she has a few songs where she sings lower than she normally does, but this is definitely different than those. theres something with the production and her vocal style that makes it a bit darker, but honestly, its awesome! i love this new style, and im excited to hear more.
this song is a little safe, but for an artist who has always done more "unsafe" music, thats the biggest change she could take. plus, she adds so much to it with just being poppy.
if you havent heard, this is her first track from her upcoming album, and i cant wait to see what shes done.

maybe for one song LOL. the coolest thing i thought poppy did was like in songs X and Concrete where the song would go from one extreme to the other. cute pop love music to heavy sad lyrics. i love she is still heavy. zig worried me b/c i love guitar driven music. i would love if she did more shoegaze like in hysteria and more power pop like so mean. never happen LOL.
Poppy has a wide vocal range. I really enjoy her lower register. This song feels good to me.

Always knew of her but never really took notice spit, scary mask and church outfit spotifiy radio, I was like "Hmmm fucking dope! I'll go buy poppy tickets to see her live this year, why the fuck not!"

I dont think she's singing lower. She may have brought it down a tad because it compliments the song better, but with songs like this song and "Hard", i think she may be singing at what the natural tone of her voice is, as opposed to the poppier (no pun intended lol) Poppy. When i 1st heard the song, i thought the "Poppy" at the start even sounded different. Not in a bad way, though. She is a phenomenal artist, in my opinion, and i can't wait to see her this summer. If you told me almost 2 years ago, i would be a big Poppy fan i would have chuckled. I always thought of her as the "weird A.I. YT girl" that kids liked. I had no clue that she made music, good music at that, and that she was turning 30 this coming January. A friend sent me her "Bloodmoney" video, and after a month, i finally watched it. I'm so happy i did. She's doing really well, and i believe she deserves success.

she sometimes changes her tone of voice on songs. sometimes she makes her voice higher, and sometimes lower, or in the middle so her voice has sound deep like that but only on a few songs

I've seen her last three (headlining) Toronto shows. First was solid, second was very good, the last was absolutely terrible. I chalked that third one up to it being the last night of the tour, but it does have me hesitant to part with the cash to see her next time through.
