wow , this is tamilnadu Ie have never seen at all . I am a Chennai dude but My Native is madurai . I honestly like the delta section and It honestly looks like netherlands with all those marshes and stuff . Also Chennai - Hyderabad route is beautiful
Kollam-punalur-thenmala-sengottai train route with many tunnelson ghat section is amazing and awesome.beyond words.hats off to indian railways.long live indian railways. Big thanks to indian railways. I read the description very very informative.once in our lifetime we must definetly travel in this route and enjoy nature. To refresh our mind
Mr . Chinmay Kole you are amazing . I like how you managed to capture vision of the banking locos . I have family and friends who are driving trains in Australia but they are impressed by the wonder of our Indian Railways . The s people were born in Australia so no idea about our wonderful IR and I have shown them the beauty of Kerala and the might of IR . Thank you for this excellent video . By the way Imhavebtravellednthisbroutebaboutb50;years ago when attending a wedding in Quilon . I’m 70 years old now .
Beautiful video of starting from Kollam Junction my Fathers birthplace . He served for 30 years as a motorman on TBM to MSB line . I noticed they are still using QLN code for Quilon on catenary posts . Cheers from Australia .
Loveliest video. Especially from kollam to shenkottai. And thank you for the time info. Very educative and useful for tourists. It takes just six hours from kollam to madurai. Bus journey takes more than 8 hours and more tedious and less safe. I am a great fan of your videos of konkan railway and miraj to madgaon to mangalore. Splendid.
Had relished this scenic journey since childhood when on that green maroon liveried meter gauge line to now on BG. MG had its own charm and a true railfan can only understand it.
Wow....that was an amazing journey 👏....Thanks for covering this route.....uff such beautiful landscape and greenery....the Thenmala ghat section was mesmerizing.
I already saw this scenic incredible amazing journey video sooo many times. I will see it many many more times. I love it sooooo much. No words to explain how much. Sincerely wish you good luck and a great happy prosperous life. Your hardwork, dedication, sincere effort, scenic amazing incredible excellent coverage and capture are very highly appreciated. Very thankful and grateful.
Predecessor to Kollam mail was Trivandrum Mail. Earlier from Chennai Egmore 2 trains Trivandrum mail and express were operated vis Madurai, Sencottah,Quilon . When the new B G line was constructed from Tirunelveli to Kanyakumari/Trivandrum via Nagercoil to Trivandrum the line was extended to Quilon. The earlier M G line from Ernakulam to Quilon was Converted to B G. So the M G Trivandrum Mail/Express were terminated at Quilon aka Kollam.
I wonder how you missed out on quaint Bhagavathipuram, and Edapalayam station in the midst of a teak forest. Also the 13 arch bridge at 20:27 should be after Thenmala when going towards Sengottai, not before it. Wonder if the video is non-linear. Otherwise another standout Chinmay Kole journey.
Cutting through the ghats is scenic all the way from Sahyadris in the north to the last one at Aralvaymozhi where the ghats becomes so thin. Bhagavathipuram station was a spectacular beauty on the Kollam-Sengottai line during the meter gauge days. Was hoping to catch a glimpse of it, but missed seeing it in your broad gauge video. I wonder if it is still there.
very wonderful journey, particularl, the Punalur-Sengottai Thenmala Ghat section. I wonder hwo the unknown heros of Railway personnel and the workers toiled for laying the line and Tunnels in those days. Thanks for your hard efforts in bringing this delightful journey.
Vdo was good but with some information lacuna, information given in description was too good👍, when & which station banker of your train de-attached? Tenkasi jn. & Virdunagar jn. how & why???
I watched some train journeys on this route before. But your journey compilation is very Special because after 32:30 I just became speechless to see the beauty of Sengottai-Tenkasi. I repeatedly paused and watched again the moment. I think the true beauty of this section is in the silence of Western Ghat. Really Tenkasi-Tirunelveli has an amazing and mindblowing landscape. I want to go there for at least one time in this short life to feel the smell of mother nature and enjoy the journey. Well done Chinmay Dada 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

I like showing whole journey in a single video instead of showing it into parts. 😘

Beautiful scenery all along green lush vegetation no slums along the railway track as in Mumbai and north, Kerala is beautiful.

Can anyone say ,the time of departure from kollam of this one,n when will it reach madurai
Does anybody know how he undestood one line going to kayamkulam and other to punalur??
Simple commonsense. He's a railfan and would obviously know that even before he made the journey.
Really commendable
Wow its Wonderful Video bro and Welcome to Madurai bro!!
Its my Home town,
Is pantry or food service available in this train? Or do we have to buy lunch in Kollam itself?
Thanks for coming to kollam
WDG series of locomotives are for goods transport. Why was it attached to a passenger train?
