Felow Portlander/Ridgeline owner (had a 20BE that I just traded in for a 23BE) here. I’m glad you’re having fun with the new baby but also sad to know you ditched the RL 😂😂😂 Thanks for putting out so many good content. Just found out your channel and subscribed.
I myself have a touring and was thinking of doing the same. When you take out the gray piece you’re left with exactly what you have as the end result or did you buy a black center piece?
I noticed when you had the whole front end off upside down and we're talking about how it's a nightmare to pry that front fascia out, it looks like you can just take that piece off without taking the whole front end off. Is that correct or am I missing something?
You can technically do it without taking off the bumper based on others, I have not been able to and I feel like it would take a lot more time vs simply just taking off the bumper honestly
Bro, I've changed my fog lights out. You don't need to do all this. It's super easy. Just take out the lower two screws that he calls #1 and #2 at 0:47 to 0:49 ... then remove the clips above screw #2 (there are 3 clips between screw #2 and screw #3). Once you do that, just move back the plastic fender enough to be able to stick your arm into the hole where the fog light is. The fog light has 4 screws. The wire that you need to remove from the fog light is an L1B connection and you have to depress it on the bottom side rather firmly to get it to come undone. Wiggle it while you depress it.
Possibly, but the area around the grey piece is matte, not gloss and it's not a very smooth surface for a wrap to adhere to. For $100 or so, it was worth it to me to just buy the black piece
My thoughts exactly. Friggin gray on the front and rear. Makes no sense. Just put the black on and then put the black H-Mark Honda emblem on the rear while you're at it. Sigh.

Haha well I love the ridgeline. After 6 years of the platform just wanted to try something new! Hit me up if you have any questions!
Thanks for the video. I have a 2019 and would like to replace that trim for a newer one. Do I have to bring down all of the bumper to replace it?
great video!!....question: isn't it easier and cheaper just to repaint them?
100% lol
I want to know how to remove the rear bumper?thank you

You have to purchase the black trim pieces to replace the gray piece you remove

I think you might have answered that question in an earlier comment.

Considering there was no screws for the silver trim on the bumper, is it possible to just pry it out slowly?
Yeah you can, it’s just very tedious to do
How did you removed the clip holding the trim by the headlight? TIA
Which clip are you referring to? Once the screws were out, everything just pulled out, with a bit of wiggling
@@503pdxCars the black trim just below the hood line, I called it unibrow :)
My car is 23pilot and I want to change the front and rear bumpers to black too! Where to order bumpers?thanks
Just from my local dealership :)
@@503pdxCars Thank you, I have purchased it, but I don’t know how to remove the rear bumper. Could you please give me a tutorial? Thanks
Looks good! What did dealer say about the floor mats not fitting?
Still haven’t had time to take it in. Maybe this week
Where did you order that piece from and how much was it If you don't mind me asking?
I picked it up from local Honda dealership, with prices changing constantly I’d call your dealer or check online for current pricing
Congrats on the new pilot. How do you like tires and road noise vs the falken and ko2’s that you had in the past? Thanks man.
Thanks! I actually have a video coming. The OE tires have virtually no noticeable road noise. They're quite impressive for a light AT tire!
Is this doable without removing bumper?
Not that I’m aware
Can this piece ( lower silver) be replaced without removing the bumper?
I do not see a way to do it without removing the bumper
Plastidip… seriously thinking of doing plastidip on mine 😂😂😂
@@12Jsilva I’ve got an TrailSport on order and I think I’m gonna do that first. Give it about 5-6 thick coats to help with rock chips etc. lol
In the Honda forums some people did without removing the bumper
Looks so complicated, I’m here just wanting to swap my OEM fog lights to Amber/Yellow . 😢

Can't you just wrap that gray piece instead of all that removal work?

I’d plastidip the front and the side on my Elite. That’s the most easiest way. Too lazy to do all of that.
Agree 1000%
I dont understand why honda didnt make this shit standard. I guess more money for them smh
