Straight-forward explanation. I personally missed the note that you should disconnect from power supply and remove the battery. As you are just cleaning the cover, it should be safe. But, if you would plan to remove any parts from the main board, including the fan for proper cleaning, it would be highly recommended in order for you and your laptop to be safe.
Recently picked up a X270 and the fan is a bit noisy and gets very hot. Used model but I think it's still worth trying to clean it myself. Not sure how the thrift store stored this thing lol. Thanks for this mate. Heads up!
I cant fcking even get the screws of my laptop out. Ive been using a screwdriver for 40 minutes, got one out and its broken in half. my laptop fans DO NOT WORK AT ALL, all they do is vibrate. I cant use it in school. it vibrates while im asleep. its so loud it can be heard through a wall. it dies in 20 minutes. 0 ram when its turned on because of this. please help
Call Lenovo or send in for repair. Mine worked flawless without any issues. Also the screws were extremely easy to get out of all my Thinkpad laptops in the past.
You need to know your voice is in a range that is hard for many people to hear, you speak softly and you don't enunciate much. Thanks for the video. Please try to speak in less of a mumble. Thanks.

This is a very very clear explanation, my friend. Thanks for sharing.🙏
Glad it was helpful.
Thank you.
What type of screw driver
Thank you 😁
Do you need to grease the fan
I did not. Fan was always fairly quiet.
Thank you
What is the model of your thinkpad that one has a dual fan.
P1 I think. No longer have that laptop anymore at this time.
Thanks
What about the fan?
what about cleaning the fans????
What? Wipe it with a rag and suggest compressed air? That is "fan" cleaning?
You know more than me and that's enough.
Is it the same instructions for a Lenovo Ideapad? Mine is kind of loud and it’s annoying me. Not sure if it’s caused by dust or something else.
Should be somewhat the same but not 100 percent sure.
