Dealing with back pain for over 30 years I resorted to taking tons of ibuprofen, often on empty stomach. I was also a heavy drinker. Got misdiagnosed several times resulting in appendectomy and later gall bladder removal. Two weeks after returning to work I went straight to the emergency room where they found I had a massive duodenum ulcer. They didn’t operate. They just put me on PPI’s. Over the next six years I went from 230 pounds to 160 pounds. Had two back surgeries and now heavy pain meds. Every time I start feeling better and putting weight back on, I relapse. I no longer drink and haven’t had any NSAIDS for years but still fighting with this. It’s a vicious cycle with the vomiting and bloated feeling and lack of sleep. Going back to gastrointestinal dr because everything I’ve tried on my own isn’t working.

May I please get advice, I was diagnosed with duodenal ulcers 2 years ago and was treated with antibiotics. I've been fine ever since then until yesterday when that pain returned but its mild compared to the 1st time I experienced the pain.
So I want to try using probiotics because apparently they are also effective. Is Acidophilus Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium really effective in healing ulcers. I don’t want to take antibiotics again

I'm 20 years old, and my mom just told me a few weeks ago that hunger pangs aren't painful. I was so shocked. My stomach pain usually comes if I haven't eaten in 3-4 hours, and if I don't eat anything, my pain and symptoms feel EXACTLY like appendicitis. Like to a tee-extreme abdominal pain, not being able to stand up straight, and the pain is slightly reduced by pressure. The only thing is I no longer have an appendix lol. I've been dealing with these stomach pain problems since I was probably 7 years old. This is my norm. So I'm not quite sure if it's something as grandiose as ulcers, or maybe it's something else entirely. Duodenal ulcers are the closest thing to my symptoms though. Except the stomach pain keeps me from falling asleep at night because it hurts so bad, but it never wakes me up. I just can't afford to go to a doctor right now, but I'm kind of fed up with over-eating constantly because I feel hungry 24/7.

@azurerisus4256 I found out that I do have stomach ulcers but I lost my health insurance before I could finish treating them, so they're coming back unfortunately. I found an OTC antacid that helps a little bit. The pain is nowhere near a few months ago, so I'm hoping it just doesn't get that bad again

THen the pain comes pack a few hours later and it goes through Excrutiating to mild to nothing. Then repeats. Is it the smoking? I also eat marijuana edibles! iS IT JUST MARIJUANA ITSELF!?
