Very I'm 31 and I suspect my mom is lying to me about my dad but I won't do much currently. I really don't look like him apart from the teeth and when I cut my hair a certain way. My wife met my brother the other day for the first time and said he looked like me a smaller version that's the only reason why I believe it but I really don't see it most times. Some women are frigging toxic and cruel they are capable of anything.
This should be a criminal felony. Too many women doing this. My best friend committed suicide when he found out his two teenage daughters were not his. I despise any woman who does this. 😠

When I say I cried throughout this and had to stop from time to time to gather myself. He hated a man till his death and after and that man went to his grave believing he did his son wrong. This woman because I refuse to call her a momma still is denying she was a hot in the ass!! Ohhh and the way his aunt spoke to him over the phone and when she came to the truck being disrespectful 🤬. I wanted to jump through the TV and punch her in the face!! Oh but look at GOD 🙏🏾🙌🏾. This blessing that has come out this mess because this is also helping him to mend fences with his son. At 53, he is finally on his way to mentally healing within 👏🏾. Generational curses are real and some parents will never admit they are the reason for messing up their children.

I had the same reaction. That mother and aunt deserve each other. She was so disrespectful to Kirk. Insisting he call her auntie. Madam, what have you done to earn that title? They were both so toxic, it was sickening. Auntie even supported her sister’s delusions. It was a hot mess. I saw why Kirk has not spoken to that woman in 23 years. Plus, his dad is a mental health professional. He and Kirk are going to be all right. That woman that gave birth to him can go kick rocks!
I feel ya. When that aunt refused to answer until he said, "Aunt," I was enraged. My heart went out to Kirk. He has endured trauma and pain one after the other.
I also recognize the blessings. He said his wife is a Saint. I believe God sent him the exact spouse he needed. May hevontinue to bless each one of them, his new-found daddy and his family.
Yeah, this was really sad. My heart broke for Kirk bc his mom would not be honest with him. I’m glad that his dad is still alive & that he’s able to build a life with him now. I’m also glad that Kirk’s son is coming around as well.
His family needs a lot of healing.

Mom did not want the real daddy to be the daddy. Simple as that. BUT she was wrong for not coming clean with the truth for Kirk to make his own decision to reach for a relationship.
I pray Kirk can forgive his mother. She clearly had a reason for not wanting the truth to come out. Still wrong, though.

I cried throughout also. My heart really goes out to him and his family. I know even though she did him wrong, it hurts him to be distant from his mother. But it's definitely a situation where he's safer for it. Unfortunately, there's no stability, no firm foundation there. 😢

Now, after seeing the documentary, my heart goes out to him. He's been thru enough. Abandoned, deceived, betrayed, mislead, lied to, etc. It's too much. Very heartwarming documentary. I've always admired Kirk's undeniable talent. I'm so glad he found solace in music during those sad and lonely moments during his upbringing. I thought his 'AUNT" Sara had a nasty attitude and I thought his mother was a total disgrace. For you to sit there and still dig your heels in to that lie was beyond lowdown, self serving and so unfair to do to your son, STILL. However, I pray Kirk and his father are able to develop a solid and loving relationship. ❤

Glad his pops is still alive. Mama would have really had to eat some crow! It doesn't matter how embrassed she is/was about sleeping around, she still should have told her son. Most people change as they grow older so she could have blamed all this on her past self and left it at that.

I'll have to watch. As a Genealogist when I share or introduce clients to their biological relatives always some type of resistance. I am glad his bio father is alive. Others are not as fortunate.
