But pregnancy is no easy task for anyone, and members of the royal family have a ton of rules they need to follow during this time. Meghan Markle may love to travel, but this will be severely limited later in her pregnancy. And just because she has a baby doesn’t mean she will get to take too much time off from her royal duties. One fun part of being pregnant is having events like baby showers and gender reveal parties. However, these are celebrations the Duchess of Sussex is going to have to take a pass on. And when she’s finalizing her birth plan, she is going to have tons of family traditions and rules to keep in mind. Kate suffers from hyperemesis gravidarum, meaning she suffered from extreme morning sickness, and dehydration as well as fatigue , and she has suffered from this condition throughout all three of her pregnancies so that is why she is usually partaking in less appearances especially at the beginning
Not travelling while heavily pregnant isn't a rule exclusively for Royals. Its just a general rule for all women.

Just want to say, Kate Middleton Had HG with all 3 pregnancies the fact that she kept up her duties all the way till she gave birth is amazing, I had to quit my job at 5 months because the morning sickness was relentless it was non stop all day, the stress was too much . I can’t imagine going through that with basically the whole world watching you, and doing it so gracefully.
How Kate could do all that when I'm sure just want to hang over the toilet,poor girl.

What a lot of rubbish I had my babies at the same place Prince Edwards daughter was born and there were rumours that Archie was going to be born there too. In Britain you get the best birthing experience your hospital can give you I'm poor and didn't have to pay for my 4 pregnancies.

@@siaparekh5769 why they are still referred to with their maiden names? Most importantly why Duchess Catherine still called as Kate by some? Officially she doesn't go with that name in public. She will be someday Princess of Wales. And then the Queen of United Kingdom. In my own country both of the ladies are called by the official press as Duchess Catherine and Duchess Meghan.

They shouldn't even be known as Duchess Catherine or Duchess Megan, if we're going to be accurate it has to be the whole title i.e Duchess of Cambridge etc. It's a bit of a mouthful so is probably why people use their maiden names. From the beginning the Duchess of York was known as Fergie and still is. Another inaccuracy is with the use of Princess Diana as only a person of direct decent can be called Prince or Princess. Because Prince Charles is the Prince of Wales Lady Diana became Diana, Princess of Wales and not Princess Diana, but that said she was widely known the latter!
Meghan has many American & Canadian friends & there is something special about using a gift from your mother or best & closest friends. Depriving Meghan & her family & friends of this privilege is unkind to all those involved. A baby shower is an expression of love & joy. It can be private & special.

Being American I'm sure there's a lot of stuff the Duchess of Sussex has to learn and adjust to because she now has to fulfill the expectations of the royal family and the British people. The Duchess of Cambridge while technically still a commoner before she married Prince William came from a wealthy British family and was better prepared for that kind of life.
Luna And Lunar Playz The Duchess of Cambridge family worked hard for their money. They are working rich people. There is a difference between rich and wealthy. The Middleton’s before Kate’s marriage was not part of the aristocracy. Even though Kate dated Prince William, life as a Royal was new to her. And just like Kate had to learn and follow the rules so does Meghan.
They will probably do a small party, if Meghan wants. I'm sure she can keep anything she gets but it will have to stay private. Honestly, it is a good excuse to get rid of ugly gifts you don't like!

Thank God I’m a commoner. I could name my kids anything. I have a housekeeper, so no stress there. The queen would irritate me to death. All those hundreds of years of tradition. I have my fathers christening robe. My brothers and I were christened in it. Then the grandchildren. Then my daughter said she was not christening her kids as she’s an atheist. I say good for her. The church literally forces you to have a church wedding. I’m not religious, but was too young and dumb to just get it court registered and then have a party. Now days people don’t even bother to get married. You stay together because you want to, and not because you’re tied to one another. My hubby and I have been married for 46 years, and known each other 48 years. He’s just as sexy, handsome and gorgeous as he was all those years ago. The Royals can keep their rules. Just as I would want to be allowed to do as I please, and not to please some other person, or family member. Times, they are a changing. I hope Charles drops all that stupid curtsying and the permanent press smile on their faces. Whisper words of wisdom - let it be.
