you probably dont care but does someone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
Dear, It's a sublime lecture. But I need more clear tutors for about dependent and independent variables coding, input and analysis process. Fore instance I have 4 independent variables and each variable have 6 questions which is developed 5 point likert scale. So first how can I enter those items to SPSS and how can I get a respective result for each four variables to develop regression and correlation? Thank you indeed!
hey you have been a savior since last 5 days. i just search for your videos to get my work done. i have a question though,my questionnaire has 4 domains and each domain have different number of questions but the response is recorded in likert scale how do i enter it and. do i just continue in the same manner you have done as in or how do i do it? genuinely need your help.
i have a question .. my 1st variable have 11 questions and second 5 and so on. all variables have different number of questions. is there any any video regarding that..
Say for example you had 3 groups; Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11 group. You distribute 30 questionnaires to each year group using a likert scale of 1-5. Would you recommend using a Anova test or a Kruscal-Wallis Test?
Fraz Hussain Hi Fraz, I tend to be okay with running an ANOVA on Likert scales, and make the assumption that the data are close to interval. Most people are fine with this; a smaller set of people have an issue with this though. I have not seen any convincing research on the subject that has clearly demonstrated the need for a nonparametric test to be run in this case. If the data are markedly skewed (nonnormal) there may be a need for a nonparametric test if a transformation is not used, but in most cases the ANOVA should be okay with 30 in each group. If you are looking for help with running the ANOVA, I recorded an ANOVA SPSS series with post hoc tests here: ruclips.net/video/ykGAuUot1cc/видео.html QS
This is really helpful thanks. But I have a question. when recode which results to include in the research (in my case) the original one or the recoded ? In my case I had to recode all the items because I rated them from strongly agree to strongly disagree so the highest mean score indicated a negative attitude. so i recoded my items to get a positive mean score but which result shall I insert in my paper?
+Sana La Morena Hi Sana, My pleasure. If you want higher scores to indicate a negative attitude, then sum the scores of the recoded values. I;m glad you found it helpful - please spread the word!
How can I merge a few question (likert scale) to a histogram? for example question 1, 5, 10, dan 15 in item 1. So I want to combine all the questions become on single histogram.
You could add them together to create a total score and create a histogram on that, or take the average of the added scores (divide the total by 4 in your example) and then do the histogram on the average score across those five items.
Good day! I really need help. I am having a research with regards to the impact of technology towards the lifestyle, health and performance of the students in arts. What appropriate test statistic should I should I use? Please I need he answer. Can somebody help me please?
Hai I was wondering if I want to make correlation between dependent and independent variable, but here in my dependent variable it has 10 question in the questionnaire, how can i combine all this questions to get 1 value before i start doing the correlation?
+Challang Marak You want to enter the negative values as the respondents answered them and then reverse code the answers to the negative items afterwards. We have a video on this here: ruclips.net/video/iQRst7_3bhY/видео.html
+geum janfie Typically, you would enter each of the items individually and then add the appropriate items together to produce a subscale. We have a video on adding variables together here for more guidance on this topic: ruclips.net/video/7jxpSLZCBsw/видео.html
hii I am doing satisfaction level of employees. I have a question. please somebody help me. i have 68 questions which belongs to 13 factor,. I want to know the percentage of each factor. for example, q1, q2,q3, q4 and q5 belongs to one factor, and q6 to q12 belongs another factor. so how should I calculate this. please somebody help me..
I am currently doing some research on how current expectations of physicians compare with physicians current experience of community pharmacists in general practice. I am using a 5-point likert scale and 2 -part questionaire. The questions are identical for each part and i wanted to measure if there is a difference but I am struggling to understand what method of analysis to use ie 2-paired t-test and if this is appropriate.
Lol i clicked on this video in hopes to hear the proper way to pronounce "Likert"... thanks for starting out the vid that way!
Same here. Perfect! lol 😂
0:42 for the lazy
Search results for "Likert pronunciation* takes me here, too. Thank you, the author.
Thank you so much for this! I struggled so bad today with this but you've made it understandable !!

very clear! Thank you so much:)
This is fun!!!

Hi Muluken, Did you get answer for your question b/c I really need it now?
if you ask, "On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most enjoyable), how much did you enjoy this walk?" How would you code or enter this data?

Do we use 4 point likert scale like strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree and Strongly Disagree ???

Hello, is the option "not sure" in a questionnaire counted as 3 (like in neither agree nor disagree/ neutral) or just 0?
Dude... consider your audience. Anyone watching this video knows how a Likert-scale works... It took you two minutes to get to the real information
Dude. Your just watching. Stop complaining.
Can I apply that in a questionnaire Google form ? to directly obtain the results ..but I can't put the 1 to 5 ..
so what if I have 117 respondents. Are we supposed to put it one by one box???
Minute 3:28 straight to how to use SPSS.

+syafiqah halim
You would most like want to add the questions together to produce a total score. Then use this score as your new variable.
syafiqah halim
Better to compare means
Can I consider "no response options / missing values" as neutral option in Likert Scale ?
I don't think so...
how do we enter negative and positive values
+Challang Marak
You want to enter the negative values as the respondents answered them and then reverse code the answers to the negative items afterwards. We have a video on this here: ruclips.net/video/iQRst7_3bhY/видео.html
how do we enter the items by subscale??

Use M-U test, actually you have attitude based data (ordinal data) and data are in two different parts.
