phone !!!!
So I bought the Lemon Grass case for my Pixel 7 but have replaced it with the Spigen Rugged Armor case £16.99 Amazon as I get far better purchase on the Spigen compared to the slightly slippery Google case.
What are people's thoughts on the Belroy leather case?
I'm curious about the official case. You're saying it's not a good idea to, for example, buy an obsidian phone and a black case? Or vice versa? Is that because the color of the phone body leaks through the case somewhere?
Do you think a pop socket would attach to a Mous case?
For protection I always go for Mous but for pure premium luxury I go for Bellroy leather cases
I have a peak design case and the fabric on mine seems black, while his seems more grey. I'm not sure if it's just the lighting in the video that makes it appear that way, or if there is variance in the color
The cases that come with magsafe are they strong enough to hold magsafe compatible popsockets
Great video but sadly unable to find any of these cases on Amazon AU.
I'm rockin the clear Ringke Fusion on my snow P7 Pro! I really wish rhino shield would make a bumper case again for other phones besides Apple!🤷🏽♂️
Does it go yellow?
@@SUSHRUTSSA Nope! I believe it's designed not to!😎
Spigen Liquid Air Armor on my Pixel 6. Have used one on my previous two phones.
Can you suggest best screen protector
Do you not consider Dbrand?
I love the look of the official Google case, but man is it slippery. In certain conditions it feels like it would just fly out of your hands.
Sometimes cases like those take a while to break in, so maybe it's good after a while, but I stopped using it because I was afraid I was going to drop it every time I grabbed it.
Do you guys use screen protectors

What about ballroy and casetify?
I'm using lemongrass official case on black Pixel 7, it's great imo.
Does it protect the lenses enough?Cause,in my opinion that's the only drawback for that case. Also ,is it true that the button are very easy to press?
@9to5Google Do you have a recommended screen protector for the Pixel 7?
he doesn’t say anything about durability/drop protection for any of the cases besides the Mous (unless I missed it..). Any thoughts on this? I accidentally drop my phone a lot but don’t want the mous case. please help :)

dbrand grip?
Always surprised I never see this mentioned on these lists. I've had 3 including the original that was just a bumper and have loved them.
Which one is most durable? I drop my phone at least twice a week :( I do care about the look and material but it's more important, not to break it on the first day. Although the case for protection, unfortunately, I had a bad experience in the past. So, can someone help me?
Spigen is first, bell Roy leather is second for me. Spigen has a great trip and not bulky

UNICORN BEETLE PRO Cases are my fav
Is the original google case worth? Because that design....Oh my freaking god, it's so amazing and I want to buy it ,also I have seen that the buttons, are very easy to press
I found the official google case to have no grip on it for my pixel7
I got my pixel sealed in the box for $434 USD with a Spigen Tough Armour and screen protector 😄 never going back to iPhone
Currently have a Rhinoshield case for my Pixel7 which is bulky but very grippy and safe. About to change it to a Quadlock case though so will see how that goes. Wasn't impressed with official google case as it feels like it has zero grip

Don't waste money on Google's mobile devices.
i use ringke onyx and...
it's quite slippery actually
@9to5Google - Please make a similar video for Pixel 7 pro as it is more fragile because of the curved screen.
Imagine reviewing the best cases and leaving out the actual best case for this phone - the Dbrand pixel 7 grip case.
Ghostek Atomic slim is my favorite
Mentioning Cases without a Dbrand case is not complete. Dbrand and Caselogy's Arthlex cases are about the best for pixel devices
Nillkin frosted shield>>>>Spigen thinfit
Spigen for last 4 phones
Case-mate clear case
Y'all are sleeping on the crave case
lBeRoy is the best case by far...
I so hate clear cases ... My best is Moment's
Supcase or Poetic
Do you give away some of those? May I have 1 🙃
Casetify > all of these
Cases!!!🥴Cases!!!
Hi Damian, my wife left me
I can't even enjoy my Pixel 7. It randomly shut off, and won't turn back on. Even charging isn't working. So, long story short, getting a refund.
skill issue
@@2oux Yeah, Google with their quality issue.
"Let's waste people's time" content.
Ehh the best case is a $8 clear case
Using Ringke Oyx on mine, it's amazing.
