Being a part of the Royal Family is tough, especially since theres a bunch of rules each member of the family must abide by. Now that Meghan Markle is set to marry Prince Harry, she’ll be required to take part in many of these traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation, including the correct way to sit, rules on dining with Queen Elizabeth II, their strict “no-touching” policy, and the piece of clothing all baby boys must wear. They cant reveal the gender, they typically have at least two kids, they usually give birth at home, they let a wet nurse breastfeed their babies, they give their children three or four names, and most Royals don’t put their babies in disposable diapers - except for the late Princess Diana who was a fan of breaking all the traditional rules.
This family even has rules on what types of outfits they should pack, and they keep a special outfit in their suitcase just in case a Royal death occurs while they’re away from home. Yes, that rule about sitting does apply to royal women. In the 1950s, it was considered impolite for ANY woman to slouch or cross her legs at the knees (it was seen as masculine), but the rule only applies to royalty now.
I still want to be royal. I follow most of the women's posture thingies and rule stuff. I'm happy to have a rule where no one should be allowed to touch me with their sweaty germy bodies and sweaty palms being shaken over two times.

As for the cloth nappies - use of disposables is hardly a step forward given the environmental problems associated with their disposal. Diana was hardly Robinson Crusoe with using disposables either. Until the 1970s virtually everyone used cloth nappies, and then started changing to disposables.

yeah my dad did too. Although like in those pics, his parents obviously gave him warm woolen socks to wear or stockings with the shorts.

Monarchs were NOT considered to be gods in the Medieval Europe. The religion in Europe at that time was Christian, which held/holds the belief that there is one God. Monarchs in the Middle Ages were considered to be chosen by God, but were not considered to be gods themselves.

The not being allowed to play Monopoly was to me the most unbelievable rule!. I already knew the part about taking mourning wear on trips, because when the Queen and Prince Phillip were in Africa her father passed, she had no proper clothing to wear off the plane. So a car was waiting at the airport when the plane landed and her assistant ran to the car and back with the clothes. It was in a biography on the Royal Family.

You only see the side of them on public display. You have no idea about there private lives. They are ambassadors for the UK and people travel from far and wide to visit the palace and bring a lot of money in to the country. Without these tourists a lot of people would be out of work.
