@Rory Waylon i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Lots of people are commenting about having firearms for protection against bears. In BC the conservation officers I’ve met (who deal with bears regularly) say your best defence is an air horn to scare them off, as with a firearm or bear spray it is easy to miss, to hit but only injure the bear, or to accidentally spray yourself or the wind end up getting you with the bear spray. All the best, love your videos and planning to get off grid soon!
You’ll see in this video we have our first fire and meal! It’s awesome! The hard part was building it with minimal weight since it’s 5 feet up on a deck! Building it light but still able to stay cool on the wood frame was a challenge but we did it! Doing one on the ground would be amazing! I’m going to put a couple more support posts under the deck and expand the deck so we can walk around the wok stove!
Greetings from Sask. You guys did a great job on the Wok project. The ceramic decoration is a nice touch. What ever you were cooking...sure looked good.

Not loading the wood in from the top was bit curious but it's a learning curve and with a bit of patience along with an adjustable fire grate will make it do anything you want over time. Nice to see Nicole on the mend so nicely and she needs to know if she hasn't already how to use the cordless power tools on her own builds instead of just a few hand tools. Trust both of you carry Bear spray outside and have it within arms reach because it likely knows that people mean trash/food and surprising Yogi won't come out well no matter how it happens...

Seriously need to take few extra precautions in bear country because if they decide you might be tasty you could be on the menu in their territory they are the alpha predators.
ohh Jake that Kitchen is seriously making me jealous now,,no joke am coming over for Dinner next time,,, but here is my little two cents : --- It would be nice if this Wok had handles for easy lifting out when Cooking ,are you getting another one in the future ? ,, just so you have options. --- I think you should look into getting a " COAL POT " you can pot Coals in it burn it a little and then put it in the fire whole when your Wok gets too hot you can remove it to let the wok cool down then put back when need more heat. good idea or not ? ,,that's how we did back in the Day in the Caribbean with outdoor cooking with big metal Drum Ovens. Plus the Coal Pot will have an added multi- purpose cook top an you can cook simultaneously on the wok and Coal pot for more than one dishes at at time. ---- Another option we did is Get the big Metal drum ,cut the top off fill with dirt mixed with gravel copack and pat down so the dirt is condenced. Then put three large Stones on top to hold the wok and Viola you have another Cook top. hehehe ,,, Am a Suther Island girl at heart boy ,,lol ,,,lol ---- In my Country back in the day " believe it or not ' we had Giant Copper Culdron but not the pots like on Google .These were use to put on farm lands to water plants and live Stock and butchers would have them too for when cooking the remains after butchering a Cattle (male or female) etc. They would cook the whole Cow /bull head or all the gut tripes/ parts to sell. ---- P.s,,,, I think Nicole should put some of the plants that Keeps Misquitos away around the Gypsy Tub area. You know how Misquitos are right ? lol ,,, Fantastic video and that Garden maan!!! love it !!!! not the Bear poop though ! Cheers!

You can convert a cheap digital camera to night vision by carefully removing the IR filter over the sensor. Triggered activation might be a bigger issue.
Hey sweet girl-- if i was you,, id be wearing some kind of boots!!! Specially since that injury you just had-- all that limber u were cilmbing over in flip- flops!!!😣 dont get hurt again😉 be safe- puma growled cause that bear was still close & could sense it!!!!😲🐻 stay safe!!!

A bear asks a rabbit if it has problems with poop sticking to it's fur. Rabbit says no and the bear picks him up and wipes his ass with the rabbit. Morale to the story is that a bear will do as it pleases.
Another handy, yet romantic, task accomplished ✔️ Beautiful craftsmanship, Jake! Love the finishing touches, Nicole! You, two, compliment one another beautifully. I am elated you found one another ❤️
Happy for the two of you.. Just seeing you work and play together brings tears to my eyes...congratulations of a remarkable job and much success to you both!🎈🎊🎆🎇🎈😄
Wow! I love your Wok cooking space, amazing. Your kitchen garden is looking so green and lush. Your videos are lovely to watch, thank you for sharing your wonderful cool life style. 👌😃
"There's bear scat from the last hour." "OK, honey, enjoy your stroll alone through the woods, with your mace tucked away in your satchel." Personally, a 12 gauge L&L in the hands would not suck.
You do know that you have no idea how much time elapsed between those shots, or even if they occurred in that order. It could have been days between those shots. Also, there's always the potential for bears in the area. It's Okay.
Brandon MacGillivary I personally found it interesting... as dog & human waste is NOT good for such... seems there is less Bear totally 'broken down' , as to berries etc. so IS beneficial...
For THEIR safety, they need NOT discuss if they do, or do NOT have firearms. As remote as they are... no need telling the "bad guys" what strengths or weaknesses they may have. The next "helpful" arguments would be on caliber, amounts... yada yada yada... they are NOT into that, obviously. Give 'em a little credit... they HAVE gone over the security issue, for sure... ahead of all their adventure posts.
@@seminolerick6845 Wherever they are it's probably far enough to not worry about stalkers. I think target practice would be a cute vid. I get it though, It's cool =)
wilgarcia1 Dunno... seems distance is not a problem for wackos, with a penchant for harming innocent folks. Methinks you are missing their point, that they share not your love of firearm dependability, nor need to display such... the web is overloaded w/ such sites... they choose to use , and get along with everything possible that they come across... instead of "blasting" all possible threats... a welcome relief to myself, nowadays...
@@seminolerick6845 ..So agree with you, most likely Americans commenting about firearms since they depend on them when someone doesn't agree with them. Bang Bang !

