Gonna print the pattern this evening and get started! Thank you!
Please, please, please listen when I say this, woman to woman: you are beautiful because you are alive!!! Big, small, doesn't matter, you're an amazing woman no matter what. Love yourself and how you look, because we all love you and what you do! You are blessed with smarts, grace, and beauty, and this audience is lucky to have someone like you sharing your art with us ❤
Corinna, first of all, you are not fat, thick, big, or whatever else you call it. You're so damn gorgeous and your smile makes you shine like a literal star. And second of all, there's a lot of apologizing for "being annoying" in this vide0. Did someone say that you were annoying? Because I will fight them, I'm not afraid to throw hands with bullies.
All of this!
@@Chifaire thank you! No, people on here are the best lol , I just assume I might be being a little annoying sometimes lol ❤️❤️❤️
An Alcapa and silk yarn sounds divine. I have to try it. Love the shrug, which looks more 1930ish than 1970s.
I keep hearing you say that it's getting bigger one side more than the other. And as if I think you can hear me, I'm saying out loud that one side goes across your shoulders and the longer has got to go around the back, then I started laughing at my self🤣. Oh silly me!
I was doing the same lol
I am just finishing a similar shrug that I made to wear with a solid colored sleeveless summer dress. I used #4 variegated acrylic and I still love it after blocking. Yours will be gorgeous with the silk and alpaca yarn! I love the sleeve detail in the 70s pattern here!🧶 PS I wanted mine bigger than the OS so added some rows. I did keep checking by holding to me as I worked. Fits perfectly. Now I think I want to make the one here, too!
I have to make this, those sleeves look amazing, but i just finished the titanic shawl, so jumping into a 3mm hook project oof, gotta marinate this project a bit. Love it though!
Correction : as the majority of this is made in 4.5mm it does move up in my project list, and the whole change of hooks is pretty fun. Really an amazing piece. Thanks for sharing!
You are so pretty I have been watching your program this year enjoy it. This is one I think I am going make. I am late 70 so is vintages like me.
I’m glad to know someone else talks to themselves as much as I do! It’s gorgeous Corrina. Those cuffs could be used to make some interesting gloves
This is so 70's....I love those cuffs. Thank you! ❤ brings back memories 😊.
Imagine this with a little bit of sparkle, for a fancier shrug for a cool evening out
Cross stitching: smaller and smaller mesh.
Crocheting: bigger and bigger and...
🎶I don't need no stinkin' gauge🎶
Hi Corrina, I thought I was all shrugged out as I've made 6 recently!🤣 But that looks so pretty I'll have to give it a try!
I really like how the sleeves look.
Oh my gosh, who are you!? You are so beautiful! I've been watching your videos since the very beginning and just came across this video in my feed and barely recognized you! You are looking so good, lady!!
Pearl buttons would be beautiful on the cuffs if you wanted to put in some buttonholes.
I really appreciate your approach in learning along with us; please don't change a thing! 🙏 ❤
I can only imagine how soft your yarn is and its perfect for this pattern. I think you've made an heirloom piece with this one. So beautiful.
Very pretty. I keep telling the screen that 27 inches is halfway..lol The instruction at the start said measurement was 54 inches cuff to cuff, if I was reading right. Love your work ❤
I think they don't want that side to grow is because when you sew it together the growth on the other side will make that spot billowy, technical term, like the rest of the ruffle. Makes sense to me. I am excited to be making this pattern. Thank you for all your videos.
Corinna, that shrug looks so great on you!! Im built almost exactly like you and I am cautious about wearing these things. But I see it on you and it looks wonderful! Love it! And my name is Robin so I might just have to get this one.
Marvelous fiber blend!
Adorable. Definitely will be making that!!!
OH WOW! THATS TOTALLY MY JAM!!!!!!!!!!
Oooh….i love those cuffs ❤
You are so brave sharing your weight! Most of us are not svelte 😊
Thanks for sharing this one. I love it! I am making it with flax blue superfine alpaca/rayon (calls for hook size 3.75 but I'm starting with 2.5 as I see there will be a couple of increases in hook size for this). I have added more repeats to the cuff to size it up for me. I hope that won't cause me too many challenges in following the rest of the pattern. I'm mystified as to how we will work from cuff to cuff, but I'll watch part two once I catch up to you. I am blocking the cuff before continuing on, the pattern looks much more defined now that I have blocked it. Love it! Thanks again, you are such a great source of ideas and inspiration!
