A song about self harm, written about Vessel from the perspective of his mother. Her favorite song type: ballad. Simple and to the point, straight to the message.
This song hit me hard too. I 've been struggling against self harm and depression for years. Now I'm happy😊
But it's heartbreaking, after listening to High water where he talks about his scars of his arms it makes sense.
I hope his beautiful soul is happy now with all he is achieving now a days.

I always viewed this as Sleep being manipulative towards Vessel as at this point in the trilogy, he's literally just "ascended" and doesn't need her anymore. It's Sleep poking at him and reminding him of the low point in Atlantic.

I always thought it was a Self reflective kind of song and question. His now more better ascended version being asked by his older self if he is really ok after all he has seen and watched happen to him. Sometimes it’s hard to stop and look at ourselves and realize we are different from the last time we looked at ourselves.

Dude.... I've slept on this song for weeks. finally listened to it entirely. DAMN
This song is reminiscent of the power ballads of the 80s. I enjoy this song because I'm a hair band lover from the 80s & 90s. My daughter had issues with self harm and I felt much like this song, i wanted to help her but didnt know how. She's been better the past couple years, but i will always worry about her. She got me into Sleep Token and we are going to see them May 6th, so I'm grateful we will get to have this experience together. To my knowledge they have not performed this song live yet. I'm hoping they will when we see them, but from the videos online from their current shows in Australia, they haven't performed this song yet. So, here's hoping. Looking forward to seeing more ST. @@InfamousDominion thank you. She's running off to join the Air Force this summer so I'm going to enjoy this concert and time I have left before she's gone. She's tried a couple semesters of college but says it's not for her. So hopefully she'll find herself in the AF. She's very smart so I feel like she'll find something that'll help her figure out what she wants to do for a career.
It's a good song to listen to when you need a good cry... It helps with the overstimulation of life
They have never played this song live. It's so beautiful but I don't think if I were him I'd ever be able to sing it live without falling apart. It's so deeply personal and emotional.

These 3 albums are a trilogy. All of the songs, across all 3 albums, tie together to one another. Several of the songs on the TMBTE album reference songs from the previous 2 albums, especially Euclid. (which is a masterpiece, btw) React to the first song from their first album titled "The Night Does Not Belong To God" BEFORE reacting to Euclid as it'll make a lot more sense. Then when you do the playthrough with lyrics, with the TMBTE album, do it in order of the album starting with Chokehold through Euclid. It tells a story (tragic but moving one) through the songs that you won't tie together fully listening to individual songs out of order. When they play their concerts, they play the album through continuous from beginning to end. A big reason why they're my favorite band, besides the amazing singing and genre switching, is the story-telling while expressing all of the pain that comes with it. Vessel is not afraid to show his vulnerability. These 3 albums could be a hit tragic romance, action-drama TV series, and I would binge-watch the ever loving sh*t out of it.
This song follows Ascensionism and is followed by The Apparition, tying into both. The lyrics of this song make those 2 songs sound deeper when you connect them. Every one of their songs are written for a purpose. There are no fillers.
I liked a few ST tunes before I heard this one, but this one dragged me into worship. It spoke to me in a way I wasn’t expecting and I was hooked.
You’d understand the story if you went back to beginning. You are missing so much listening out of order.

How can you be so off the mark? As soon as I heard the first note, I thought: "This is going to be a tough one". And it's definitely one of the most unpleasant and disturbing songs on this album. And I love every second of it.

You need to do The Night Does Not Belong to God and then Euclid once you get to the end of the album
For me this som is from the perspective of a parent who is watching thier child fall into depression and self harm and theyre hurting cos they cant help
That's how I see it too. Probably helps that I'm a parent and I see it in kids I care about.

Just my opinion...if you love Sleep Token, go further back...listen to HIM...similar sort of vibe and Ville Valo is still making music. His voice and writing is beautiful and I think it's one reason I love Sleep Token so much too.
