Thank you for sharing, I wish I could afford to have some (one-off) 4130 steel parts copied/cast from the inferior materials I used at the time I fabricated them. Like Live Steam 1/8 scale AAR Type A locomotive trucks that I have several blueprints of & a plastic & wooden sprocket I made etc.. Any guess how much it would cost to make these in regular 4130 steel for me? Anything more than a few hundred bucks is not feasible for me. I don't even have a milling machine or a lathe yet either :-(
Not. Because the wax pattern is immersed in the liquid ceramic(ceramic slurry), all parts of the pattern are soaked in ceramic slurry. So if we have a hollow wax pattern, by dipping it in ceramic slurry, all the inner parts of this pattern are impregnated with ceramic. So we will have a complete ceramic mold. Thank you for your introduction. We are a manufacturer of precision casting equipment in China. If you are considering upgrading your equipment, you can contact us.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
Refractory material i.e. materials having very high melting point. Used to make mold cavity for complex 3D designs for a great surface finish final product of casting
The surface of the castings produced by this process is always so uneven and never looks completely finished like a machined part. One would think that the ceramic coating the wax before the sand application would make for a smooth finish on the metal. Looks like the texture of the wax is still transferred to the metal. I've always heard that the castings are simply never as strong as those produced by machining. But what the heck, it's cheaper.
I've tried getting someone to talk to me about a machined product I would like to start casting. If you would be interested in taking a look at the solid model please reply to my comment.
I worked in this factory for about five years. It is a very beautiful story
Thank you for sharing this video , I am working in a valve industry. It helps a lot

You did a great job thank you....👌👌👌👌👏👏👏
Beautiful and clear expressions
Do you use White Alumina Oxide during casting process?
This video helped in my studies

Thanks - I will use this in lectures
Thank u , i have a question please , which kind of wax types they use ?
Where does lot number go for traceability
Hi ,is the sulrry made of fused silica powder?
Yes
nice video. thanks a lot.
Lindo trabalho parabéns 😊😊
I formerly worked in a casting foundry, most of the processes shown in this video was done by hand at my former employer.

yes
They process recycle and re use it
That helped a lot...thank you

So investment casting only applies for solid parts ? Am I right ?
Not quite. If you use a core that will later get dissolved out, you can form hollow parts or cavities in the casting

Lost wax casting procrss: wax pattern→ceramic slurry coating→silica sand or zirconium coating→drying→dewaxing(by heating)→pouring molten metal.

Cool video! Please tell me what kind of powder do you pour after pouring the metal and what is it for?