Well done Corrina! It is absolutely beautiful! 💞😍
I just stumbled across your channel and absolutely love it! So, I subscribed❤
I bought the pattern....wish me luck!
@@maryb6872 you got this!! I look forward to getting part 2 out for you all and you will see it a total breeze to make 😊😊😊
How cute!
I love EFA and Chandi!
So pretty Corrina. It's on my to-do list for sure. 🎉
Beautiful!!!! And so is the shrug.
Gosh look at all that yarn
❤ 😍 very pretty thank you
Love the cuffs on the sleeves
Beautiful work as always
silk blends can be so splitty just because they don't always stick to the other fibers in the blend.
Lol! Did you release this for my birthday.? Lol! Today is my birthday and my name is Robin. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Happy birthday! I hope today is wonderful.
Very pretty! The picots are a nice touch.
That's beautiful and I might make one too 😅
Just got to many projects with deadlines... 🙈
Hiya hon!!! I have misses you! I have rewatching your channel! Lol.❤❤❤
I’ve finished my homework! Any idea when part 2 will be released? I’m loving this so far!!
Love today's vid. I've watched some of the early vids lately great update
Très élégant 😍 j'adore ❤
Hi Corrine I just love it A bit to hard for me but I still love it 💖💖💖🦋🦋🦋
You should try! She is so easy to follow, I love it! I am not brave enough to try with Alpaca/silk yarn 😅 but I think I will find something else to try with. 😊
I would like to have the sleeve inverted on another body construction like a cardigan. I mean, have the cuff part on the arm right after the armpit and then the net panning out like a bell sleeve. It would be drappy and ruffly 🥰
Hi Corinna! I just thought I would let you know that I was in the Hobby Lobby in Flagstaff, Az today and they had the Lion Brand Mandala String yarn that you love so much, I picked one up since it is so pretty in person. I know it's also still on Amazon but at least there's also an in store option.
27" done next tut please 😊
That’s Awesome!
I was going to ask you does it have sizing for extra curvy women? lol one size fits small.
Hi. Very nice 😍✌️❤️
Thanks 🤗
I love the shrug and especially your explanation. My question is, why are the cuffs not done in the round?
@@relaxme7922 my guess would be that it would make it difficult to work it down the other arm as you begin to finish the piece
Also for vintage crochet folks, size E hook. I had to look it up cause I'm mid century modern!
Hi Corinna! It's really lovely! I'm not sure if you mentioned it, if you did already I must have missed it, but can you tell me approx how many yards of yarn this used for your size? I'm a 2X so I'll probably bump up a whole size hook and do some extra rows. Thank you so much in advance! Love & hugs to you and yours!
Hi, I may not have mentioned it, but I did leave all the info you need in the description box :)
@@justvintagecrochet I apologize, C. I'll pay more attention next time! Thank you so much!
@@LadyValkyri no need to apologize at all ❤️❤️❤️
😍🤩😍
I am finally up to the picot in each chain five and I do the second version of the picot so that is how I started. I have to comment on your nails. They are perfect and beautiful. Do you do them yourself or are the acrylic? I just started doing my own because me nails are splitting length wise on a couple of fingers. I am a gardener and I work a lot with my hands otherwise so there was never any need for a manicure but I want to protect from the splitting.
My goodness, this is a beautiful project, I think I might give it a try. Do you think linen would be a good material to use? And just in my prime time too.
@@robertadriver6931 I think it would be just fine, as long as it’s not too stiff, I bet the linen would be very nice and cool in warmer weather 🤗
Gorgeous! Much too nice for a bed jacket! Xxx
Are you aware that there's no sound in the "reveal" portion at the beginning of the video? We can see that you're talking away to us but there's no sound.
@@snospmoht3252 yes, there will be a full reveal in part 2 that will have the verbal audio, I have to do that because as I said at the end of this video, it originally was not my intention to put a reveal at the beginning, but I because this has to be a 2 parter video, I needed to show some kind of a reveal, this beginning clip is part of a whole conversation I had with you all at the end of the video, and it would have been off for me to include a random portion of a conversation out of context lol , so I muted, added music and an saving the full reveal for part 2 where it will make more sense
I like this shrug it’s very pretty, but I find it isn’t for me, I tried to make one from another creator, and don’t personally like how I feel in them.