Seriously need to take few extra precautions in bear country because if they decide you might be tasty you could be on the menu in their territory they are the alpha predators.
Your scenery introduction is the best I have ever seen, what a beautiful place!!!!!!!👍
ohh Jake that Kitchen is seriously making me jealous now,,no joke am coming over for Dinner next time,,,
but here is my little two cents :
--- It would be nice if this Wok had handles for easy lifting out when Cooking ,are you getting another one in the future ? ,, just so you have options.
Then put three large Stones on top to hold the wok and Viola you have another Cook top. hehehe ,,, Am a Suther Island girl at heart boy ,,lol ,,,lol
---- In my Country back in the day " believe it or not ' we had Giant Copper Culdron but not the pots like on Google .These were use to put on farm lands to water plants and live Stock and butchers would have them too for when cooking the remains after butchering a Cattle (male or female) etc.
Cheers!
The jazz music at the end of the video sounded great
Hey! Yall are awesome. but it only takes 1 time to regret not making her take her bear mace. well you dont make her so i should say, it only take one time of not taking it with you ma'am. better safe than sorry. complacency kills. great video! :)
And PLEASE dont take my comment as any disrespect. Just concern. :)
Great couple, perfect paradise and those lovely pets. HOME be like!! Live for each other forever 💖
any way to set up a night camera to see what kind of critters are snooping around while you're sleeping?
They definitely should,if it was me I would
You can convert a cheap digital camera to night vision by carefully removing the IR filter over the sensor. Triggered activation might be a bigger issue.
That’s exactly what I was thinking...Game cameras are not expensive and they run forever on a set of batteries
@@rogerrabbit6522 how do you remove IRfilter ?
I'm speechless watching this video,i really wanna life like this
Hey sweet girl-- if i was you,, id be wearing some kind of boots!!! Specially since that injury you just had-- all that limber u were cilmbing over in flip- flops!!!😣 dont get hurt again😉 be safe- puma growled cause that bear was still close & could sense it!!!!😲🐻 stay safe!!!
I agree about the foot wear. Ii is amazing that this is the first serious injury they have had.
Dudes... its HER life... pls allow her to do such. They live "Outside the box" , and we ALL need to respect such. They are not adolescents, that need be told what is best... YOU take your chances... they...theirs.
Have a great day all !
Nicole also need to wear long jeans pants outdoors, they will protect her from bruises
@@angelabryan3823 lol i wear long pants all the time and i still get some beaut bruises and mostly i dont remember how i got them.
@@seminolerick6845 .. Man I love your attitude..you are kind !
You have to admit, that the video is very convincing and not much left to scrutinize. If so, awesome work.
Does a bear s**t in the woods? Yes, yes it does, on roads too 🤷🏻♂️
But they do taste good especially when they are on the berry diet
@@leaht-pu1tm ... hahaha thanks for the lmao !
I am elated you found one another ❤️
When are you going to fire up that tub I want to see it full and hot
Happy for the two of you.. Just seeing you work and play together brings tears to my eyes...congratulations of a remarkable job and much success to you both!🎈🎊🎆🎇🎈😄
With bears in the area I wouldn’t be letting Nicole head out in the woods by herself
You would not "let" her? She needs your permission?
@Weezy Breezy 😨🤢
Wow! I love your Wok cooking space, amazing. Your kitchen garden is looking so green and lush. Your videos are lovely to watch, thank you for sharing your wonderful cool life style. 👌😃
Does concrete store moisture in it from the air? I’d be worried about it heating up and cracking
Yep it will ...
That Chinese Wok table looks better than great! Thank you for sharing with us.
Great work on your wok setup but I have one major concern. The fire danger that you have with the ashes on the back end of it.
Nicole is self reliant you go Girl 👧
"There's bear scat from the last hour."
"OK, honey, enjoy your stroll alone through the woods, with your mace tucked away in your satchel."
Personally, a 12 gauge L&L in the hands would not suck.
Slake Thirsty 😂😂😂
And remember, to a large male in Rut the "Bear spray" is only a seasoning for humans. It rarely deters a male in Rut.
You do know that you have no idea how much time elapsed between those shots, or even if they occurred in that order. It could have been days between those shots. Also, there's always the potential for bears in the area. It's Okay.
...chief... that's your fu'd world... NOT hers...
Nice to see Nicole doing bushcraft, and bear scat for the compost, nice!
Brandon MacGillivary I personally found it interesting... as dog & human waste is NOT good for such... seems there is less Bear totally 'broken down' , as to berries etc. so IS beneficial...
its called "camping "
Do you guys have fire arms? i would be worried a bear would hurt my dog. Be safe out there =)
one word. firearms.
Bang Bang !
Not been watching you a long time but am hooked now. Love the idea of being self sufficient.
Please be careful with the bears dont wind up like Tim Treadwell and his woman
Jake: You have a wonderful woman who encourages you, supports you, and thanks you for your efforts to improve. That is the epitome of a wonderful relationship.
